It's the Albertsons of dentist office in BC . The other dentist office off of horizon and horizon way takes Medicare on top of your advantage so I saved thousands. AWFUL experience when it mattered. My husband and I have been patients at BDG Huxford for about 5…read moreyears. Dr Huxford decided I had a cavity on my upper rear molar which would require removing the cap then repair then replace it so I trusted him. A total failure to say the least. After trying to drill old cap off he began pulling at it. He took 2 attempts to replace cap. Neither fit, leaving a gap and knot sealed properly, SO 6 months later it becomes a huge abscess causing me to loose the tooth and in need of an implant. He said he could not fix this problem so I had to find another dentist. New dentist found other issues created by Huxford. He fails to do the quality work any patient believes and trusts they would receive. We have been going to dentists for over 50 years and this is the first one I would not recommend.

She was having a horrible time with her teeth so I wanted to help by giving her some cash and somehow I was billed for THE ENTIRE WORK because she filled out my information (clearly a person a no longer have contact with) and when I went to dispute it because I assumed he remembered the situation he said there was nothing he could do even though He knew I wasn't the one that had the work done and I'm pretty sure the manager falsified my signature. I KNOW this is FRAUD and I would have fought harder about this but at the time I was in the middle of filing bankruptcy and didn't have any money for a lawyer and I just added this to it. I have definitely learned my lessen for trying to help a friend after this whole horrible experience.

I should have sought legal representation for the pain and suffering this hack inflicted on me! Today my wife went to the office, but at the insistence of me, she had Dr. Cox for her first root canal . She was very impressed with his gentleness and was overall satisfied with the procedure. However, I have a problem with their billing practices! In March 2024. I had my root canal done at the same office and there was no "mandatory 3-D x-ray" charge. However, today, the girl at the front desk insisted that it was mandatory ! I asked her did they have 3-D x-rays 50 years ago when they were doing root canals? She remained quiet. I think it's appalling that they pad their bill $339 for this procedure knowing very well our insurance didn't cover it l! if it was so necessary then why didn't my insurance cover it? Be aware of this in Dr. Tay !

I made an appointment and received a message asking me to complete the online forms. I'm not comfortable putting all of my personal information online, so I opted to fill them out in the office instead. I arrived 10 minutes early to make sure I had plenty of time to complete any necessary paperwork. When I arrived, I was not greeted with a hello or even a simple acknowledgment. I filled out my name at the front desk, then had to knock on the clear glass window to get the attention of the women sitting there. Once she opened the window, I was informed that because I had not completed the online forms 24 hours in advance, my appointment was canceled. Excuse me, what? Nowhere on the website, intake forms, confirmation messages, or any communication I received did it state that the appointment would be canceled if the forms were not completed online 24 hours beforehand. I received a confirmation text on Saturday, another text today, and an email confirmation today... none of which mentioned this requirement or gave any indication that my appointment was at risk of being canceled. The lack of communication and the way I was treated upon arrival made for a terrible experience. It didn't look or seem like any drs office I had ever been to in the past. Since when does technology have to overrule every single thing we do. So beyond frustrating.

He was thorough, compassionate, and genuinely focused on getting to the root of what was going on. I never felt rushed or dismissed. He took the time to explain everything and made sure all necessary tests were done. Two weeks prior, I had gone to St. Rose Hospital for the exact same pain and was told it was esophageal spasms without much testing. The pain went away the next day, but when it came back two weeks later, it was a full 10/10. When I explained this to Dr. Leavit, he told me that esophageal spasms are very difficult to definitively diagnose and that he wanted to run a full workup to be sure we weren't missing anything. I am so grateful he did. It turned out to be my gallbladder, and it needed to be removed. I was told it was close to rupturing, and catching it when they did likely prevented a much more serious situation. I was there for several hours before being admitted to Henderson Hospital, and although there was an emergency situation that caused some delays, the team kept me informed every step of the way. An administrative staff member checked on me multiple times to make sure I was okay and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. I don't remember my nurse's name, but he was equally amazing--kind, attentive, and compassionate. He made sure I had everything I needed during a long stay from about 8 PM to 3 AM. The entire time, I felt cared for, seen, and supported. It was clear that the team genuinely wanted to find answers, not just treat symptoms. I can't say enough good things about the care I received here.

Yep. Five stars at an ER. I came in just after 9am after a trip and fall in my new home. I knew…read moresomething was wrong. Very wrong. I got signed in and took a seat, it was probably no more than 10 minutes and I was called back to a room. I was seen by the Doctor and you know what? He knew something was wrong, too. Portable Xray came in to take xrays of my elbow and guess what? Broken. Like .. BROKEN. They put me in a splint and made sure I had a referral to an Ortho for ASAP. When I had some trouble getting the referral to go through, I called back and they helped me get another referral for a different Doctor. All in all, i think I was in the ER for just over an hour. Definitely less than 2 hours. I'm so glad this place is right by my house, both because it's convenient and because I drove myself there with a broken right elbow. Ouch.
