I had my…read moreprocedure on 4/20/26 (wisdom teeth removal) and as of today (7/24/26), I am still numb in my lower lip. It is slowly getting feeling back, but my main issue is my follow up visit that I went to a few days after my surgery. I felt as if I developed a hole from my wisdom tooth extraction site to my sinus. I was having issues with water dripping from my nose when rinsing and overall sinus pressure/something didn't feel right and called the office to inquire about it/update them. The receptionist on the phone urged me to come in so the doctor can take a look at it, but I explained how I didn't want to take time off work and come in, just to be told it would heal on its own. The receptionist urged me anyways so I took time off and came in. I want to start off by saying my entire appointment from check in to leaving was about 10 minutes. When I arrived for my appointment, I explained my concerns with the possible hole (pressure, leaking) and my continued numbness in my lip. Dr. Johnson didn't even take a look in my mouth to look at the incisions or the possible hole. He simply tested my lip numbness with a cotton swab and told me the hole would heal on its own. He explained the numbness can last up to a few months or even a year in some patients. I'm not upset about the numbness as the tooth was impacted, but the lack of concern about my concerns of the hole that developed (who knows though, maybe I didn't have a hole, but I wouldn't know nor would the doctor since he didn't look). He simply told me to call him back after a week or two to update him on the numbness and to take Mucinex MD for the pressure. I explained to the nurse I was disappointed and wouldn't be calling back. After the visit I was still having dripping from my nose and pressure and developed a pretty gross sinus infection that thankfully has gone away.

Met with Dr Hunter for initial exam and again for extraction... very professional and personable guy, friendly and listened to my concerns. He assured me it would be a comfortable experience... and, he was right! After the novacane did its job, Dr Hunter made sure I was comfortable and without pain, checking with me often before each step of the process, 'you ok?', and telling me what he was doing .. before I knew it, he says 'we're done!' .. seemed like less than three minutes! Painless, effective... easy! Leading up to the extraction, I was quite apprehensive, but my fears were unnecessary! She communicated the possible fees that may accrue due to the different potential scenarios that may happen in my case. Elisa also introduced the payment plan system to me in advanced so that I did not have to worry about the costly procedure the day of. Dr. Kikuchi has great bedside manner and is very calm & knowledgeable. I received the X-ray, consult, and surgery all within 1-1.5 hours and was out the door. Incredibly kind, knowledgeable, gave me an estimate right away and scheduled my partner for an IMMEDIATE appt. Surgery day: could not have gone better. EVERY SINGLE PERSON working there was so so so nice!!! The doctor was incredible and put my partner at ease. My partner texted me and said "Thank you for finding him for me! I'm not so scared about this procedure anymore" right before they sedated him. The practice was beautiful, professional, and clean. Unfortunately, the first staff member I spoke with was extremely rude and unwilling to help. When I explained my situation and asked about rescheduling, she abruptly told me the provider was booked until July and seemed bothered by my request. After I expressed my frustration with her lack of customer service, she hung up on me. I called back and spoke with someone else who was much more polite and professional, but unfortunately they were unable to offer any solutions. While I understand scheduling limitations, there is no excuse for being disrespectful to patients who are simply trying to coordinate necessary follow-up care. The interaction left me disappointed and frustrated with the office's customer service. Please book somewhere else where your time and money are valued.

This was extremely painful mistake. The height of my pain was on Christmas Day. I reluctantly called Dr Calder's emergency number on Christmas not hopeful I'd get a response. I was so happy when his assistant called me back within 5 minutes! She was so incredibly helpful and understanding! Within an hour the Dr had called in a prescription for much needed pain medication; and his assistant had scheduled me for an appointment the first business day after Christmas. Mind you, this wasn't just an after hours request. This was Christmas Day! I work in healthcare as a Paramedic. Sadly, this level of customer service isn't the industry norm. Dr Calder and his team are definitely premier providers. Patients matter to them. I highly recommend Dr Calder and his team.
