A great experience from check-in to check-out…read more Every one of the office staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. A pleasurable experience. The "operating" room technician, CiCi, is amazing. All business at first (not a criticism) but she warmed up after a while. Great sense of humor! She didn't waste a motion. Part mechanic, part machinist, part artist, she did it all! Except for the bit reserved for the doctor. And, as for the Doc, very professional and caring. He understood and accommodated my hearing loss by speaking loudly and clearly. Dr. Ju personally administered the anesthesia injections. He was careful, patient, and, importantly, precise. Sometimes the injection pain comes from forcing in the medication too fast. He did not. And, he seemed to know exactly where the targeted nerve is. My numbness was only where it needed to be, no more. So, because the anesthesia was so precise, the drilling was painless. And, there was a lot of drilling! I really got my money's worth of doctor-time. Dr. Ju and his assistant were focused and concerned about my experience. I appreciated that! Of course, having dental work isn't something to anticipate with warm feelings, but Dr. Ju and staff made it as comfortable as possible. Thanks to all.

AWFUL experience when it mattered. My husband and I have been patients at BDG Huxford for about 5…read moreyears. Dr Huxford decided I had a cavity on my upper rear molar which would require removing the cap then repair then replace it so I trusted him. A total failure to say the least. After trying to drill old cap off he began pulling at it. He took 2 attempts to replace cap. Neither fit, leaving a gap and knot sealed properly, SO 6 months later it becomes a huge abscess causing me to loose the tooth and in need of an implant. He said he could not fix this problem so I had to find another dentist. New dentist found other issues created by Huxford. He fails to do the quality work any patient believes and trusts they would receive. We have been going to dentists for over 50 years and this is the first one I would not recommend.

Everyone I have encountered on his staff has always been friendly and compassionate, and are on top of communication. I have really bad anxiety about the dentist, but Dr Huxford and his group do a great job of being able to talk me down, and the work he has done had been great and even when I've opted for an extraction, it's resulted in minimal soreness, he's a damn wizard. Thank you Dr Huxford and everyone at Boulder Dental Group!

This place is completely unreliable and unprofessional. My husband and I scheduled a dentist…read moreappointment in February 2018 for my 5 year-old son with ASD. We waited a month for his appointment, and he was seen on March 3rd. Because of the amount of work that needed to be done, and also because of his ASD, we knew he would have to be put under general anesthesia. That was the recommendation of the dentist, and we left the office and were told that a referral would be sent to the surgery center. Well, we never got a phone call. After calling the office and leaving several voice messages, we ended up calling the surgical center directly, and they never received a referral for my son. We finally got a call back from this office, and we were told that we would need to go in to the office in person to pick up the referral. Every time we stopped by, their office was closed. ‍ I got another phone call from this location, but it wasn't for he referral. They wanted me to schedule a 6-month checkup for my son. Unbelievable! ‍ I expressed my frustration with the gentleman on the phone, and he said that he would just email me the referral right away. We never got an email from them. At the end of September, I got a phone call from my son's school because his teeth were bothering him again. That day, I left another voice message with this office (which says they'll return within 24 hours, by the way), pleading for the referral. It's been 3 weeks, and they still haven't returned my call. After I left the message, I just decided to take my son to a different dentist. We ended up going all the way to Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry from Boulder City. It was very much worth the commute! They got my son an appointment very early the next morning. The staff were well-trained and equipped to treat my autistic son, they prescribed him antibiotics for his infection, and he'll be having surgery tomorrow to get everything taken care of (altogether, this took 3 weeks, which is way better than 7 months). The 4 back molars that just needed fillings and crowns back in March will now need 2 (and possibly 4) extractions. In hindsight, I should've taken my son to a different dentist a lot sooner, but I was hoping that this office would be professional and follow through with getting my son the help he needed. It's obvious that I don't recommend this dentist, and I really hope that this review helps other parents (especially those with special needs children) avoid a similar mess.

I never dreamed I would ever use those words to describe Oral Surgery -- I am beyond impressed. I arrived at the clinically-clean Henderson facility and was immediately welcomed by the sound of soft cruise/ lounge music and a tropical beach scene displayed on the big screen tv. The office is painted an 'island white' with few distractions, leaving one to focus on the soothing music and beach scene. It's SO tranquil and soothing I almost asked the other patron to dance, and we joked about ordering tropical drinks But no time for play, as I was promptly taken back for my appointment. Protocols are obviously in-place here, and followed to a "T." EVERYONE was on the same page and nobody missed a beat. From scheduling and intake, to pain-free and efficient oral surgery (due to surgeons' years of specialized experience), to post-op instructions and follow-up, I had nothing but confidence in this staff from start to finish. And I'm a dental scaredy cat. Dr. Gibson is so highly skilled that I felt absolutely NO PAIN or DISCOMFORT during the 15 minute extraction of a very well-rooted molar. I was awake and alert the entire time utilizing Nitrous ... laughing gas. No elevated heart rate, no sweaty palms, no fear; just confidence in my surgeon's ability based on tons of amazing detailed reviews. I'm 3 days post-op and STILL zero pain, zero swelling, zero bruising, no infection, no discomfort and NO pain meds (I declined) ... just XS Tylenol and Ibuprofen. I have several oral surgery experiences under my belt, and this was the only experience that has been 100% positive. That would be why they have a 5-star rating with nearly 1000 reviews. While this group was not in my Dental Plan, they came so highly recommended by so many neighbors on the NextDoor App that I booked with them anyway (the term "pain-free" was used in many reviews). Sometimes you need to go with The Best even if they're not in your Plan; imho surgery is one of those times. Gibson & Leavitt had many options from which to choose at a variety of price points, and they accept many insurances. Since their group was not in my Dental Plan I chose Nitrous (laughing gas) instead of my usual anesthesia. SO glad I did!!! I had no idea Nitrous could be 100% pain-free + it allowed me to drive home ten minutes later! I was beyond impressed with Dr. Gibson's expertise and the entire staff's professionalism. This is an amazing group of highly talented surgeons, doctors, and staff. I still can't believe my 'awake' Nitrous surgery was literally pain-free and that I am still 100% pain-free 3 days later. BEST oral surgery experience ever. This dental scaredy cat highly recommends Gibson & Leavitt Oral, Maxillofacial, and Implant Surgery whether they're in-Plan or not. If you are remotely scared or nervous about dental, oral, or implant surgery and procedures ... this is hands-down the place you want to go.
