Finally tried some of their bagels, I knew it wouldn't be long before I succumb to the Roo-ben, a play on the Rueben, which consists of kangaroo, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. I can't resist a tasty pun. And this one was really tasty. So is the Sardine Melt with sweet mustard and cheese. Well, if they keen on like this, Naked Espresso may have to become part of my afternoon routine too.

Probably one of the best coffees I've had in the city so far. Rather strong, just the way I like it. They give you tiny teddies to have with your coffee too, which was an adorable touch. Will return to try a jaffle or something else on the rather extensive menu for a small light filled space!

This is a totally delightful café. Everything from the ambience, décor, service and menu absolutely oozes welcome, warmth and just good quality. The coffee is great and the service is very relaxed and friendly. Everything makes for a very enjoyable visit. The place is tiny, with necessarily simple (but quite comfortable) seating, but it's popular. The only thing to note is that the music is probably a little on the loud side for a productive and undistracted business discussion.

Unfussed little spot. Good to get window seat to watch passersby. Tasty toasted sandwiches.

If you can wait, then it's going to be worth it, but if not you won't have to look very hard for caffeine alternatives in this part of Little Bourke.

Little Rogue speaks for itself. Honestly they don't need my review. All you need to do is look at…read morethe line out the door and down the alleyway from the time they open and you know they're doing coffee right. I had to try them with all the rave reviews, especially in my journey to find the best of the best of the Melbourne coffee scene. It's harder than it sounds considering any coffee in Melbourne is already pretty top tier in comparison to anywhere else. Little Rogue deserves the line out the door and rave reviews. Not only is it in the top of the top for coffee I've had in Melbourne...or anywhere...they're also just really cool people. Not a coffee snob in sight. Just down to earth smiles, friendly even at the crack of dawn, and happy to serve you some of the best coffee you'll ever have. Seriously. If Australia, or Melbourne, isn't on your bucket list, it needs to be if only to have the firsthand experience of the coffee everyone talks about. Like so many Melbourne hotspots, Little Rogue is unmarked. No signage. If you know you know type of place. You wouldn't know it's there except for the line out the door that gives them away. Just across the alley and up a few steps is a bakery that's also getting a pretty good rap. Make it a whole trip to start your morning right. You won't be disappointed. PS... If you're at any of the iconic coffee hotspots in Melbourne and you really love your espresso, ask for the (Melbourne) Magic. Just the 'Magic' for the locals. You're welcome.
