The word "Budget" in their name is misleading at best, and their sales tactics are downright fishy…read more I had a representative from Budget Blinds spend 5 hours of my personal time trying to sell me their service, all while insisting that their prices for the Lutron shades that we wanted to order would match what you'd find on the official Lutron website. I got their carefully crafted quote for $24,000 with a "whole house" discount and decided to double-check the prices with the promises of their representative. Guess what? Not only did Budget Blinds plan to charge me for their service and take a commission from Lutron, but they also added a massive markup--over 40%--on the publicly available consumer prices for the shades themselves. When I asked about the discrepancy in what they promised and the final quote, their local owner tried to gaslight me instead of honestly explaining the discrepancy or apologizing for misunderstanding. In the end, their promises of transparency and affordability were nothing but lies. If you're looking for honesty and a fair deal, I suggest you steer clear of Budget Blinds. This experience left me feeling like I narrowly avoided a scam. Don't waste your time or money here.

I went to another retailer who had me look at a product that could not be made in the size I told them I needed. Then, someone finally told me about Derrick and Pacific Isle Shades. What a difference! Derrick knew what products would work for me. He brought all of the color samples and was able to answer my questions. He made an excellent point about the large lanai door and remembering that it will be a big block of color when those shades are closed. I was confident in my choices that day. Derrick emailed me an estimate and when I approved it I was emailed an invoice which I could also pay online. In some sort of Maui miracle, my window coverings arrived in 14 days. Derrick scheduled the installation and he was the one who came to do the work. We have had flooding at our property and he proposed a way of installing the lanai shades that would enable them to be pulled down and saved if there is flood danger. Installation of drapes was delayed two days because the owner didn't reschedule a previously agreed date. zhe initiated the rescheduling to two days earlier and then blamed his scheduler for the problem. The big FU issue is that we had a new drape installed and asked that the old drape be given to the complex office "No problem " says the business owner. After installation I got a photo and a day or two later asked about the old drape. "It wasn't saved, it went in the trash " was the first response from the business owner. Seconds later comes his second response "It would have been nice to have heard about this when we sent the photo ". No apology, just an FU, it's your fault for not telling me what I already agreed to do. Bad attitude, bad business management and I won't be doing business with them again.

Fast forward to February of this year, we decided to move forward with replacing our flooring throughout the house. Hannah worked with us to finalize the flooring choice and get the product ordered. When they came out to measure the house they were on time and very professional. Before we placed the order we were very up front about the tight timeline we had to work with and were assured we had sufficient time for the flooring to arrive and get installed. Everything was going great and we were excited to see it installed. Once we placed the order it was very challenging to get updates, return calls or reassurance that we could get the flooring installed by the requested dates. Getting on the installation scheduled was frustrating. My husband finally went to the showroom a couple times to get the install date confirmed. Fortunately, on the second visit the owner John was there and stepped in to help us out. We got on the schedule within a few days. The installers we had, Sean and Brandon, did an awesome job and made sure everything was just right. They even offered to come back personally if we had a problems with the flooring. While we had a rocky middle to our transaction we would recommend Lei Flooring. The owner stepped in and made everything right in our eyes. The installers were professional and meticulous. Only suggestion we have is that they get more sales help to support their customers.
