Provider Michaela gave me the most thorough examination and physical I have had in my 66 year life. It was quite refreshing to have a provide who was personable and treated me as a person and gave me credit for living in my own body, talking to me as a person, not like an imbecilic lab rat like so many condescending aleopaths I have previously encountered that cut you off mid-sentence. I saw her a second time a few weeks later at a time I thought would have been inconvenient for her. Though I thought I had a purely superficial condition she methodically examined me and took a detailed account of symptoms, their severity and timing. Though she could have accepted my assurances this was just another incidence of a recurring problem she took the time to dig into my case and alerted me to the fact that it could indeed be a problem with severe consequences. During this second visit she also took the time to review my previous visit and earnestly addressed my long list of questions. I really felt like a burden but she insisted on resolving all issues, and did so kindly. Michaela Klose is the most thorough, dedicated medical practitioner I have ever encountered. Furthermore, unlike many MDs I have encountered that consider the Merck the one and only Holy Grail of medicine, she is receptive to holistic modalities and knows that not all healing must come from the pharmacist. I will be her patient as long as she will have me.

Next I go for upper and lower GI. They took biopsies. Then x-rays of my stomach. That was 2 weeks ago. No one has called with results. I called this morning and asked if I was suppose to follow up? They said a nurse would call me today. Being that I am never sick, I didn't know results took so long. A friend told me her mother had biopsies done in Paris, TX, and received the results the next day. Well this is Dallas so I guess they are behind. The longest 2 weeks of my life. I had to reach out to them every time about my prescription and they returned the call either that day or the next. I am not sure if these doctors are required to take a medical oath but common courtesy goes along way. If you choose to be treated like a number, this is your place. I felt on my first visit I was going to be taken care of. Even my female intuition had me comfortable. But once you leave, it's self serve. Now I have to wait another week to see my primary care doctor. He will have to give me another referral. Due to HIPPA, (lol) I can't tell you my issues, but my blood work didn't come out well. The prescription is not working at all, and no one basically cares. It leaves me stranded. Second opinion needed for sure. And in the mean time, trust me ~ I have no reason to lie, I am sick and needed help. Still waiting on my return call........ ZERO STARS IF I HAD A CHOICE. We all make choices and in "my opinion only" about the above issues, it was a choice by referral. Please do your research! ***UPDATE: They returned my call only to inform me they would get back with me later that day or tomorrow. So this is tomorrow- they called and advised me to get an OTC med. and they said the doctor needed to see me in 2 to 3 weeks. So while she was on the phone she schedule my appointment for exactly 1 month to the day away. I said, I thought 2 to 3 weeks??? She said, "Ahhhhh, got you down for the 19th" End of story !!! I'm letting my YELP family know that NTIHN has temporarily moved all of their appointments to the Frisco office due to the pandemic. They have an impressive COVID-19 protocol in place for your protection! If you are immune-compromised, I'm letting you know this office is doing an excellent job of keeping you safe. When I arrived, a note said to wait outside and ring the doorbell. Office staff met me at the door and instructed me to stay on the entry rug. No one was seated in the lobby. She took my temperature and had me fill out a COVID-19 related questionnaire. Everyone in the building was wearing a 3M type medical mask. I was taken straight to an exam room, and instructed to place my personal items in a bag they provided for me. I changed into a gown. As I waited they had a monitor in the room that stated: this room was sanitized with medical-grade wipes between patients, and steamed cleaned last night. We are also utilizing medical-grade air filters throughout the facility to capture a large percentage of airborne COVID-19. Nice! NTINH works as a team, amazing people who definitely go the extra mile. I've been a patient of Dr. Sorins for years, he was the first doctor to take my migraine pain seriously. Eventually, the Botox for migraines is what saved me. I thank the entire team here! Because of Dr Sorin, I'm able to live a normal life. Stay safe.

No communication each other and billing / charging team are very unprofessional with big mistakes they have made. And they allegedly no longer accept medicaid and medicare. Note. They grew to this BIG level of business with many help of Korean patients who needed supports from language barrier but it's hard to expect quality of medical service now.

They didn't give me the right instructions for how I needed to prepare for the visit. I came in for a physical and the doctor set up an appointment to go over my test results. There was an issue with my insurance and instead of calling my insurance or finding a solution I was yelled at by a billing person who couldn't give me information. I was told I couldn't get my test results without paying $180 for the first appointment and $89 for the phone appointment. She refused to resubmit my claim to insurance even when I had the EOB that said that's exactly what to do - and other providers have been able to do. The hassle of the incompetent office staff is not worth the sweet doctor - go elsewhere literally anywhere else is better.

It is nearly impossible to get in contact with the office for questions re scheduling, billing, medication refills, etc. The last straw for me has been being charged over four times what my (5 minute long, check-in-and-refill-meds) appointments typically cost with absolutely no explanation. I have tried for the past month to call, email, and contact via patient portal for explanation with no response. I can't even get a response in order to get my medical records. I'll preface all of the following with this warning: This is my OPINION, and for something like this it's highly advised you do your homework and not go off of reviews on Yelp, Google or any other thing. Make your own opinions. This isn't a dry cleaner or a restaurant...this is something you need to decide on your own. I can at least tell you my business so you understand what you are walking into at a very high level. The office is very clean and nice and I found the front office staff EXTREMELY kind and welcoming. That's extremely important here as it sets the tone for the appointment. If it is your very first visit you'll more than likely be asked to do a drug screen, which I appreciated because it does tell you they take precautions and are pretty responsible not to give anything to someone who is there with ulterior motives. My nurse was actually someone new to the practice who was doing her clinical training so we swapped stories and she took me back to see Ms. Donald who is the NP here. A little thing about NPs....I've seen some folks rag on NPs, and I don't understand why. While they may not be MDs, they are trained to do most everything except surgical stuff. My primary care doc is an NP in a practice with an MD, just like here. She prescribes things and diagnoses stuff just like her MD counterpart and I've never went "You can't do that because you aren't an MD" because she's more than qualified. It's a bit of a peeve to see people who should have done their homework act rude because Donald is a NP and gripe that she's not an MD. Guess what...NPs are medical professionals too. Do your homework though and know everything ahead of time. I already knew she was licensed and I did my leg work ahead of time. When I walked into her office she greeted me warmly and we talked about my issues. Without going all up in it, I have issues with anxiety and sleep and I tend to try and "do it on my own" instead of seeking help, which is never cool. You shouldn't be ashamed by the way to seek help. She was professional and kind and, more importantly, she helped. Nothing was pushed on me. Nothing was shady. I left knowing that i had been heard. When I was checking out the front desk ladies told me about Frisco Pharmacy which is right down the road. I had mentioned that the Walgreens I go to always seems to be out of everything and they let me know that Frisco Pharmacy usually has everything they prescribe and that they can have it ready in 10 minutes, as that is a selling point the pharmacy has printed on all it's promo material. I appreciate that they call and ask if it's in stock so that I know in the office if my meds are ready. Overall, I'm happy that I chose this practice. Are there places that will prescribe anything? Absolutely. I've got firsthand knowledge of those and let me tell you and they've been in affluent areas with an MD so don't think I don't know what to look for. I'm leaving this review so that you can see that a real person went here though. My experience might not be like yours but at least you see what you are getting into. Don't be scared to ask for help. I promise it's better than suffering through whatever you are going through.
