I haven't had my nails done in quite some time as I was looking for a new nail shop. I found Nails Please and noticed the great reviews they had and one of the nail technicians Helen I was already following on social media so I decided to book my appointment with her and try them out. I came on a weeknight before Thanksgiving and they were fairly busy, the wait was a little long but in the end was worth it. The interior is cute and clean, I love the few photo ops they have on the walls. What I really like is that they have a table with small bottled waters and light snacks for the customers, this is a very nice touch. Helen was my nail technician, she's very nice and professional. I was getting a brand new acrylic full set. I showed her a design that I saw posted, she took one look and went straight to work. My nails came out amazing, better and more detailed than I'd expected. The length is perfect, the attention to detail, the design. I couldn't have asked for anything better. This just might be my new nail salon and I will keep going back to Helen.
I've been coming to Nails Please for years, and Michelle has done my nails multiple times over that time. She is truly the best! Not only does she always remember me, but she remembers details about my life and genuinely asks how I'm doing every time I come in. She's so sweet, warm, and caring -- you can tell she really values her clients. And on top of being such a kind person, she does AMAZING nails. She pays attention to every little detail and makes sure you're completely happy before you leave. She's gentle, skilled, and really knows what she's doing. If you book with Michelle, you will leave happy every single time. Highly recommend her!
I'm searching for my new go to nail establishment in Fremont area. I have a place I like since it is walking distance and they give great massages. However I'm looking for a place that can check all my boxes of what I'm looking for (close distance, great massages, variety of pedicure services, and get my shape correctly). The reason why I'm searching for a new place is because it seems my big toe nails always crack on the corners even with gel polish. When my current place tries to fix the uneven shape from the cracked broken toenail, it always looks thick and uneven. I tried out Nail Please for pre cruise vacation pedicure based on other Yelp reviews. My first time here and I can't wait to return and try out other pedicure services and manicures. Booking an appointment was easy and I was able to get my preferred date and time needed for my schedule. I booked for the Coconut Milk Pedicure because it included paraffin wax treatment and a 15 minute massage. The pedicure service was great. After she got done with filing, I could immediately see that my square shape was correct. I was nervous when it came time for the acrylic but she was able to match it well the shape and it look natural. My only disappoint was the massage. Although it was 15 mins, she was moving so fast it didn't really feel like a massage, more like a rub. More time was spent on my calves then feet but that may be able to be switched if requested. Even with the feet, it was a rub not a massage. Wasn't too relaxing at all. I am willing to give the place another shot though because it is a great location!
I wanted to try this shop and decided to have my old set removed and a brand new set done. My nails looked great however they started lifting at 13 days old. I do not do anything extra strenuous, I wash dishes with gloves and I got them short so there shouldn't have been any mishaps with broken nails. I've had gel x nails in the past and they've never lifted or came off after such a short amount of time, as a matter of fact I chose Gel x because of the durability I have experienced while having them. They usually last close to 4 weeks. It's very unfortunate because the flowers were so cute and staff was very nice but the nails simply didn't last. :(
I love this place! A friend and I lucked up on it after getting our eyebrows done around the corner. Its now our go to meeting spot for our monthly mani /pedi hook up. I drive from Oakland to come here - that should tell you something. I love that they have good food near by and a Starbucks in walking distance to grab a snack while you wait or if you want to sip a nice warm beverage while you undergo your nail transformation. I've had three different people do my feet and I've been happy everytime. I love the variety of pedi experiences they have to choose from. The owner, Danny, stopped by to chat with us one day. He is invested in quality of the customer experience and that really comes through. There is always parking. Love this place
Michelle did my nails and one of my favorite sets ! Been going for the last 2 years ! Definitely left soooo happy , I never leave upset. They always honestly do a great job , and I would never switch to another place . Always asking me if I want anything to drink , if I am okay . I really appreciate them .
Ive been going to Nail please for a few years now. Michelle is my go to nail technician. She is absolutely amazing when doing my nails. She is so kind and informative when it comes to the health of my nails as well. I appreciate Michelle's quality of work she does for every set we do together. She makes me feel so comfortable while there. Would highly recommend her and Nails Please to any one and everyone!
Michelle is my go to nail tech. She does an exceptional job with acrylic. I love it think and she does it special the way I like it. She takes extra care and makes sure my nails are healthy. I never have an issue with breaking or chipping. She makes sure my toes are perfect too. I have gone to her for several years.
Edit: 518/25- Update: I received a call from my bank regarding my dispute, and was told the business claimed I returned to the store but did not mention the allergic reaction when having my nails removed. This is untrue. I clearly explained the situation at the time, and the manager apologized, stating that the staff were new and inexperienced. I have a full audio recording of the conversation. If the manager continues to misrepresent what happened, I'm prepared to make this recording public. I'm honestly shocked by the false and misleading claims in the owner's response. For full clarity: I never spoke to the person who wrote this, so it's extremely concerning that they're making assumptions and presenting false information as fact. Pricing was NEVER discussed or agreed on before my nails were done. Pricing was only told after my nails were finished. I got my nails done on May 7th and told the nail tech they were for EDC, which was happening May 16-18. She even joked that she wished she could go but couldn't because of work -- so she absolutely knew what and when the event was. I had them removed on May 15th, just a few hours before my flight. The only reason I waited was because of work. I was in town the entire time, dealing with intense burning and pain. What "vacation" are you referring to? That is completely false and misleading. I disputed the charge the very next day, not after removal, as they falsely claim. I've had Gel-X many times before, and what I experienced was not normal. The burning under the UV lamp was a 10/10 pain -- sharp, intense, and completely out of the ordinary. When I returned, the manager apologized, acknowledged that the tech had flooded my nails with too much gel, and said some workers were still new. She even asked me to remove my review, saying, "As Vietnamese people, we should support each other." As for the price gouging, I still stand by what I said. My friend was charged $80 for a basic clear set that wasn't what he asked for. The manager herself looked at the photo, agreed the price didn't make sense, and offered for him to come back and get it redone. It's one thing to defend your business -- it's another to completely lie and try to discredit your customer. As a fellow business owner, I find this incredibly unprofessional. I stand by my experience and hope others take this into account before booking here.
I was looking for someone who could do builder gel nails, and thankfully, this place offered that service. I called ahead before my visit and came in on a Saturday when the salon was quite busy. Upon entering, it felt like a factory operation--quick in and out. I was uncertain about the quality of the service, but I waited a bit until someone was available to assist me. I was assigned to Tai. Unfortunately, my hand slipped while he was using the drill. Thankfully, there wasn't any break in the skin; it just stung a bit. Tai reassured me that I was okay and apologized for the incident. I was a bit hesitant about having my nails done by him because he filed my nails as if he were playing the violin, which made me nervous that he might accidentally file my skin! Luckily, nothing of the sort happened. My nails turned out beautifully, and I was happy with how quickly he finished--within an hour.
I had originally scheduled my appointment with michelle but she informed she was running behind and that Tim can do my nails. I showed him the inspiration picture and he informed me it wouldn't be 100% the same i stated it was okay. He did an amazing job and was polite the entire session I'd 100% would book with him again!

I asked Michelle for Mexican Independence Day nails and she did just that!!! She is so sweet and stayed an hour after closing time. She didn't have to and I even said we can do a simpler design. But she is dedicated to her work and makes sure you are happy. I love her and Nails pleaseI feel so welcomed every time I come here and can't wait for my next appointment!!! read more

$50 for a dip mani with extra thickness and glitter ombre. I've been going to Trammy and she's great, very thorough and her shaping is top notch. I appreciate that she checks multiple times throughout the session, to make sure that the color, shape and length are how I want it. The pricing is a little higher than I'm used to paying for dip, but I think it's worth it since the quality and color selection is better than other shops in the area. Parking is easy and the shop is always clean. I have yet to get a pedicure here but it's on my to-do list! read more

I had such an amazing time at Nails Please. It was my first time coming here and I had made an appointment. We were seated immediately. The staff are so nice and fast with their service. This full set took less than 2 hours. Additionally, I showed several inspo pics of what I wanted and talked through each step of it with my nail tech. She consulted me on the color, the designs, and was so accommodating everytime I wanted to modify or change something. I will definitely be back! read more

I sent my mom to Nails Please to get her nails done for my wedding, just a simple gel manicure and she had a terrible experience. The appointment felt rushed from start to finish, and the result looked sloppy and uneven. For such an important occasion, this was really disappointing. We expected a relaxing, professional service, but unfortunately, the quality and care just weren't there. I definitely will not be going back and I recommend you take your business elsewhere. read more

I was not going to make this review but felt like I needed to after everything that happened. I came on Saturday with my sister and niece at 5pm and was serviced for a regular manicure and gel pedicure. Starting with the manicure- I like to keep my nails straight, square shaped and assumed the nail tech would look at my nails and keep the shape. That was my mistake for not saying anything because she presumed to file down and round out the shape on some nails, so the shapes were inconsistent. The overall job was ok, but the shape change did not make me love it. Now the pedicure- Everything was going ok until the lady started painting my nails. After painting all of my nails, she decided to get the nail cutter and "clean" the skin of my big toe. I personally thought there was no need to do that anymore, and she cut the side of my big toe with the nail clipper. I have a high pain tolerance, but that made me yelp "ow" out loud. She said sorry & proceeded to use a cotton ball press it to stop the blood and put the dryer machine over my foot. I still didnt think it was that big of a cut, until she lifted the machine and my whole toe was covered in blood! It would not stop bleeding and thats when I started to get upset. Other nail techs were coming in to help and I said please just get me a bandaid. She proceeded to get a little bottle of green fluid and tried to put it on the cut. I asked what it is and refused but another lady said it was to help stop the bleeding. After complying with that, it was still bleeding and they proceeded to put this powder on it before wrapping a bandaid. I would have not wanted to put anything on it but felt like they were not taking no for an answer. The lady who cut my toe was older and I understand it was not her fault. The pedicure was free, but I still paid for the manicure. I was fine with that, until I saw how bad my toe really was. It totally ruined my plans of wearing open toed shoes the next day (for my god son's baptism) and was actively bleeding for 2 days after the incident. It has been two years since coming here, and that experience made me not want to come back:( I just hope it heals well and no serious infection occurs. read more

Walked in at noon for a quick pedicure on my lunch hour. They sat me in the chair, turned on the water and made me believe I was getting a pedicure right then. But NO! I Saturday in the chair for 16 minutes and no one did my pedicure. I got up with my wet feet and left! I will not be back! read more

I came in with my sister for gel mani pedis. They did my nails+pedi at the same time, but my sister had the pedi first and was taken to a table for the mani so I was left waiting for 45+ minutes. I was looking at my nails after she finished and noticed they were lumpy..one of the other lady's noticed me taking the pictures and told me "don't worry don't worry we'll fix it." I felt bad because she was with a customer who had to wait on the side. Her "fixing it" was grinding down the top layer, putting on a clear coat, and then dabbing it with her finger... Avoid this place. For the price point I expect them to get my nails done right the first time (not that they even actually fixed it the second time) read more

I have been seeing Nikki since 2018. She is so kind, quick but thorough and very good at what she does. The ladies there are all super nice and very attentive. They always offer refreshments too. I have never not felt safe here and I cannot expect to hold them responsible for bad customers that come into the nail shop to get a service. I only say this as I came in at the tail end of an altercation that had nothing to do with the nail shop and they shouldn't receive a bad review for it. Please go see Nikki and the girlies! Risk of infection. Unfortunately they over-trimmed my cuticle on my left hand thumb, and it hurts SO bad even 2 days later. The most common way to get an infection is if your cuticle gets cut back too far. You can see it in the picture how my thumb cuticle area is swollen and red. I'm pretty disappointed that I had to end up making this review, since my friend's nails came out great and the lady that did her nails was very professional, but I'm upset that I got an extremely inexperienced employee, who also gaslit me into getting something different than the picture I showed instead of admitting they can't do it (shiny jelly nails). They were so lazy they didn't even put a coat of base color before applying the sheer color, and they also didn't clean up the shape or file more until I had to specifically request it. PLEASE be careful and do your research before coming here. read more

I got the gel manicure- there's no hand massage included and the gel polish started peeling off on day 3 from left thumb and right middle finger. I just peeled it all off finally. Right thumb nail doesn't look too great either. read more
DO NOT COME HERE. I honestly couldn't leave this place fast enough. Please avoid coming here because they will use old filing boards, thin out your nails with the rough machine, and you will feel like shit with their attitude. I can easily say that this is the worst place I've ever gotten a manicure in my life. Lina was an absolute nightmare. She had so much attitude when I asked her to be more gentle with my nails, and see if she could scrape them off, instead of drilling them down and thinning them out. She literally peeled my nails and I flinched in pain. She cut my cuticles without cuticle oil and my cuticles feel raw and honestly I would not be surprised if I ended up getting an infection from the used Emory board. She is the reason this place is getting one star. The entire time she was doing my nails has the worst attitude and she was genuinely upset the entire time. I attached pictures of my nails after. I decided to do nail polish instead of gel so my nails could rest, but she tried to keep selling me to do gel. I ultimately decided that I didn't even want any nail polish on my nails and not even a topcoat because of the horrible and painful job she did. My cuticles are in pain as I write this. The girl next to me literally made eye contact with me and I could tell she was shook with the way I was spoken with from Lina and my experience. Phoom worked on my pedicure and it was average. I hate how she made on toe round and one toe square. Lina was the one that checked me out and I let her know that I wanted $12 of the tip to go towards my pedicurist and the remainder she can keep. She legit gave me attitude and threw the receipt down and said sign this. It ended up being around $96-ish with tip. If I can get this, please negative stars I would get this place negative stars. read more

I feel like coming here is a hit or miss. I am not sure what my nail tech's name is but she was kind and accommodating. When I called and asked the price for a fill and new color I was told it would be $45. I got a fill, my pinky nail replaced since it was lifting, a new color with chrome on top and it ended up being $75.. I am not sure what caused the $30 difference. I did choose the color and I like the blue, however the chrome completely disappeared once the top coat was cured. I'm not sure why. I also found a hair cured into the top coat on one of my nails. A different chrome or another layer of chrome would have made the nails closer to the inspo. Like I said, it is a hit or miss. I think the nails I requested were very simple. My sister loves this place but I will not be back. read more

This was my second time visiting Michelle at Nails Please and she delivers! I brought a photo from Pinterest and she easily replicated it in about an hour. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. The whole salon is super cute, has plenty of seating for nails, and is true to their appointment times. I would recommend booking online in advance on their website. It was really easy to check in once I arrived. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend anyone at this salon for my nails. 10/10 for Michelle though :) read more

Don't come here. Unless you Look rich you won't be a priority. This place offers Very POOR SERVICE. I come in to my 1030 appointment today, as soon as I come in at the door the techs look at me from head to toe. After 15 mins I was seated. They soaked my foot and the water overflows. At 1103 I still wasn't assisted by anyone. The nail tech pick and choose from the door. The lady the comes in after me who was walk In was assisted first. What is the sense of making appointments if you don't have enough Nail techs? So I get up and leave. Nail tech judge people by the way they dressed, and they pick who they want to do first regardless of your appointment. I would like to warn people, they don't treat people fair here regardless if you have appointment. The techs talk at their native tongue and talk about you. This is how poor the service this nail salon offers. I attach my pictures for reference. The lady on the 3rd row was walk in and come after me, but was assisted in 10 mins. . I'm type of person that does my stuff on regular basis. But I just moved in to Fremont so I was looking for something closer. But you lost your business with me forever by the kind of treatment I received today. And never will I recommend this place with anyone. read more

Here's all the beautiful nails they've done before. I have more pictures in my phone but if you come in & want to come out looking amazing then this is the best spot for that! My husbands cousin Nikki & I love coming here to get our nails done every other week. Ann & Nancy did such an incredible job with both designs we wanted. Without hesitation they were on it & really did a great job, they took their time even though they were almost closed. Bless them for taking us in and making us feel beautiful for the next couple weeks. You really make us feel welcomed and we enjoy coming here not only because you do an amazing job everytime but everyone is so kind and good vibes. We'll be back soon! Thanks again! I don't get my nails done often, and the first time I came here was in April 2022. I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle. Now every time I need my nails done for a special occasion, I come back to Nails Please, and book with Michelle. Showed Helen an inspo pic and she nailed it! She made sure I loved it every step of the way. So happy with how it came out--thank you, Helen! Giving 4 stars only because it ended up being a bit pricey for builder gel. I didn't ask beforehand, so that's partly on me, but I do think pricing should always be shared upfront so it doesn't feel like numbers are being made up on the spot. read more

Decided to go here for acrylics based off a friends recommendation. I showed up with no appointment at about 4:30 pm but was still seen within 30 minutes, which, in my book is not terrible. It was definitely a full house with tons of people with appointments showing up every 15 minutes. It seemed like the ladies had a lot on their hands which was confirmed as they were apparently short two ladies today. I was paired with Michelle who was a woman on a mission frfr. While I admire how quickly she finished my service,I can't help but feel that it was a bit rushed, but my nails still ended up looking great! Not quite what I wanted as I wanted them to be very milky white, but I still like them a lot! Michelle had me in and out of the chair in about 45 minutes, which according to her is because I didn't get any designs. With your acrylic full set service they do not include cuticle care, so perhaps be sure to take care of that before arriving or ask (I'm assuming it may be an extra charge though). My total before tip was $58 ($5 off because I pointed out a fleck on my finger and she told me there was some specs of dust in the acrylic powder which she couldn't get off of my finger). The hygiene of the place could use a little work as I definitely agree they aren't changing or swapping out all their tools out with each new customer, which seems to be because of how quickly they turn over clients. read more

I've always been here from the past 2 years now! Not only I get the best service from here each time but they made sure to always advise the best for my nails. I've always tried to grow my natural nails long but I would end up damaging them by breaking them because of long extension or something or the other. Last few times I got gel X which helped my natural nails grow without much harm to the actually base. Yesterday I went in to get them removed and finally get acrylics on my natural nails as they finally grew out to my desired length. Ann made sure she was gentle and careful and neat while working with my real nails, made sure they were evenly filed and non of my own nails broke while she worked on them. I loved her work!
