I think found my new favorite salon in Hendersonville! In fact, I had no idea what I was missing until I came here today! I badly needed to fill my dip polish manicure but Victoria Nails was closed today so I found Nails on Main on Yelp. I had a wonderful experience here! I made an appointment and they were very accommodating when I called to tell them I was running a few minutes late. They were again accommodating when I politely and sheepishly asked them to maybe change the TV channel because the news was blasting depressing politics while I was trying to relax. They put on Shark Tank instead. Much better! Nobody else was watching the TV anyway. My nail technician (Eric, I believe) was extremely thorough with my manicure. He spent an hour and a half on the removal and reapplication of my dip polish. I commented multiple times at how impressed I was at how detailed his work is. He went back to feel my fingers multiple times to make sure they wouldn't bother me later when I got home. Those are the details that matter. Eric was gentle and professional throughout my entire visit. He also asked me if I wanted to add a manicure. This is IMPORTANT to me because some salons will only give you polish and send you to the front to pay. I always need the full manicure which includes cuticle cutting, massage, filing, etc. I really appreciated this and I have found that a lot of other salons are letting this really basic service become a thing of the past. My husband and I are on vacation and walked in. I wanted a mani pedi, and him just a pedi. They told us they could only do one pedi, and no mani. They said they didn't have time. But, a lady and a child, without appointments walked in and each got a pedicure 10 minutes after we walked in. I watched two employees just stand around waiting on so called appointments. This is something we do together every time we go on vacation. So he told me to go ahead and he had to wait for me. This was not close to closing time, we walked in at 4:15 and they close at 7:00. Very disappointed by the way we both treated. It's not right to select who you choose to do nails for. My pedicure was short and acceptable, but nothing great by no means. Got an eyebrow wax now I have burns around my eye. Not going back. Never had this happen before. Also the supplies did not seem very sanitary. I moved to Hendersonville at the end of October. Two weeks after the move, I had one of my acrylic nails break and needed fills. I called and got a same day appointment with Eric. He is the BEST! Eric was gentle and listened to what I said I wanted. He did a fantastic job. The price for fills and a repair was less than what I paid in Texas. And my husband had his first pedi cure that night with Victoria who listened to his concerns regarding being a diabetic and again was knowledgeable and gentle. Recently stopped here to get my nails done. At first I was impressed with the finished product of my nails, but as the days when on they got awful, FAST. I got a regular manicure, and like I said they did a pretty good job, but now 3 days later my nails are completely ruined. I don't expect regular manicures to last 2 weeks, but I did hope to get 4-5 good days. Overall the service was eh. The staff wasn't that pleasant to be around-but decent none the less. Very rude to me. Asked them nicely to fix there mistake! My nails started to lift and gel peeled off easily! Not happy with a $45 full set and gel that maybe lasted me three to four days. DISGUSTINGGGG!!!! Nail Tech went undercover and couldn't be more shocked!! I've HAD TO REPORT this establishment SEVERAL TIMES for VIOLATING DOZENS OF HEALTH CODES!!! NEVER GO TO THIS SALON, IF YOU HAVE ANY SENSE AT ALL!!! They use OLD, SUPER USED FILES, AS WELL AS ELETRIC FILES straight on your cuticles!!!! They don't wash their hands between clients, their service is TERRIBLE, their acrylic work is mediocre and rushed. Every finger turns out crooked and flat, with absolutely NO apex to be found, and the side walls are EXPOSING your NAFHRAL NAIL. The pedicure tubs are NEVER SANITIZED!! There were old NAIL CLIPPINGS IN THE TUB as well as CRUMB looking buildup along the inside rim. I could go on for DAYS. As a Nail tech myself, I am APALLED!!! read more

I went to North Carolina for vacation and stumbled upon this downtown nail shop. When we walked in, the place itself gave off a clean and tidy vibe. I liked how friendly the staff were. There were three of them and all of them were attentive and fun. I like smiles and giggles whilst my nail-do and the salon gave me what I needed. They offered complimentary drinks which included a bunch of sodas, teas, and coffee. Anyways, I got the premium pedicure for $40 which included hot stones and the paraffin wax. I WAS PLEASED. I went in to get a manicure and gel polish and wasn't too thrilled after paying $27 for it. I have no complaints for the general manicure, but when my nails were done there were small gaps on the sides that weren't painted on some nails which is one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to polishes and after I left I saw a huge ridge in one of my nails from the polish; along with the bits of polish on my cuticles it just doesn't look very clean unless you are looking from afar, not worth that price. I'm just hoping it was the person that did my nails. That being said the overall environment was very clean and friendly. I asked for a gel refill, she put acrylic which I didnt want. It made the nails very thick and uneven. There was acrylic stuck under the nail and cotton swab pieces stuck to the nail when she finished it, and she just said OK you're done. Nothing was done to my cuticles and no lotion was applied at any point. I went to go wash off all the crust and explained that I was unhappy with the quality of service completed. It fell on deaf, uninterested ears. It is the sloppiest looking manicure I've ever gotten. To boot, instead of charging me $25 for the gel fill I was charged $35. After voicing my dissatisfaction and being ignored I still tipped, but only $4. Instead of saying "thank you for the tip, was there something you were not satisfied with?" the woman said, instead "she gave four!" They have no self awareness or desire to understand why they continue to receive poor reviews. Apparently it is always the customer's fault here.
