Loved this place! She did exactly what I asked for and was kind. I had an appointment and the wait was kind of annoying since there was only two workers but overall very nice, and calm place

My mom and I came here for the first time and they did amazing!! We have tried so many different nail salons and this was by far the best! They took their time with every detail. Awesome place!

Nails On 42nd is a nice clean, well maintained salon.

A 45 minute wait with my feet soaking is not "walk ins welcome", it is "you should make an appt". The finished job was good but she forgot to lotion massage one of my legs. They were very busy and needed more help. Good place, clean, but customer service lacking.

My nails after I put socks on 3 hours after they were "dry"

I'm giving this place two star for a few reasons first of all I asked for coffin shape. The nail tech cut my nails wayyyyy shorter than what I asked for and the shape is more square not coffin really at all. I come from out of town and the work here is very mediocre supposedly this place is supposed to be so great but the work is not! Soooo rushed, As seen in picture attached my nails are not even straight, I was told I'm way too picky when politely asking her to straighten them out. They are very thick and look hideous, I'm truly disappointed in the poor quality work I received. I also got a pedicure, the $45 one. She rushed through it filed each foot for about 2 seconds merely swiping over my feet. Applying scrub as fast as she could for about 10 seconds per leg, lotion for about 30 seconds each leg, The parafin was so rushed it was still runny and liquid when she took it off my feet, the entire pedicure was maybe 20/25 mins. So unacceptable. I get pedicures for maintenance and pampering. When I asked to please take care of my ingrown toenail my tech got a attitude started talking about me to her coworker. Crazy what you find out is being said when using a translating app...... same goes for my nails when requesting them to my liking. I got angry responses and once again was talked about and insulted me, funny thing is they had no idea I had translating app on. I'm confused on why I can't have things the way I prefer them. I am paying for this service they are about rushing and making money than the experience which is sad. It is decorated so nice and seems like a should be great spot. Rushed and mediocre work. Don't waste your money. I've gone to the cheap places around town and received better service and quality work. After letting my toes dry in the sandals they put on you for 3 hours, I decided to put my socks on and my polish had still not set. Stick to my socks after well over 3 hours really?!!! The lady was too busy rushing my pedi she forgot to use remover on my nail bed after the lotion which if not removed off nails will never let your nails harden and Dry. I came In with a large group we spent over $600 here. Honestly how is this ok?!

I've been going here for many years and highly recommend them. The salon is high quality and they've always done professional work.

Best nail salon in Cedar Rapids! This is the only place I'll get my nails done. Philip and his team are great!

LV Nails & Spa - Nothing there my own nail, no polish over it and very uneven. I would have made them do it over but leaving on plane.

I love this place! I'm always a little leery with new nail places because you never know what…read moreyou're going to walk into. LV Nails is brand new!! Beautiful location, experience workers, great amenities and comparable prices. They take appointments and have enough space (and workers) to accommodate an influx of people! I personally love Quynh, she's done my dip nails a few times now, she's quick but precise, gives great input on colors and suggested services. And my nails always Wloo top notchToday I got a Milk and Honey pedicure (worth the extra $10) and I had the dip done in my nails. Pedicure was clean, quick but not rushed and concise. They have a HUGE color selection (3 racks of regular polish, 3 spin things of dip and a bunch of shellac as well) they even have matching sets of regular polish for your toes and shellac/dip for your finger. Love that! I'll be back again and again. They also have loyalty punch cards do get yourself one of those! ;)

After wearing my nails long for months without having to trim them, I managed to rip two nails…read morewithin a few days of each other. I wanted to keep wearing my nails long since they were still strong, so I figured I'd try a dip manicure thinking the acrylic would support my nails despite the tear. I've been told my nails are naturally pretty thick, which would explain why in the past I thought regular acrylic sets looked so clunky on my hands. I came to my appointment hoping a better quality salon and several years of nail technology would lean in my favor for a better experience... in reality? Meh. I've now had three dip manis from three different nail techs at LV and none of them seemed worth the price and hassle. After an hour and roughly $70, I walked away each time feeling less than pampered as if they didn't really care what my nails looked like at all - particularly the last set where there were visible bubbles and bumps. I literally had to file my own nails when I got home because there were pointy globs of acrylic and the tips of my nails were rough and snagging. It doesn't make a difference to try to advocate for what you're looking for as far as shape, length, or general concerns. During the second visit, I once again alerted the tech about my broken nails and she was so rough on my hands that she broke one of the nails all the way off and left it completely jagged under the fake tip. I got stuck in this cycle because I had some photo-heavy events and wanted to try to have presentable nails. I was planning to go one last time just so they could remove this set and clean up my natural nails so I can do them myself, but I think I'd rather try somewhere else. Ultimately, this is why I really don't bother with nail shops and will be getting my own kit for the rare occasion I need a dip mani over regular polish.

Boujee Nails - What I asked for (vs) What I got - She did her best, but the tiny details were tricky. Turned out cute though!

Paid $100 and can't wait to cover it up…read more First time in. First pedicure in years. Kinda new to CR. Read a few reviews and felt semi-positive to try it out. Upon entering they were quick to greet me and give me a time frame for the wait. After my short wait, they ushered me to the pedicure bowls. The nail tech gives me binders of colors to choose from. I looked through them while they prepped. I pointed to which pedicure I wanted and which color, specifically stating I ONLY want the tips done like a French just a different color. They asked me if I wanted gel or regular. I said gel, and they got the menu out and pointed that it would be an additional $20. I told them that was fine. They said ok and took the little binders. I tried to chat throughout the pedicure but they were less than interested, or just didn't understand me due to a language barrier. The pedicure itself was fabulous. The massage, great. I was able to relax for a few minutes and closed my eyes for a bit. I opened my eyes and looked down, 4 toes in, and they painted the whole toenails. I didn't want to stop them since they were half done. A nice woman sat next to me and made a comment about the color I chose, which further made me anxious about the way they were painted. I guess I'll keep these toes covered until I can find somewhere else. I'd go back if the nail techs understood my first language, just so we could be clear on what I wanted since it wasn't a very hard ask. This would have been a 5 star rating had the toes been polished the way I asked; other than that, it was good.
