The inside décor was pleasant, it was quite neutral although some of the posters on the wall looked dated and slightly off putting. There were some nail varnishes and similar products available for sale but I always feel they can be over priced in salons so I didn't purchase any. The woman who was doing my nails wasn't overly chatty but the service was quick and my nails looked better than ever.

It's right down at the end, close to the Children's Hospital and Boston Tea Party. It's quite small inside. There's seating in front of you as you enter and there are three tables where you can get your nails done on the left hand side. They also do waxing (cannot comment much more on that) which they do at the back of the shop behind a curtain. There's also a hairdressers downstairs. I went on a Friday afternoon around 3.30pm and they managed to fit me in immediately. It got busy around 4.30pm and a queue did start to form. The gentleman that did my nails, prepped them very well. It doesn't look like I had infills which can be the case sometimes as the nail starts to grow. However, I had a replacement nail put on and its wonky. I didn't notice at the time but I'd be concerned if I was getting a full set here. That's not where the bad news stops. The nail varnish. I knew something was going to go wrong when the gentleman didn't understand that I just wanted the tips of my nails painted. My nails are rather long and he initially put just only about 5mm of varnish on. I had to ask for more twice. Most people when they do the tips, paint the nail then 'tidy it up' with nail varnish remover and a brush. That did not happen here. I hate being mean to people but I was not happy at all. The varnish was painted on in a straight line, it was lumpy and it was so thick at one point I thought there was more nail varnish on than acrylic! The cost for this was £16 which is about right, if not a little cheaper than some other places, but I was very unhappy with the varnish and my wonky nail, even though the prep was very good. This could be down to who served me but it's put me off for life.

Even though I rang at half five on a Friday night to book an appointment, Beena fit me in immediately and I ran straight over. Located within TipTop Photography on the corner of Warstone Lane and Spencer Street, you ascend up a non-descript staircase and into Beena's neutrally designed studio. Beena was incredibly welcoming and the addition of Radio 2 in the background made me feel very relaxed. She asked me what my normal routine was for my eyebrows, and considering I don't normally do anything, this bit of the conversation was rather short! Beena then talked me through what she was going to do and then began to tweeze and thread. I'd not really had threading done before, so it took a bit of getting used to, but I managed it! The whole process took about ten minutes and afterwards I was thoroughly impressed, I have two eyebrows and they are perfectly shaped! I can't thank Vicky enough for this recommendation and considering Beena is located less than 2 minutes from my house, I'll be back!

Then I had to put on some very attractive paper pants before the lady started to wrap me up using lots of bandages that had been soaked in what can only be described as a clay like substance. They were left on for around 60 minutes whilst I was left to lay on the bed and relax. Afterwards I was measured again and I had lost a combined total of 5 inches from different parts of my body. They do acrylics, gel, manicures, pedicures, tooth diamonds amongst other things. I've only every had infills/full sets of acrylics. The staff work quickly and efficiently. I've never been disappointed in the results. There's a large variety of colours of nail varnish to suit everyones taste. Prices are reasonable and what you would expect to pay - £25-30 for full sets and £18-22 for infills. They do charge extra if you want designs. It is cash only so make sure you get cash before you go in.

The nails are hit and miss and they are so rude especially Lee and this one other woman who has broken English and is small and peitite. Today I came back in the shop because a nail had came off 5 days after I had just got them done, not to mention it has gone green!!!! Anyway I said this but my main concern for now was getting the nail on for New Years then I'd have a break from acrylics, never have I ever had my nail go green from acrylics, I have been getting my acrylics for 4 years now with breaks in between (my local is in redditch who are great but as mentioned earlier since summer I've had them done here) the woman and lee were so rude they said my nail was already like that and the woman was being rude giving dirty looks, insisting I am lying and saying things in her language! I said I am not here to dispute whether My nail was like this before which I know for a fact it was not, are you going to fix my nail? They said yes but we have to charge you. 4 pounds for one nail that came off after 5 days of you doing them!!! I am so so disgusted and I will never return to the shop, every time I go into the shop I am already anxious as I know they are rude if I ask for something particular ( which is stupid when I'm the one paying ). This experience has topped it off! No customer service, no respect for customers! And god knows what they are putting in their acrylic.
