They take walk-ins every day but I always book an appt because I like to plan my day around my errands. I get a gel manicure on an acrylic set filled two weeks, getting new sets as needed for growth. Phillip has never once hurt me or messed up a nail! He's actually the only person I trust to give me a pedicure and he is very gentle with my ingrown toenails. I could go on for hours about this place, I recommend it to all of my friends! I'm really torn writing this because the staff is very pleasant, but I had a physically painful…read moreexperience that has me genuinely worried. I came in as a walk-in for a basic pedicure and was paired with Linda. I was very explicit in asking her not to cut or file my nails down to the "nub," and while she nodded and seemed to understand, she did the exact opposite. Beyond the length, she clipped away at my cuticles for so long that they are now extremely raw, partially bleeding, and so sore that I can't even stand in the shower without stinging pain. My biggest concern now is the risk of infection given how deep she clipped into the skin. While Linda was very nice, she didn't follow my simple instructions, and I left with damaged, vulnerable skin instead of a relaxing service. I like the atmosphere here, but the lack of care for my physical comfort was a major issue.

I have been to a lot of nail salons, and none were this welcoming. The staff is also highly professional. They soaked off my dip nails expertly. It did not take the usual grinding, rubbing, and wait time that I have experienced in other salons. My nails also looked healthy afterwards (which never happens to me with dip). Second, My nail tech listened to exactly what I wanted and pointed me to a color he had specifically mixed. Even my DAD told me that my nails had never looked so good. I have to agree.

The nice people who work there offer a very wide range of nail art options that are beautiful to receive and see. City Nails also offers facial waxing services performed by the kindest little lady. Personally, I think the prices are reasonable given the amazing things they can do for you, which usually causes most people to feel better about themselves - it's a splurge that is well worth the money. Also, every time I've been to the shop, the atmosphere has been very relaxing. Finally, walk-ins are always welcome even though I usually call to schedule an appointment.
