Lisa used the IBX Repair and Strengthening system on my nails and also used the Boost Gel as a natural overlay. She told me that it helps to repair the nail from the inside, not just on the top (in the past I have gotten the "Healthy Nail" treatment at another salon and it made my nails worse when it was time to come off). This is different than a regular gel manicure or the putting acrylic over natural nails to strengthen them- the clear overlay help nourish the natural nails instead of drying them out. Lisa really took her time with my nails and paid attention to my cuticles, which I really appreciated since mine grow so quickly. She also made sure that all of the edges of my nails were super smooth since I told her that any sharp edge on my nails makes me want to pick at them. I have had them for about a week and a half now and they are still going strong, even after constant hand-washing, typing and filing at work. Yay! I will be returning in a couple of weeks for a fill and hope to see that my nails are still healthy underneath. So far, so good!
