UPDATE:
Thank you sooooo much to the owners. After seeing my review they called me last night and we had a great conversation. I was given a refund AND they brought me in early this morning to do my nails before the shop opened. I was greeted with a big hug and Starbucks. We had such great conversation, laughs, shared life stories and my nails came out so beautiful. She really took the time and care to make sure everything came out the best. I am so grateful for the generosity I was shown. By the end of my visit today I didn't want to take the refund but they both insisted. THIS IS HOW YOU DO BUSINESS!!!! I would be happy to return, now that I know who to sit with :) Thank you both so much. I almost cried again, but HAPPY TEARS!!
I'm in town for work and my usual nail tech here closed for a family emergency and I needed to get my nails done for the holidays and my company Christmas party that I'm flying straight to in California when I leave Michigan. I found this salon after looking in Google and Yelp, when I came in it was a 2.5 hour wait so l left and came back. The front desk/receptionist was welcoming and polite enough. I asked to have a nail tech that was good with art and designs and she said okay. The woman who did my pedicure was amazing. I showed her 2 inspiration pictures I had saved and even brought my own pearls & decals just incase. She was very excited and giddy with me. Mia executed my pedicure beautifully!! I was nervous but she really pulled through. I was so happy. When it came time for my nails, I asked for a full set and manicure. When I sat with the male nail tech he began drilling my nails so I told him for a second time, oh they are just press ons. From there he tried to pull the press ons off of my hand. Once he got to the finger next to my pinky, it was very painful. I pulled my hand back and in a joking yet stern manner " please don't hurt me. I want a manicure so I am okay to soak" He was too into his soccer game that he was trying to watch while doing my nails. Once he removed all of my press ons by tearing them off, he drilled off the glue and went straight into the tips. After applying 1, I told him, I want a manicure with my full set. He said I KNOW, I said okay, usually my manicure is before my tips, but okay. Then he said ARE YOU OKAY?! Do you need somebody else? I said I'm fine, just tell me what you are doing. From there he was even more aggressive and rough. I put on my music and didn't make anymore objections. He was so rough in filing my nails after the acrylic that when he got to my thumb he filed deeper and deeper into my skin and I was on the way to bleeding. At that point I said, I am hurt, I am in pain, I do not think you want to do my nails. From there the front desk put me with someone else but they forced another customer to move then she had more clients coming in. After crying at the front seat, feeling humiliated and in pain I let Nancy complete my shape and left without no color and design. From there I was offered a 20% discount. I never raised my voice, caused a scene or used foul language. This really made me sad. read more
