I was visiting from out of town and had limited time in the area so I appreciated them accommodating me on short notice. The technician who started my service was very kind, but she mentioned a few times that she wasn't feeling well. Out of concern, I told her she could skip the polish and stop early. Later, I regretted that decision and called back to see if I could return to have the polish applied. The receptionist was not particularly friendly, but eventually agreed I could come back the next day, Sunday. When I returned, the overall vibe was a bit off. The receptionist and the new technician seemed cold, and it felt like there may have been some internal discussion about the situation. Nonetheless, the service was completed. Unfortunately, by today, Monday (7/14), the polish on one of my toenails has already chipped, which is frustrating so soon after the appointment. When I used to live in Miami Lakes and when I come to visit, I typically go to the other location by Veterans Park and see Magalys, and I've always had great experiences with her. They were unfortunately booked for the rest of the weekend. While I've had consistently positive experiences at their other location, this visit was disappointing by comparison.

Blooming Nail & Spa was okay and I decided to make an appointment. Eric answered the phone and was super nice and easy to talk to. I went in and was able to start right away! Eric did my tip and dip and he was amazing! He was fast and my nails came out beautifully. I also had a regular pedicure with Flor, she was also very gentle and wonderful. So I needed to make an emergency appointment for a dip powder mani/regular pedi because my normal…read morenail salon was booked. I went to this place because it was a convenient location for me & they had an opening. I absolutely regret it. In less than 24 hours almost all my nails started cracking. And I knew it was going to happen because the nail tech, mayvis, did not cure the dip powder correctly. Typically my normal nail tech cures the dip powder with a clear gel coat and then dries my nails under the UV light. Mayvis only used the dip powder then dried my nails under a regular fan. I'm extremely disappointed because normally my dip powder manicure lasts 3 weeks, now I have to spend another $75 to get it redone by an actual professional

I had my nails done by Margarita. I believe she owns the shop. Pros: My nails were shaped nicely. Cons: Terrible customer service (inconsiderate and arrogant), she takes an excessively long time to do nails, high prices For more details on the cons that led to my 1-star experience here, continue reading. 1) Margarita informed me that she would be 10 mins late due to a family emergency. She ultimately came an hour late. I tried to be understanding because of her situation although I did feel that she could've sent me a quick text to tell me she'd be later than expected. I had a doctor's appointment later on so I would've rescheduled. 2)She told me that I needed a new set but I let her know that I didn't have time because I had a doctor's appointment at 4pm in Broward. She said okay. I was looking at something on my phone then I looked up to see her removing my acrylics after I had explicitly stated that I didn't have time for a new set. She defends her defiance by telling me that she had to remove them because "It's a liability" for her. I'm pretty sure that's something she should've discussed with me prior to the removal. 3)She took 2 1/2 hours to do my hands. I didn't get any fancy designs or rhinestones, just a holo polish. 4)She sent me to soak for my pedicure then told me that she had to leave "to get her lunch before the restaurant closes." She didn't ask me if that was okay, she just left me there soaking for 20mins. Completely inconsiderate of my time, especially after I told her I had an appointment and after the fact that she came an hour late. I ended up having to reschedule my appointment. 5)She describes what she sees on my feet and tells me that I have an infection. I tell her not to worry, it's just my eczema. She asks me where I have eczema and I tell her everywhere. She continues to tell me that i'm wrong, she learned about this in nail tech school, and that I need to see a dermatologist. I have seen a dermatologist. That's how I know I have eczema. I decided not to argue with her about my skin condition that i've lived with since i was a baby because clearly she knew more than the doctors who diagnosed and treat me. 6)Ultimately, I spent 5hours here. 12-5pm. 1-5pm was the time she took doing my nails (since she came an hour late). I have never spent this much time at a nail salon. Especially not for a mediocre nail job. 7)She charged me $5 for each nail that she removed(without my permission). My bill came up to $95.
