Jolene is A PRO!!!!!! I seriously am so thankful that I found her. She is the most incredible nail artist, and it is always so much fun to have an appointment with her, because she is also great to talk to. I have been seeing Jolene for about a year, and every time, I have left blown away by my incredible nails. People always ask me about my nails, and look forward to see the amazing art and fun designs on them. Jolene uses the best products out there, and that paired with her master skills means that my gel nails last 4-5 weeks without ever chipping. I highly recommend her to all of my friends and family - especially if you are tired of being frustrated by inconsistency at your regular nail shop. So much love for Jolene!!!!
I really wanted to like Jolene, I really do. People on Yelp gave her 4 stars. When I called she claims she uses "Japanese" products thats high quality that will last longer but that's NOT what I witnessed. I came in to get a fill on "hard gel" nails. The cost was $65, while other places charge around $35. Hard gel is similar to acyclic, the procedure is the same. File the nail, put on anti-fungal, shaping the nails and paint. Jolene, filed my nails, Did Not put the anti-fungal on my nails. Apply Gelish gel base (NOT a Japanese Brand), sculpture my nails with IBD gel (NOT a Japanese Brand). However the top coat "Vetro" was the only thing she used that was a Japanese brand. Vetro as a top coat only helps keeps the shine and from discoloration. After an hour, My nails are Uneven, Sharp and Ruff around the edges. Update: In responses to Jolene's comment. IF I did come in with a botch job as you claimed (Which I didn't. The sides of my nails was filed in due to what's called "Fan Nails", shouldn't my nails be better looking when you were done with my nails? You had all the tools and experience to fix it. No? Yet, I left with uneven nails all around with sharp edges. Which I had to re-file once I got home. Look at the picture for yourself... again. Proof is in the picture. I asked you to shorten the length and that what I got. That's your doing. I called twice over the phone and both times you stated the reason why you charge so much is because, you use Japanese Brand products, "that's why it last longer and doesn't lift". And now you say you can use ALL Japanese brand but will have to charge accordingly!?!?! So..... $65 for one coat of nail polish?? Let's say I did come back, I won't but let's pretend I did, what's my total? $195? One layer each of base coat, color and top coat = 3x65=$195 lol Yeah.No.Thanks. I'll stick to the cheaper places that charges $35. For that price I can get a fill and a fresh color every week.
Simply the best. The best artwork, very high quality polish, any and all nail embellishments you can think of, and to top it off she's the best human. I look forward to my bi-weekly appointments. It feels like visiting a friend who also knows how to paint nails. I'm so spoiled by the incredible artwork that I don't think I could go back to solid nails ever again.

I was trying so many nail artists and salons for the past couple of years and their techniques would either ruin my nails or the gel polish would peel. But with Jolene, my nails last all the way til my next appointment. Her nail art skills are some of the best I've seen. If I bring a design inspiration in, she does it perfectly. Lately I just let her do her thing because I trust her. Some stuff you just can't find on Pinterest. The paraffin waxes, leg massages, and masks are sooo soothing too. My favorite is the charcoal mask. I love that she does gel pedicures too because some salons don't offer that service. Those last like 5-6 weeks and still don't chip. They actually helped protect my toenails from chipping from tight boots! I drive from Marina Del Rey every couple weeks just to see her! She's definitely the best in the area

Jolene is meticulous and takes her time to make sure that your nails always come out flawless. She is extremely skilled and nail art and can replicate pretty much any inspiration photo you bring in. She's also very creative and can make suggestions for you. Usually I come in with a vague idea of what I want and a color palette and Jolene always has the best suggestions for me! Since I met Jolene I haven't let anyone else touch my nails! Her gel application lasts and lasts and if my nails didn't grow out so fast I swear they would never chip. I usually go every 2 or 3 weeks. Her new shop is super cute! It's located inside the Platino Salon complex. There's a receptionist inside so you can just go in and ask for her and the receptionist will show you to Jolene's room! Jolene picked out some amazing products to carry in her new shop. She has the latest colors for OPI and Presto gel polish. She also mixes some pretty fantastic pedicures. I love the cucumber one, and I'm excited to try the charcoal and the pina colada next time!
Yes, yes, yes! Jo is a nail goddess who's been hooking me up with super cute, lasting nails! She is super creative and always works her magic. If your indecisive with picking polish or art, she always knows what to do! Nails come out flawless . So excited for her to branch of on her own to a spot located in the Platino Salon her space is cute and gives you more of a one on one style mani pedi. Intimate in a good way where you have a little more privacy which I enjoy. If you're in the OC and want quality nails, she is the nail guru you need to pay a visit too. Stop reading and make an appointment already! You're nails will thank you! I promise!

Jo has been doing my nails for over 2 years now and has set the bar super high. No one else can compare to the perfect acrylic sets that she does. Not only are her full sets amazing, but she can also do any type of nail art you can think of and is very creative. I am very picky about my nails and I wouldn't trust anyone else to do them. Jo is the best and does the best work!

The salon is very clean and Jolene and her staff make you feel special as soon as you walk in. I would never go anywhere else for my nails. I highly recommend going to her.

I was recommended to Jolene right before my wedding and I've stuck with her ever since! She is a master at her craft and can do anything you see on Pinterest! My manicures never chip and never stain. I am just thrilled that after a full day of doing hair (without gloves) my manicures still look fresh by the end of the day. I get so many compliments on my nail artwork all the time. Jolene is punctual, detailed, and gets you out in a timely manner. She's a great person and I love catching up with her during our appointments. Jolene aka Jojo is located in the Platino Salon & Suites. Her suite is the first one just behind the reception desk. Her and Nikki run the show there, and you'll feel like you're just hanging out with your friends! I've been getting acrylics on and off for almost a decade now and have become super picky about where I go. I found Jojo through Yelp - thank goodness - and have been going to her for the past few months. She is a perfectionist and always nails my acrylic set - pun intended. She's super talented with nail art but can slay a nude set just as well. The shapes are always flawless and she uses high quality products. I go in for a fill every 3 weeks and typically have no lift or chipping! It's super convenient to book with her, and you receive electronic confirmations and reminders. I also received a discounted rate on my first visit, which was nice. read more

I love the quiet surroundings, undivided attention I get from Nikki at Jolene's salon. The products and the customer service are fantastic. The scrubs, masks, parafin wax and hot towels...amazing. Always an amazing experience visiting these ladies. My hands and feet have never looked better. I always thought that getting acrylics and gel nail polish ruined your real nails but that's not true. It's who does them and the products they use and Jojo uses those great products and it shows. Wish I could give you 10 stars!!! read more
