She then tries to just file down my nails but I informed her yet again I wanted shorter. I also had to inform her several times on the shape of what I wanted. Finally got the shape and length down. I wanted a regular manicure. She pulls out the grinder and I told her I am not doing gel polish. It damages my nails way too much. I prefer regular polish and yes I know it doesn't last as long. She tells me she can't do the simple design of stripes on one nail because I was not doing gel. Doesn't make sense to me why she couldn't. I ended up getting the two colors on different nails. Just really wish nail techs would listen to what the customer wants and not be so pushy to do something that they don't want. Over the years this is why I have opted to not go get my nails done regularly.

Since this was decided overnight we didn't give them any warning. But they took it in stride. There were three customers there when 5 of us arrived between 9-9:30. There were four girlies getting pedicures, one set of acrylic nails and one gel manicure. We all walked out the door around 11:30am. I think this is spectacular timing which included a few other customers entering for services who weren't turned away and thrown right into the rotation. Personally I got my gel off and regular nail polish on my nails. A week later and they are still looking good. No chips! Everything I encountered was clean and sanitary. They also lent us a cart so we could set out some breakfast treats for our little party. I recommend this gem of a business and maybe we will give them a heads up next time!

It's a really small salon so appointments are probably recommended, but it wasn't busy when we went in- so walk-ins are probably OK too. There is a free parking lot out front, making it super convenient! The pedicure was actually pretty quick, I think we were in and out in around 30 minutes. There were just a few things that made it more of an OK experience for me. First thing is that they have a sign to "request to see the price menu". It's not like the pedicure was extremely expensive or anything, I just think that folks should be able to know beforehand what the service they are receiving costs. The other thing is that they had asked multiple times if we wanted to get manicures. I didn't mind the first time, but after declining multiple times it got awkward.

For my second visit, the experience was just as great. I checked in and they started working on my nails as soon as I arrived. Both times, Judy has been excellent. She took the time to explain what would be best for my nails since I wanted to take a break from acrylics. The rest of the staff is also super friendly and welcoming. The salon has such a calm and peaceful atmosphere, and they never make you feel uncomfortable like some other nail salons where it feels like they're talking about you.
