For someone who has struggled with being a life-long nail biter, it's really important to me to make sure everything feels smooth so I am less likely to pick at my nails or try to "fix" them myself. It is so important for my self esteem that hands look nice. That being said, she never has scolded me or lectured me about my nails when I come in for a fill or fix. She simply leaves me feeling refreshed because my hands look good! She's very fast also (fill in less than 45 mins)! Keep in mind, she books up quickly. ***I've NEVER had any infections from going to this salon, so I'm not sure what other reviews are talking about. In fact, she's very knowledgeable. She has refused to do things requested that she felt would jeopardize the health of my nails, offering alternative healthy solutions.

I really appreciate that everything she uses is single-use and sanitary. She even gave me the nail file afterward because she uses a brand-new one for every client, which made me feel very confident about cleanliness and hygiene. I understand it's probably due to the location, so I typically drive down to Chula Vista to get my nails done because the prices are much more reasonable and I leave MUCH happier. Two...the quality of service is low. I don't really need a super friendly/talkative nail tech, but the woman who did my gel mani on 6/19 felt like she was just going through the motions. Flashback to the first time I went there, I asked the nail tech for a certain design (picture attached...like a double-lined French tip) and she said she couldn't do it. I was disappointed after seeing all the other designs pictured on yelp, but whatever...that's fine, I went with a regular French tip. But then she went on to talk about how she loooooves doing nails and has been doing them for over 20 years. But she couldn't add a line to my mani???? Idk I was still trying to give her the benefit of doubt and maybe it's not as simple as it looks. Fast forward to this most recent visit on 6/19....$100 plus tip for a gel mani and pedi. *eye roll* but again...fine, I didn't want to drive down to Chula Vista, and I was only getting a solid color so I shouldn't have any problems. Less than 2 weeks later, and my gel is chipped. Sure I could've bumped a finger and got one chip somewhere somehow, but 3 nails had chipped by 6/29. I work from home, so I don't really do anything that would cause chips to happen so soon. If I'm paying over $100, i expect my nails to last AT LEAST 2 weeks...I feel like that's fair. In the pictures, some of my nails look much worse because I peeled them...but because I washed my hair and noticed the gel was lifting around the edges. Girlies...yall know the feeling when your hair gets caught in your nails Also, none of the gel on my toes have chipped...so kudos to the nail tech that did my pedi! Been debating going back to get them fixed, but honestly don't care to return to walk out unhappy again. Most importantly, her nails LAST. I recently went away for five weeks, and my set looked amazing the entire time. For the first time ever, I wasn't getting my nails redone because they chipped or lifted--I was getting them redone because I'd completely grown them out. No matter what design, color combination, or random inspiration photo I bring her, she executes it flawlessly every single time. I've attached a few photos of some of the sets she's done for me over the past year because her work really speaks for itself. One thing that always impresses me is how healthy my natural nails have stayed. These are my real nails, and I only get gel manicures, so I can't personally speak to acrylics or some of the other nail services they offer. What I can say is that my nails consistently look amazing, last well, and receive compliments all the time. I've also had pedicures here and they've always done a great job. I don't have one specific technician I regularly see for those, but I've never had a bad experience
