Terrible customer service!! I completely understand. It's the holiday season and wait times will be longer. However, it's never okay to take someone who came 30 minutes after your customer with no appointment before them. When the owner was confronted all they wanted to say was oh I'm sorry no discount though so oh I'm sorry but I will not be returning. The male owner is very rude and does terrible job on nails. I usually go to them when ever I need my nails done, for the past several years. They used to be fabulous. The last time I got a pedicure and nails. During the nails, they skipped on my cuticles and hand massage, but they were busy. This time, I just got a manicure and pedicure, no nails. I specifically mentioned the cuticles and massage, so the cuticles were good, but the hand massage was less than 30 seconds. I counted. Because I go barefoot, my heels are usually bad, but when I leave they're typically good. I've never had them skimp on that before. I purchased the #2, which is 1 above the basic, and includes a sugar scrub. The lady didn't use the callous cream on the heels nor did she completely scrub them, which is what takes care of the roughness. My sugar scrub was concentrated on only the tops of my shins, rather than all over. When she got to the lotion, she rubbed a few times around my legs and on my feet a couple of times and said thank you. You could literally still see the lotion on my legs. My heels are still rough. I made a show of looking at them while still in the chair, as well as when I got up front to pay, waiting on the guest in front of me. No one met my eye and both women who worked on me shuffled quickly past. If I'm able to add pictures, I will. It totaled 89.00 when I paid, plus tip. I won't be returning there. ​I expect a bare minimum, and that wasn't it. They weren't busy. read more

I realized just how old school I have been opting for a simple acrylic with french painted. Problem is, after I started getting them done in Atlanta with the different way they do nails here my nails started looking AWFUL at best. I am so happy I found this shop. I was going to go to another salon who had better reviews but they were too busy so they couldnt take me. When I walked in there were four customers ahead of me but it didnt take them long to get to me. As I waited, Mr. Tony asked me what I was getting and I explained my dilemma asking what other options are there to help avoid what I have been experiencing. He was so helpful and was definitely informed of a number of options. I opted for the full acrylic (pink/white so the whites were not painted on). It took a long time to finish but Tony took his time to sculpt them. Miss Kim finished the set by shaping, buffing, etc. She has a lot of attention to detail and patience. Poor lady stayed half an hour after closing to be sure she made them perfectly and the shape I wanted. While I was there I saw advertisements for dip powder that is suppose to be natural so once my nails grow back out I think I will try that but until then I am for sure coming here! Unfortunately I took away one star because when I sat down there was powdery stuff and polish everywhere it looked like all the tools may not have been cleaned. As a disclaimer I am fully aware of my germophobia/OCD so others may not freak out as much about that. Lastly, the prices are average. I paid $50 (plus a tip of course) when I paid nearly as much elsewhere for the regular acrylic french. read more

I have been going to Nail 1st in the Publix shopping center in Douglasville. Ga for several years now. I only use Kim who is the owner with her husband. She does a great job. Many years ago I was a nail artist; doing sculptured, silk wraps,manicures and pedicures etc. I must say this. The quality has changed. It took us an hour to do sculptured nails. They never lifted and lasted more than 2 weeks ; usually 3 or longer. Of course this was 30 years ago. We also charged $50 for a full set and $25 for refills. The Asians took over the nail business. They only take 30 minutes to do sculptured . So in my opinion the quality has gone down. Be that as it may Kim does the best job I have seen. She's also very kind and considerate. Services requested were pedicures and a fill-in. Their description of pedicures explain that dead skin and callus' will be removed. I asked the store mgr for the price of a fill-in, he informed of one price but he charged double. He claimed the fill-in price is different for long nails. I explained upon arrival, I asked how much a fill-in was and he didn't specify 2 different amounts for long or short, he only told me one amount then charged more. I advised my pedicure was terrible, nails uneven and I still had dead skin on my feet. The lady did not scrub my feet nor properly fulfill the services expected. I showed him my feet and the dead skin still on it and he didn't care. The services were not as described. read more

Update: had to cut the tip off 2 nails that were loose because every time the tip bumped up against something it was pulling up on my nail bed and causing it to get real sore. Come to find out one of the nails is glued to my skin. It had to wait to get home to try to cut it away but eventually it got caught on my clothing and pretty much ripped up my skin and caused it to bleed. There's still a little piece of acrylic stuck to my skin that I don't want to pull away and further cause my finger to bleed. It also hurts like crap when I try to pull it off. I guess I'll just have to wait till the skins starts to heal n hopefully the piece of acrylic will come of with the dead skin. I definitely will not be visiting this place again. Was pleased at first but a few days later the acrylic on several nails are coming loose and the polish is already starting to chip away. read more

This place was okay. I am visiting from out of town and am used to going to my same place, always. I visited this place based on the reviews it got on yelp and from the get-go I was not happy. First it looks nothing like the pictures that have been posted on here. It's very small with maybe 6 mani and 6 pedi stations, but they are horribly understaffed and don't use all of the stations that they have. I had to wait an hour before being seen and the entire time I was there they had 2-3 people waiting to be seen. My mani-pedi was okay. I paid extra for a special pedicure and the woman nearly rubbed my skin to the bone. I am overall pretty happy though with how my nails look and it was cheap too. Don't come here expecting anything spectacular, just another hole-in-the-wall nail place. read more

I tried to give her the benefit of doubt. But she just continued to do bad work. When I told her I wasn't pleased she would just say, "Sorry ma'am ". We have been going here for a couple of years. Very nice people and excited for their new space!!! They did a awesome job with expanding and use of the space. Back in November we went to another salon with my daughter in-law and wedding party the night before their wedding. My daughter got acrylic nails and within a week they were popping off. We tried a couple of times with them with replacements and fill-ins but they never lasted more than 2 weeks on her. I got the acrylic also and they lasted about 2 months and I only need a fill-in. They told me that my daughter must have some oil in her nails. We went to Nails 1st and they put acrylic on and they last a month and just needed fill-ins! I think the other place just didn't use enough glue or something. And the other places prices were about $10 more! Will stay with Nails 1st!!!!!! read more

I have given them a try 3 weeks straight. The gel nail will not stay on. Each time they try and blame me. I have been getting gel nails for yeas and they last 2-3 weeks. One week I went and got them done the next day one was peeling off. This set last one week. Went back one week later and began to chip. Went a third time and a week later they chipped again. I told them that it was not lasting and she was trying to blame me and was getting loud with me. I told her I could not afford to come here weekly for gel polish. I will not be returning. Stay away.
