The interior of the place is very enticing with its sea green and tan tones. The receptionist and the nail technicians were professional and polite. The atmosphere was generally relaxing with no loud music blaring through the speakers. Customers also get to sit on soft, low couches which if you're not careful, may lead you to fall asleep during the massage part of the service. :) Nail-A-Holics also offers a vast selection of nail polish brands and colors to choose from. There are several issues that have lead to my withdrawal such as rude staff, incompetent nail technicians, noisy girls, bad music, foul smell or difficult parking. Yes, you can say that I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to looking for the perfect nail salon. Nail Cocktales has been my nail salon of choice for nearly a year now since I moved from my old salon. The place always smells so fresh and clean with equipment they apparently sterilize after every use. I have had the chance to get to know the owner and I am quite impressed by how she runs her business. What caught my eye was their "organic" theme -- from their hot and cold waxes to their Zoya nail polish -- none of these contain harmful chemicals. I liked the sound of that. This place also offers threading services. I've become friendly with the receptionist/manager (hi Jel!) and the therapists are always kind and pleasant. We were seated right away but didn't get served right away. They were taking a long time to prep and chit chatting in the back. That was unprofessional after it opened. The first girl (Ivy) did a great job on my hands but they really take their time doing it. I forgot the other girl's name who did my feet. They only use a deep bucket to soak your feet with warm water. There are no massage recliner chairs in this place. The water gets cold fast here as they have the AC full blast. I would bring a light sweater or they should offer a blanket. Also, the chairs seem to be old and rough so it was not very comfortable. My feet were cleaned pretty well but I must have gotten a lot of skin on the side of my nail. She was trying to remove it. It didn't really hurt as she was removing it carefully. Her massage on my legs and feet were great! What I didn't like was the selections of nail polishes. They had really old nail polish and not a good selection of colors. Terrible! You might as well bring your own! There was about 5 polishes that you had to pay a little extra for name brands but they looked old. Since then after countless new and old nail spa joints, I have found the best one for me. Nail It has been my go-to nail salon since last year mainly because of the whole experience. The staff are professional and you won't here them chitchatting while there are customers around. The method they use for cleaning my fingers and feet is exceptional since they don't brush it every so often but use cotton balls. The interiors are vibrant with a Violet and White theme. I remember always dozing off and waking up 30 minutes later satisfied with my nail cleaning and a quick hand and feet massage.
