I am a super nail biter. I know, I know. It's such a bad habit. But it's something I grew up with and have had the hardest of time trying to get rid of.
But now that I'm 26 years old, I do try to temper my nail-biting tendencies. This is probably why I've tried out different nail salons in the past couple of years, hoping that my freshly manicured fingernails will be spared from my teeth.
I first took my super pudpod fingernails to I Do Nails in Eastwood. Of course the manicurist almost had a heart attack. I mean, come on, what trimming does my nails need when sagad siya sa balat?! I was a manicurist's nightmare but she still gladly took me in and tried her best to clean out the edges and attempted even shape them! It wasn't perfect but it was a valiant effort, and for that I give this nail place two thumbs up!
I also tried out their foot spa + manicure. No need to worry, I don't bite my toe nails naman! Hahaha. But because I cut my own toenails, they aren't as precise and as clean as professional manicurists would do it. She was able to remedy this though, but I wasn't able to get the French-tipped manicure I wanted. I understood, I didn't have the best of toenail canvass to start with anyway.
If you swing by this place, I suggest you do so in the morning as people tend to come in more when the afternoon rolls in. I personally am not a fan of uber crowded nail spas because I can't help but check out other people's nails. (I know, kapal ng mukha ko mag-judge eh ang pangit nga nung akin.) And I also heard that I Do Nails' nail artists are legit. I had a friend who wanted nail art and it was gorgeous! Too bad I wasn't able to take a photo but I promised myself when I finally get to grow out my nails, I'm taking them here and having little pandas painted on them. Hihihihi. read more
