Disappointed. I had a basic pedicure with regular polish. No callus remover, nothing additional. The tech flew through my pedicure. She did the bare minimum for every step. She used the power grinder but I didn't see if she used a new filer. The little scrub brush and sponge were pulled out of the drawer and placed back in when done. Then she tells me my pedicure is $40. What??!! Basic ones, which is what I had, should be $28. Disappointed. I've been here before with no issues. Maybe I just got a bad tech. I'm very disappointed with my experience at Nail Trix in Dickson City. I came in for a pedicure, and the service felt rushed from the moment it started. My feet were barely placed in the water before being taken right back out. There was no real soak, the scrub was quick, and the massage was basically one pass on each calf. I was originally told $98, then after I questioned the price, it was lowered to $70. I did not receive gel polish, a design, or any extra service that would justify that price. For a basic pedicure that felt like it took about 10 minutes, $70 still felt unreasonable. What made it worse is that the finished result did not look professional. There was still dry skin and buildup around my toes and nails, the polish/application looked messy, and my feet did not look or feel like I had just received a proper pedicure. I left feeling taken advantage of, unsatisfied, and like I now have to pay another salon to fix what should have been done properly the first time. For the price being charged, the service should be much more thorough, professional, and worth the customer's money. I would not return or recommend this salon based on my experience. read more

I'm so sad. I went in yesterday with an appointment to have my old set of acrylics taken off and have a new set put on. They told me I didn't need one and painted thick coats on and I was able to see my 3 month old set grown out underneath the design I got. I made an appointment to come back the following day for a fresh full set and showed a picture of exactly what I wanted. The man who did my nails again did not give me a new set, he took off the old paint and freestyled my design. I got my nails done here yesterday and overall all it was okay. I haven't gotten my nails done in about 2 years so it was a while since I've had the experience. She only buff out my real nails before glueing on the tips. I never got my cuticles cut or nails cleaned which I thought were strange. The lady was on her phone the whole time. Stopping her work to text or make a phone call which was annoying. She had to do my thumb 3 times because it wasn't coming out like the others. Overall I'm happy with my nails. There are a couple bubbles but it's not really noticeable. I feel like $65 was a little too much but maybe that's just the rate over here idk. My friend and I decided to stop here on our girls day. The worst technique and nail results I have ever experienced. Not one but both nail techs I came in contact with had poor worksmanship, smears all over my skin and bubbled up gel. A tech fought with us about getting the spa pedi instead of the basic even when we got the manager involved, she gave us the spa pedi anyways and then charged us as such. Another one used foul language and was asking uncomfortable questions while doing my acrylics. And when paying the tech did not return my change and put the $10 in his pocket without even asking. Very unprofessional and uncomfortable. My friend and the people around us were at a loss for words at times. I can only hope they improve on this. read more

I don't know what it is here in Scranton (my experience so far regarding nail salons) but this particular place; PASS. my daughter and I have given this plane a go; I asked for "long", they were short-medium. Worse still, they began breaking and cracking within a couple DAYS. My daughter went again, after we had together, and it was so bad, because they REFUSED to refund (this was after 2 trips BACK to fix nails that POPPED OFF-unheard of until this point, far as I've ever known-) the THIRD trip in they "redid" an entire set. THIS set was popping off as well- within DAYS. NOTE: she's A BANKER. Regardless of one's job, acrylics LET ALONE GELS SHOULD NOT pop off. I would rate this place zero if I could. I needed a UV gel fill and polish I was in the Scranton area. Decided to go to mall and I saw the nail salon. I asked them if they could do a UV gel fill. They told me pick out a color and sit down. Then, the one girl asked me if it was the sticky gel. I should have known then they had no clue. So finally after waiting ten minutes a male tech calls me over to his table. He buffs off my gel polish and shapes my nails, then he polishes on a UV gel polish base but never used a UV builder like the salons use below. He kept adding layers and layers. Then he asks me what are you allergic to acrylics? I said"no"gel nails are better for my natural nails and they don't lift as much eliminating risk of a fungus. I'm already regretting letting him even touch my nails. I had chosen a cats eye polish, but instead of doing two layers of that polish then using the magnet he polished on a layer of some off white gel polish first-and only one of the cat eye color. My nails looked horrible. I could see blotches and dark patches. One nail is so thick and i had gel all over the sides of my nails. Now two days later the nails are all lifting and chipping. The worst part was he charged me $60 for crap work...most salons charge @ $40 - $45 for a "real" UV gel fill and polish. Needless to say I have an appointment to get my ruined gel nails off and now I need a new set. I should have read the reviews before going here. This was the most awful customer experience I have had in my life. I am in from out of town and came here for a gel manicure and simple pedicure. As I sat holding the color of polish while the tech was removing the old polish, to my disbelief there was red nail polish all over my hand and on my new jeans. The tech kept going like nothing had occurred, I asked her to stop until I could find out of something could be done about my jeans. She went up front, came back and said the manager would be over in one minute, she then moved on to the customer to my right. Minutes went by and still no manager, she again replied, one minute. After sitting there for over 5 minutes, I put my shoes back on and asked for the manager myself. He told me that he had "no idea what the hell was going on, all the tech told him was that I didn't want the service anymore." He asked me if I had opened the bottle and told him, that I was on my phone the entire time with the bottle in my hand. He then went back to ask the customer that was sitting next to me if I opened the bottle. Once he asked that I said to him that I was a grown woman and didn't sit there opening a nail polish bottle if I was paying for the service. He told me that he couldn't replace my jeans but he would comp my mani/pedi. (that was fine even though the mani/pedi was $55, my new jeans were $70). After he left I asked the technician why she didn't tell him what had happened, she looked at me and then continued with the other customer). The new tech that was working with me was very nice and did a good job. She then asked if I was getting the same color on my nails, I said yes but gel. She said oh he just told me regular mani/pedi, gel is expensive. I said when I came in I asked for gel, she said in would need to talk to the manager. This is when everything really hit the fan. He came back and told me that he could only do the regular service. I repeated that I came in for the gel mani and pedi. He reiterated the price and I said my jeans were $70 and they were new. (I bought them about 1 week ago) He then said ya right, to the fact that I told him they were new) if I could produce receipt. I told him where I got them and he started yelling that I needed to meet him halfway and that I wasn't going to be getting a gel manicure. He then kept yelling that I needed to meet him halfway and that he was busy with other customers. When he approached the front of the store, he then started yelling that it was an accident, that I was the one holding the bottle at the time, then started telling get the customers that some people just can't be satisfied. I used to come to this salon for everything, I stopped coming when I found somewhere better, however the place I was going to went out of business so I figured I'd give Nail Trix another chance. Well, I came in around 230pm and they were not very busy, they got me right in. I chose my color and the nail tech got to work. I came in for a full set. I told her I wanted them shaped like an almond, she did them square and I asked to have them come more to a point and she filed a little more then moved on. Clearly did not care that that was not what I wanted. She got up from the table several times and even tried to make a phone call in the middle of my service. She did not talk to me or make eye contact at all. I did not get to wash my hands that were coated in the powder from the filing of the acrylics and she just put a huge gob of lotion over it, disgusting. I am never one to post any kind of reviews but I have been getting my nails for for 20 plus years all. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. All I needed was a fill and one nail fixed. My one nail was injured and I told them it was sore and they completely disregarded the pain I was in. Then while filling burned me at least 3 times. Did a absolute rush job like I was bothering them and it was 745 , they don't even close til 9. I left and got about three stores down and realized all of the sides of my nails weren't even painted. When I went back the lady argued with me why I didn't say anything to them while I was there . I wasn't gone out out of the store more than 5 mins. I paid $40 and I expect them to at least paint the nail. The tech then said they couldn't paint my nail because whoever did my nails before did a bad job and they can't fix someone else's work.. it wasn't even about fixing someone else's work it was a fill that's it. Not very hard. The only reason I went there was because I just moved back and my boss highly recommended them. Icing on the cake I get home and one of the nails litterally popped off. I don't even understand how it pops off when I went for a fill. By far the worst experience I have ever had and I do not recommend this place to anyone. I was treated poorly . Worst shellac manicure I've ever gotten. Peeled on the sides within a day, had to take them all off within 2 days. Not worth it.

I went in to get one of my acrylic nails fixed. Upon entering I asked how much it would be to fix my nail. The woman told me a price but when I went to pay they told me it was double the price that I was initially told. Then the woman denied ever telling me a price! We were at the mall and this place was convenient. We get there, let them know we want the service of pedicures and we told to pick out a color. As we are picking out a color this little Vietnamese guy tells us that we'll be in the back room and that we should immediately follow him. He is rude and crude in his conduct and demeanor. The room had 4 chairs and the man set 2 up for us. The basins, that were to fill with water, were dirty. There was hair and white stuff floating in them and one didn't work. The crude/rude man and another guy, who looked sleazy, were suppose to do the pedicures. The crude/rude guy worked on my friend, without gloves and took her polish off as if he were her younger brother. The sleazy guy never got to touch my feet because the basin was filling slowly. We offered to wait for chairs to become available out front. The guys were hesitant and focused on why the tub wasn't filling. So, we added that we had to use the restroom. The guys agreed and the arrangements were made for us to use the front room. My friend was very dissatisfied with the crude/rude dude's non-use of gloves and that he used his own nails as one of his tools in his pedicure. (ick)He also forgot to use a base coat and she had to remind him. I didn't like how a dremel tool was used on my toes and I didn't enjoy how the place felt unsanitary. You are suppose to wipe off the gunk onto a towel, not put it in the water with my feet! I would never go here again or suggest this place to another. They did not do any of the things you pay for in a pedicure and refused to give me two coats of nail polish, which without will make your nails look dull and cause them to chip within a week. My gel manicure chipped within 2 days (off of all nails) because the lady did not know how to properly do a gel manicure. You will waste your money and time going here. Their only concern is money and getting people in and out as fast as possible, not with the care of the person in front of them paying 60 dollars. Do not go here, it is a scam.
