Had an appointment to get a manicure and pedicure today. The pedicure was great with neat polish. The manicure was a little messy with paint on the skin around the nail and one crooked nail. However, the overall experience was relaxing and appreciated. The salon seemed to be clean and followed mask protocol. most employees were very unwelcoming. the guy who did my nails was very rough when filing and drilling my nails down. i have several cuts around my nails due to this. extremely messy polish, and all the nails are different lengths. $55 dollars for this. do not recommend. read more

At my last visit I received a full set of acrylic nails and pedicure. my nail technician spoke very little english but when he did talk he made me laugh so hard, very personable and friendly place, prices were about the same as every where else, its was 70 for a full acrylic set and a pedicure...but i did get colored tips which were $5 more, he gave me exactly what i wanted, ive found my go-to nail salon..when i used to visit other nail salons, my nails would chip or break after a couple of days, he even asked me if i wanted him to add more acrylic to make them thicker and they would hold up stronger, no other place has ever asked me that! i loved it! they are still beautiful! i cant wait to go back in 3-4 weeks for my fill. :D Very Happy guest! read more

They do no waxing here so look elsewhere if you're interested in that. They accept walk-ins. They do a WONDERFUL job on nails. I had a very lovely man do my nails, he worked gingerly, and delicately. I got acrylic nails and they were expensive, I believe I spent around $60 at the end but they were worth it. They've stayed on for about two weeks now with no chips or breakage. My friend got acrylics done as well and she really liked them, a couple of days later one broke so she went back and they fixed it for her for free! She also paid for a pedicure but she didn't love the result. I definitely recommend them and I'll be back soon to get my acrylics filled for sure. read more

I came in to get a shellac manicure. ( gel nail polish) I get the lady in the back who looked like she didn't know how to take off the polish. She started with a normal nail file and then switched to the motorized file. She didn't soak them. She then cut me with the motor file about 3 times in the same spot and I started to bleed. I should have packed up my things then and left. But she sent me to another nail technician and said sorry. This woman was very nice but my nails look horrible. I was over charged and they look like somewhere worse then I would have done. The French manicure is not straight. And she smeared white paint on the tops of my nails that shouldn't have any paint on them. In my pictures the white is not Just a glair from the light, it's actually smeared paint. Then she only did one coat of clear gel at the end. I am so mad and spent 40$ on a horrible job. I will never recommend this place. They are lucky to get 1 star. read more

I'm new to Mogantown, and I did a walk-in mani/pedi at Nail Trix. Not only did it take forever it was not good--not good, at all. When I go out to get my nails done, I like them to look like someone other than me did them. Honestly, for $36 I could have invested in a couple of new OPI polishes and done a much better job on myself. When I got home, I noticed traces of polish all over my toes, fingers, hands, and nailbeds. If I wasn't already running late (2 hours for a regular, non-gel, non-french, no-design/airbrush) I would have gone back and had them remove all of the extra polish. The shaping on the manicure was terrible, and despite my best efforts to get the tech to understand that I wanted short nails, he breezed through the filing and I ended up with both square and round nails. Ugh, the search for a good mani/pedi continues. read more

I've been here twice, but I wouldn't go back. Manicures chip the same day (they only did one coat of color), they dug into my toes and made them bleed (the second time, which is why I won't go back), and it's not super clean. Also, although possibly I was just cranky from the toe-bleeding, I found it really annoying that they told me I really needed to get my eyebrows waxed or I would never find a husband. Usually I am amused by manicurist banter, but they were dead serious! "HAIRY EYEBROWS MAKE YOU UGLY!" Meh. I've also had cheaper and WAY better mani/pedis elsewhere. read more

My girlfriends and I went to Nail Trix II as walk-ins. We were in for a wedding and doing some last minutes errands so stopped in. I had my gel nails removed and wanted a gel manicure. Awful job :/ the man that did mine took FOREVER, which would have been fine if they were meticulously done. However they were not. It seemed he put matte polish on accidentally and then tried to just put a shiny clear gel top coat to fix it, I have 3 chips after 2 days, and the sides of about 4 nails aren't painted. And it was $10 more than my place back home that does an excellent job! I am giving two stars instead of one because my friend got an excellent pedicure and her toes look great. read more

They charged $30 for a color change on my toes for gel paint!! Mind you I did NOT get a pedicure, just a change of color on my toes with gel polish... The regular price for toe polish change is $10, they did not tell me nor did it not say anywhere that they would charge an extra $20,TWENTY DOLLARS for my toes. I almost hit the floor when they showed me the hand written "receipt". The person helping me kept talking in circles when I questioned the price but eventually they did give me five dollars off.... I got a fill and gel paint on my fingers too. My total bill was originally $70, so my fingers totaled $40 (understandable for a fill and gel paint) so the remaining was $30 for my gel toe paint, but $30 for toes just to paint?? That's unbelievable, even if it's gel.... I live right down the street but definitely will not be returning. Disappointing :( read more
