If you like cute, trendy designs on your nails, this is not the place to get your nails done. The manager Holly did my nails and I showed her the design I wanted, she told me she could do the design. She actually could not do ANY design very well. This was disappointing because if she could not do the design, she should have just said that. Instead I had to accept what she put on my nails and left the salon very unhappy. AND after I expressed I wasn't happy with the designs she did on the first 2 nails, she seemed to become agitated. This experience was so disappointing. I showed the lady a picture I wanted. The design was French tip and then on the big toe It was supposed to have sparkles and rhinestone. She told me she could do the design so I started my appointment. When she finished the French tip, she put sparkles on the big toe, but doesn't have any rhinestone. So then I had to change the whole design and get something else that I didn't want. This is for my graduation. This moment only happens once in life and she messed it up for me. She lied. She Told me she could do something that she couldn't do. She knew good and well she couldn't do that design but yet let me sit in her chair, because she wanted to get paid. And then when it came down to actually paying, she asked me if I wanted to tip and I said five dollars. And she put that I tipped her $15. So I ended up paying $65 for just plain white toes. I'm so upset. I'm so disappointed. This is a once in a lifetime thing for me. All I wanted was for my toenails to match my fingernails because my fingernails have rhinestones. Why did you say you could do a design that you couldn't do. You're a grown woman if you can't do something admit that. It's 8 PM at night. You're the only place that's still open right now at this time. And now I still have to pay anyway so I'm getting something I don't like. I am so disappointed. Disappointment isn't even the word. I sat there in the chair and cried as she did my toes. This moment is so important to me and you couldn't do the one thing that I asked. And then you lie? There are a lot of things in here for their decor is definitely not minimal. But everything is dusty!! I'm glad I took my allergy medicine that day or I would be suffering. I don't have pictures this time, but this salon is a whole vibe! You literally feel transported to another country with the well thought out decorations inside. I got a reflexology pedicure for Mother's Day and went today to get it done. It's very clean inside, service was great and the little lady did a wonder massage on my feet. I'm going to try and be as transparent as I can with this review based solely on my first time receiving service for my mani and pedicure. The nail technicians that provided the service were of course nice. After having paid $68 plus tip for both services I was initially satisfied. It was shortly after I left that I began to notice that the gel polish and regular polish were not applied properly. Regular polish for my pedicure was on my cuticles. Gel polish immediately started peeling a couple hours later. I returned to have the polish removed shortly after and the nail technician handling the removal was very dismissive of my complaint. I'm glad she completed the job to remove the polish. I will not be returning. Obviously after having lost $68+ with nothing to show for it but thinner nails and dry cuticles from the nail bit used to remove the gel and acetone for the regular polish. I have gone to this nail salon for years and it has always been hit or miss but it wasn't the worst and most nail places in Jax aren't great. But my most recent experience was awful. The person doing my pedicure was not doing great, but when it came time to paint the nails it went off the rails. She was putting nail polish all over the toes. Not accidentally mind you, she was doing it on purpose and then wiping it off with her gloves which were then covered in it and getting wiped all over my feet. It was so bad i thought she might be having a medical episode and I asked her if she was okay or maybe needed to take a break. She said it was fine and tried to clean it up. She finished by putting the clear coat on 4 toenails and three toes (3 she didn't touch at all). I then went to get the manicure and they put me at the nail stand at the front desk rather than at a dedicated station so the person doing the manicure was running the desk while doing the manicure and to make matters worse she had the nastiest attitude. She was rude and condescending. She also did an absolutely terrible job. The nails came out thick, lumpy, and misshapen. I tried telling her repeatedly and she just deflected and then pretended not to hear me. I also asked for an actual manicure, not just the nail dip color. She got very snotty about that and told me that she'd have someone else do that when she was done. I tried telling that third person that I wanted to get the polish/dip removed because it just looked awful and she said I would be charged extra to get this goop removed. That was the last straw. Met up for a pedi with some of my girlfriends. There were a total of 5 of us. They put us all in a separate room so we could be together and chat. They were ready for us right at our appointment time. We all got the deluxe which, once you go deluxe, you never go back. My nail tech was Jenny. She was very nice and careful. Pedicure was nicely done, and is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars or I would have left 1. When sitting down for my nails Tiffany didn't greet me ask me how I wanted my nails just started filing them to her liking .. not even making them match just doing minimal effort. I never write really bad reviews but....I went for the first time yesterday and first of all the staff pretty much ignored me when I walked in and I've been to another nail time before and have never had this kind of bad service. When I sat down the lady barely wanted to speak to me I tried to engage in a conversation because it's super awkward when your sitting there silently and she never wanted to speak to me. Then she started to massage my neck and it was so freaking rough it started hurting ‍ I could go further about my experience but it's too long. I do want to say this though...when I checked out she's like it's $35 and I'm like okay cool but then she's like "do you have $35 on your card?" Okay, I am a rugged man who from time to time enjoys taking my daughters to get pedicures. One time while waiting for them to finish, they talked me into joining them and I remember thinking, "Are you kidding me, why hasn't my wife told me how relaxing this is". Needless to say, I am hooked although I only have time to go a few times a year. Now that I have justified why I was here in the first place, let me tell you, Nail Time is awesome. It is in a very large space at the back end of a strip center and the staff is courteous and friendly. They have a number of services ranging from a straight pedicure to hot stone, reflexology and mint masks for your feet. Each two chairs are separated by a bamboo privacy fence, so not everyone is staring at you (a constant for a guy 6'4" with his size 12 feet in a small tub of water). At no time was I rusher or hurried and I was offered red or white wine, Coke/Diet Coke or water. Very nice experience. read more
