Average nail salon with a RUDE front desk lady. This is my last time coming here. She told my friend and I to stop talking. Meanwhile, two ladies with 4 crying kids weee running around the salon screaming. Getting your nails done should be a relaxing experience... not one where the staff is rude. There are plenty of other mail salons... don't go here unless your desperate. read more

Tanya is amazing! 5 Stars! The deluxe pedicure is wonderful. My go to place for great nails.

Clean salon, very friendly staff. The techs did a gre job on a pedicure and manicure for my sister and I. When we checked in without appointments, even though it was quite busy, we had a short wait. The digital check in process is convenient and easy to use. It was a relaxing stop for our afternoon. Would definitely visit again! read more

I was so excited to get my nails done today, and do something different than normal. I brought in a picture of what I wanted and Tanya knew exactly what to do! She was so nice and did an amazing job. I couldn't be happier with my gel manicure! Can't wait to go back and get another. read more

Nice clean salon and the chairs (for pedicures) have a massaging function which is a nice bonus. I came with a group of 5 other girls and it was easy to book an appointment via Yelp (we booked about a month in advanced but not sure how much earlier is necessary). My technician, Cindy was polite and professional. I got the signature pedicure and overall it looks fine...however two points of improvement is that the massage could've used more pressure/strength and one of my toenails have a more rounded shape when the rest have a straight edge (but I noticed this in the end so it was kind of too late to tell her). Location is near the beach, and various restaurants and even Vons. read more

Pretty disappointed. My pedicure was fine, I had a viable cut on my foot that she was pretty rough on but it was fine. I had a full set done and the lady asked me to get gel, I said no, then said it was $5 extra for an oval shape, then didn't file or clean under the new set. She moved my seat because dust was getting on my wet nails but didn't fix the dust on them. read more

I had been looking for some where to have my nails done on a regular basis and so I tried this place and was immediately impressed and happy! Everyone is so polite. It's clean and they have so many color options! Prices are reasonable too! I would highly recommend coming here for mani and pedi's! And if you're lucky, ask for Jenny!!! She is THE BEST!!! Tanya is the best! She is professional and thoughtful. . She takes a good deal of time and her work shows it.

** I was contacted by the owner to delete my review for a full refund. I'm fairly positive I'm not the only one..... Today I cheated on my normal nail salon because it's my birthday and I was driving by. This was my second time at this salon and I wish I would have told the lady at the front to "remember my face because she'll never see it again." I opted for whatever the $36 pedicure is that rings up at $38 due to a service charge. I understand service charges, but what I don't understand is when a place is charging a fee yet won't give you the option to tip via card. The pedicure was OK, but felt rushed. The girl who worked on my feet was VERY nice, but it was definitely not the best I've ever had. Last time I came here I wrote a review, but deleted it because the owner called and asked me to give them a second chance. I deleted my review just because I thought that was a thoughtful gesture. After my interaction with the lady at the front, Holly, I most definitely won't be back. Holly sat there with her headphones plugged in and her hand out looking for payment. She swiped the card without telling me how much it was then refused to let me tip on the card. I replied that they should tell people its cash only tip upon arrival in which she snapped "everyone knows! It's always been this way since we opened" um what? Clearly I didn't? This is not how you talk to paying customers. The 2 stars are for cleanliness and conversation with my friendly nail technician. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I took my mom and sisters to this salon to get our nails done as a treat for mom's birthday. When you register to check in they ask if you're a local or visitor which I found strange. I used to live on the island 4 years ago but I don't consider myself a local anymore since I moved, so I indicated visitor. Later I found out why they would ask that question. The lady who did my nails spent 10 minutes on my manicure at most. I asked her to file my nails down so they would all be an even length. She only filed one hand and proceeded with oils and lotions. After she asked how it looked to me and I asked her to file the other hand because she did not touch it, she sighed and filed only two fingers. Then she asked if I wanted to pay now or later. Why would I pay before the job was done? Bizarre. I told her I was there with my mom and siblings and we would pay later together. She painted two sloppy coats, uneven paint layers on multiple nails. A child could have done a better job. Throughout this whole experience I noticed how if you were or looked like you were a local, they rolled out the red carpet, took their time and probably received better quality. An older gentleman sitting next to us had a manicure (no polish) that lasted nearly and hour. It's unfortunate that paying customers who don't live on the island get lesser treatment. My aunt who lives on Coronado told me about a few nails salons, I chose to go to this one. I will tell her of my experience and I don't think she will be coming back here either. My sisters were not satisfied with they're nails as well. One didn't touch her cuticles at all and her gel manicure looked like it was already grown out a week and my other sister didn't have her nails painted evenly all the way through. It was also very apparent they were all talking about us. Poor poor customer service and poor quality. Maybe they have other ladies that do a better job but not the three we dealt with. There are many other salons on the island, don't go to this one especially if you're not a "local". read more

READ BEFORE YOU GO: I brought a picture to my nail appointment. I asked the lady to do them exactly like the picture. I was worried when she started because she didn't cut my cuticles or my nails. She immediately started putting the acrylic on my nail. My cuticles were dry and definitely needed some attention. I asked for coffin style with a matte finish. I ended up with a square style and rounded tips and a shiny finish. At the end, she didn't put lotion on my hands or even oil. She literally put the acrylic on and told me she was done. I called the next day and left my phone number for the manager. I never received a call and no one attempted to reach out. It was very apparent that they just wanted to get me in and out. HORRIBLE SERVICE. read more

Was really hoping this would be my new nail place but it was a huge miss. My nails are bumpy, uneven and chunky. I was trying to ask for a specific shape and length, to realize the lady didn't speak any English and if she did... she sure didn't listen to what I wanted! Salon was very clean and cute but the workers were so rude everyone customer was looking at each other with horrified faces. I got my nails done earlier today, gelish #16, and one hour after coming home I notice my pinky, middle, and thumb nails are not smooth but crinkly. This is unacceptable for $35 gel manicure job. I had to hire a sitter to get my nails done with my sister here (who is a regular here) and I am utterly annoyed. They offer $5 off for yelp reviews and perhaps that is why they have 4 stars. I think the person who did my nails is Melissa, this is just straight up annoying. read more

Worse nails I have ever got!! They never listen to what you ask for. I asked for French tips and she decided to paint half my nail it doesn't even look like a French tip, they are so messy and uneven they did no nail prep either. I asked my nail tech to fix the French tip and she got really mad and started over but still did it the same way. You can obviously tell they talk bad about you in Vietnamese to the other nail techs. They were so pushy and rude especially THE FRONT DESK LADY! The nails are were so rushed as well. This will be the last time ever I come to this nail studio! read more

So I've been here a couple times now and I really like it. Its always bright and clean and friendly. Its also always busy but I've never had to wait longer than 15 minutes for a walk in appointment. I love the stiletto style nail design and I usually do acrylics because I have weaker nails. Tina who did my nails today was amazing. The last time I was in the lady nicked 3 of my fingers with the dremel machine which is not supposed to happen. Tina did an amazing job though and I'll be going back to her. read more

Probably the same wait if I didn't bother making an appointment. The nail technicians are OK overall, but I've had much better and cheaper elsewhere. read more

Update: salon has since began harassing me to remove my review!!! WORST EXPERIENCE! My best friend and I went in to try a new salon, we were burned by nail files left and right and kept having to jerk our hands back. Asked for round shape and was given some round, some almond, and even a couple coffin shapes. Within 12 hours of getting said manicure lost a nail and others began lifting, called and was told to come back in to get them fixed, no big deal right? Well they "fixed" the one nail that came off with a random coffin shape and claimed the others were fine. The next night I lost another called and said I wanted a refund and was told to come back in to have them "fix" them again. Told them I wanted a refund because I didn't want i'm touching me again. Kept refusing. Ended up going to another salon Wednesday (polish me nails in Point Loma- HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and when they took the nails off we found an infection. My friend who got her nails done was with me and ALSO had a nasty infection from "unclean tools" called to tell them what was found and they again refused me refund. To quote the managers exact words "do you think my nail techs work for free" To which I replied "do you think I pay $97 for infections?" Told them We would call the health department and they then offered us a refund only if We came in to get it. We went in to get it and they were rude and threw the refund at us. ( my nails cost me $57 ((I was missing four and rather than ask me if I wanted a full set for 50 went ahead and charged me an extra $3 per nail that needed a new tip)) and my toes another 40 so I didn't even receive my full refund) I do not recommend even thinking about going here! This nail salon is terrible. Possibly the worst in all of San Deigo. It's overpriced, and the staff is dreadful. I've been here too many times because the location is convenient for me. But today was the last time. They did a horrible job, and my acrylic full let looks sloppy at best. The gal that did my nails was rude, rushed, and gave me a 10 minute lecture on how a round nail is different from an almond nail and that I should know the difference. She spoke to her coworker the entire time, and it was painfully obvious that she was talking about me. She was very unprofessional. The front desk gal was quiet, possibly even ruder. The entire experience just started my Sunday off on a bad note, plus I paid $65 dollars for a horrible experience. I honestly can't believe this place stays in business. They are absolutely the worst, and the wild part is that it is always like this. I've been here numerous times, and every time I leave, I feel worse than I did when I came in. At this point, it's on me to stop going, but my goodness, this is a wretched place. Last thing, it seems like a lot of their other reviews are fake. Which makes sense to me. Disappointed in the salon for many reasons. It is NOT relaxing as the technicians are constantly chattering amongst themselves. My gel nails were very thick and I had to file all the left over bits that were so obviously missed along the edges. I live a few blocks from here so it's an easy walk for me. There's never a long wait for walk-ins and the ladies are really good. When I first started coming here, they're not the friendliest until they see you come in regularly. But I always feel like it's like that in most nail salons. You can also order wine. I was just charged $69 for a simple, regular pedi and eyebrow wax. From the secretary to my nail tech, no one acted as if they cared about my business or happiness. The secretary didn't even acknowledge me until she got off the phone from a personal call. Then, I was unfortunate to get the nail tech, Paula, who by no means enjoys her job or customer service. She was rude as hell and didn't even change the water when I asked if it could be warmer. Time to get an attitude adjustment Paula or go back to Vietnam. The wax tech was nice and did a good job.
