This honestly used to by my favorite salon but I won't be going back. I understand being busy but all the services feel rushed. Quantity not quality. They'll say they can do what you want before even seeing a picture, then get snappy when you say it doesn't look right. If you need to tweak something, ask me first so we agree on something before the nails are halfway done and say "well they used this". Just more frustrating than relaxing to be spending that much money for the quality you pay for. And you can't be rushing with that nail drill because it gets hot, especially when they're being "heavy handed". Also, the lashes look good but it pulls your natural lashes out so bad with the glue/amount they use. And they don't remove them for you so definitely order the professional lash adhesive before you consider them. Hate they aren't like they were before. read more

I usually ask for Traci or Tammy. I went just now and specified I'd wait for Tammy. I saw she was just talking to her coworkers and working on someone else's nails. As 30mins passed I realized that she wasn't really acknowledging that I was waiting. I understand she can't rush a customers nails. I went on my 2 hour break. I went from 1:30 and it's now 2:20 & she then admits she didn't know I was waiting but Traci told her I had been waiting. Aside from that she said she doesn't have time. I waited almost a hour just to be told she couldn't do my nails. I don't think I'll be going back or If I do it'll be in favor of Traci. read more

I was told 45 & up for full set. Ended up paying 68$ plus a 5$ tip. They fail to mention all the extras you end up being charged such as 5$ for shaping 10$ for MEDIUM length ect. Asked for 2 ombre nails ended up getting 2 marble nails(not by choice) & was still charged. 45$ is the price for no length short plain nails I guess but they won't tell you that from the get go. Smh. In the area for a visit with sisters. One was celebrating birthday. I had pedicure with two sisters. A guy named Danny ( not sure that is his actually name), did the pedicure. I got my nails done here on April 19, and they are still on and look so good. I have really sweaty hands so my nails usually never last more than a week and a half but I'm going on 3 weeks with these and not a single nail has chipped or fallen off! Idk why this place doesn't have more stars I will definitely be coming back! I got acrylic full set with gel, coffin shape, and only $45! I wanted to find a new nail salon, and spend the better part of the morning going through reviews. I came across nail max saw the reviews and pictures and thought they should be okay. Honestly they were as predicted meh, I mean the experience was just meh. The lady that did my nails asked me what I wanted and I told her I wanted a shorter set in the almond shape I expressed specifics enough so that she knew wanted in the least rude or bourgeois way. As we get started she initially wanted to make my nails longer to which I kindly asked the young lady to cut them and then there's the shape.... Goodness as we were going along I'm telling the woman I need these less pointy and more almond, yet she keeps assuring me that the shape will change as she finishes I will let you guys be the judge. Btw I am in no way saying she did a bad job I asked her to make the set thin and she heard me there just not on the shape situation I suppose. Halfway through the process I could tell she just wanted to get me out the chair so I just shut up and let her finish. Ive been going to Nail Max since they open. But after the service I received today I will not. I came into the shop at 6pm didn't start my nails til 630pm. I then get rushed and told to pick a color after 2 of the colors I picked they don't have. Tracey starts telling me to hurry up , they close at 7 they ready to go. Im shocked bec I've never been talked to or rushed like this . Especially by the owner. Poor customer service and my nails look basic as ever. I just went to have my nails, pink and white, done at this nail spa yesterday. Susan did my nails and it was the best experience that I have had in a nail salon ever. Susan did an excellent job and I will be going back there from now on. I just wish I had found them sooner as they have been in Rocky Mount almost a year. Gave them two chances. Polish on toes chipped two days later! Also no cuticle oil polish done crappy. Didn't paint the ends and did things without us knowing and charged us. Im visiting from out of town and asked for sns and a pedicure. The pedicure was great and the young guy that did them did a great job but I asked for sns nails. I have very long nails and when I sat down I told the lady what I wanted. I specifically wanted to soak off the old color and get a new sns set. First the lady tried to cut my REAL NAILS after I told her I still have powder that needs to be soaked off. Sophia came over and told the lady what needed to be done. Then as she's dipping my nail in the powder she was very rough and you could tell she was very inexperienced. She dipped my nail 8 times. It's only dipped twice if done correctly so it is very thick on my nails. She wouldn't file them down even though they were noticeably thick and lumpy and when I asked her to file them down or drill them down she said no. Sophia came over again and reshaped my nail and got them to the correct look and style I wanted. After they switched off again the lady then just polished over the nail without buffing them out or drilling them like Sophia asked her to. All in all I was very optimistic cause of the reviews but when I'm in town visiting family I won't come here anymore. I'm thankful for Sophia but not happy that my once long and healthy natural nails are damaged and hurting not to mention lumpy and uneven. read more

The gentleman man who did my pedicure was very rough. He dug his nails into the top of my foot and broke the skin. He played it off like I did it myself. Even the lady next to him who was working on my husband's pedicure said something to him after I gave a disapproving look. My husband had a wonderful experience during his pedicure. I was very unhappy with the service I received. They didn't tell me they were using gel polish and then charged me for it. They didn't use cuticle oil. And after only a few days my polish started to chip off. And after a week I already needed a fill in. I thought I would give them another chance thinking it may have just been that particular person. So I went back to show them where my polish was chipping and requested a fill in by a different person. They charged me extra to take off my polish because it was gel (that I didn't ask for). They did a fill in. Again no cuticle oil. And again a week later I needed a fill in again. I started to think that my nails just grow fast but I started going somewhere else and have not needed a fill in every week. read more

I Google nail salons in Rocky Mount NC and this Salon came up 4 and half stars..Great!!! went in..Guy ask what I wanted told me cash got me 10% off if credit card full price, then nodded to a male tech.He had a nasty cold and he kept hitting his nose and it was early in morning but his hands looked dirty..But I had class reunion and a funeral and no time to find another salon. Long story short ask for what use to be French manicure and a design..breast cancer symbol that he had no ideal what that was..tech next to him showed how..Nails were oval and I asked short round.. sitting next to another lady and we talked about lashes..I was curious how long application stayed on 3 weeks individual and 3 days strip...she said try them and hers were pretty..went to that part of salon the tech in there lady said same as far as application she said 25.00 individual and 15.00 strips..that was a Thursday my reunion was fri-sun I needed those lashes to stay on so crazy me said individual..worse mistake the next morning wash face carefully and lashes on my cloth by Saturday left eye had none...Wait a minute went to fast when I went to register my total was 75.00. Ok I knew 40.00 gel set and 25.00 lashes..That what I was told going in..Then it was nails 50.00 because you didn't get color but French manicure ..I told tech your lost or your gain "no tip " and You lost a customer that was looking for a Salon...Ask questions and if you feel things are wrong don't keep sitting leave....
