am sad to have to leave this review, I've been going exclusively to Envious Nail Bar since March…read more2025 almost every single month for a pedicure. I typically get the Luxury Spa Pedicure with gel. This time for my birthday month I decided to go the weekend before to get my pedicure and asked for the Collagen Spa Pedicure with gel. ($67 + $15 gel + $15), as far as color I asked to try the cat eye polish. I also told the nail tech that because they use the drill to take off the gel my big toe nails have been brittle and sometimes break at the edges before my next appointment. So I asked for some sort of builder gel or something to strengthen it. (One time one tech did rebuild a section of my toe nail with builder gel to match) Well I'm not sure she understood me. About 5 hours later sure enough my right toe nail cracked in the middle/edge. It was too late on a Saturday to go back and ask for it to be fixed. I called around 10am Monday morning and was told to come in at 4:20. I did. I never felt so judged and the looks I was getting when the receptionist went around telling about 4 different techs my complaint. I did wait about 15 minutes for someone to help me, which was fine, but then the tech who originally did my nails didn't even fix it. She said she didn't hear me when I said I wanted builder gel, just that I was saying I had issues with them breaking. So now I felt bad that someone else is having to fix it. So I obviously tipped her. (Mind you I tipped $20 to the tech who did my nails Saturday). Then she gives me a bill of $10! She ended up putting a tip on. 1. It was wayyy too long and had to ask her to file it down and still looks too long. 2. Then I noticed that the cat eye was facing the wrong way! I'm so disappointed how this was handled and these were supposed to be my birthday nails. I paid a total of $131 for a pedicure I'm not even happy with and don't match.

I called in the morning and made an appointment for later that day. We arrived about 20 minutes early, and she was able to take my granddaughter within five minutes. I like that we could pay for the service and tip with Zelle or credit card without penalty of charging a fee for using a credit card. They have a sign-in tablet to earn points. I think they are fair with their pricing. The salon is clean. The technicians speak Vietnamese, but communicate in English as well. I would have given a five-star review, except I observed that a nail technician dropped her nail/cuticle clippers on the floor and picked them up with her gloved hand and did not change her gloves or wash her hands, nor did she sanitize the instrument or place it in a soiled container, but proceeded to use it on her client. I am a State Board Licensed Cosmetologist, and licensed to work as a Manicurist. When it comes to safety and sanitation, if she were taking an exam to get her Manicurist License - that is an automatic fail. I plan to take my granddaughter back to Nail Me Lounge, and although I do not live in the area, perhaps when I am in town, I will get my nails done there next time, as well.

Talented artist with a horrible attitude…read more Hello Brian. I hope you are having a great day. The purpose of this letter is to notify you that I will no longer be returning to or supporting your establishment. This was a difficult decision to make because I genuinely care about people, especially those with whom I have built rapport. I also hoped that your attitude toward others would change over time. Even against Katy's advice, I continued to frequently support your establishment and listen to the harsh comments you made about other people. I accepted your negative demeanor even when I made simple requests regarding services that I was paying for with my hard-earned money. I also tried to bring you more business by referring friends, including my closest friends. Each time, however, you had something negative to say, and you treated them so poorly that they vowed not to return. The last incident was the final straw. I brought a friend in to have her nails done, and you made her feel so uncomfortable that she later asked me why I would continue spending my money at a place with such subpar customer service. Your Yelp reviews are filled with customers expressing concerns about how rude you are, and every chance I had, I tried to defend you. However, you never extended that same grace or flexibility to me. When I asked you to try something new for me, you refused. During my most recent visit, you told me that you prefer your clients not bring referrals because you do not understand why "Westerners like to do everything together." You also expressed frustration that my friend and I were conversing with one another while getting our nails done. You were upset that my friend wanted to know the cost of services before receiving them, and you even stated that "people should not enter your establishment with expectations." I found that statement, along with many of your other comments and behaviors, to be offensive and dismissive of the very customers you serve. Your attitude is not welcoming, and when concerns about it were brought to your attention, you stated that you did not care. You said that you are "not a try-hard," that people either like it or they do not, and that you do not force anyone to patronize your business. With that understanding of your true perspective, your lack of professionalism, and your inability to provide quality customer service in an industry that depends entirely on customers, referrals, and word of mouth, I have decided to no longer support Fancy Nails and Spa. I will be posting an honest review on Yelp, and I sincerely hope that you find a way to treat people with more kindness and respect. This is especially important considering that you have expressed concerns about declining customer volume and competition from independent nail technicians. I wish you all the best, and I hope that the true teachings of Buddhism help you reflect on how you view the world and how you treat others, especially in your professional life. Thank you for the quality nail art you have provided over the years. Despite everything, I genuinely wish for kindness, empathy, and gratitude to find you and radiate from within. Sincerely, Ro

After observing serious sanitation issues at numerous nail salons in the Menifee area for 10 years,…read moreI decided to put my foot down and find a "real" nail salon. Thrilled to have found Letting Go in early March when Lorraine put me on a waiting list and got me in on a Friday when another customer cancelled. Perfect timing, too, because it was just a few days prior to me and my mother putting ourselves on "house arrest" because of the C-Virus scare. Although Lorraine is a "nail artist," I told her I only wanted something similar to what I have been doing a long time; purple base with glitter. I asked her, don't you have samples you can show me from a bottle? She says, "We don't do it that way here. I custom-make your gel colour and glitter to your specifications." I showed her some pix of my nails from the other salon, and she used that as a starting point. Now that I trust her implicitly, I will likely let her come up with her own purple colour and glitter ideas next time. It is nearly a month since I had the work done and only ONE nail is starting to chip so far. I hope I can hold out until my house arrest is over, like another month, by clipping the nails carefully. This is a small intimate salon, not crowded with people since is appointment only. Unlike most other salons, the technicians are not rushing, so plan extra time for this type of quality. Also, be prepared to pay more money here than at an assembly line salon, but it is worth every penny of it. (My last nail shop couldn't even get the colours straight cuz the samples were often in the wrong spot with the wrong number). That can't happen here because there are no samples with numbers! I can't wait to go back for my hands and feet, hopefully by late May!

You can tell she really values her work and reputation which is respectable**** Lorraine asked me to call her an hour before my appointment to see how she was doing on time. She said i was good to come in at 7. Rushed over from work and wasn't seen until 7:40!! She checked the steelers score game, made a phone call, and worked on other customers nails while working with me. As you can see in the photos my fingers are inflamed and cut up. I showed her a photo of ombre nails with one rose gold marble nail. I have no problem with a manicurist saying they cant do a certain design but she seemed confident about it and this is how it came out! 3 streaks of paint and some glitter. She told me she couldn't do the massage thats usually included cause her fingers hurt but still charged the same price. You can also expect to be rushed out with crooked nails and gunk stuck under your fingernails
