Buckle up. Firstly, I want to start off by saying a few things before I get into the specific experience I had tonight. I have been going to Nail Club for 3 years for both full set and pedicure. Every full set I have gotten(besides tonight) had been the male nail tech. When I first started coming here, I always chalked up my experience with the male nail tech as he is just unfriendly and that was his personality. I didn't feel too deeply about it as he always did a really nice job and did very well on designs I had showed him if I wanted them. I never requested to have him I just always ended up with him and I just assumed maybe he was the only one in the salon that did them. I was always polite, thanked him said I was happy with the results and I always tipped very well. Again he was always unfriendly I just thought it was his personality and it didn't affect me or my interaction with him during any appointment. Let's fast forward to now and talk about my experience tonight. For the first time ever I get one of the female nail techs to do my full set. This is the female tech with the short greyish hair. I tell her what I would like done, show her a picture of the design I want on two nails and we begin. As she is building the nails I observe my pinky nail and thumb specifically is very thick and bubbled as the rest of the nails were not. Yes, she was in the beginning phases of building the acrylic and I know that. Before she continued I just stated what I observed about how thick the two nails looked compared to the rest. She instantly raised her voice at me started shaking her head and waving hands in my face saying " I'm not even done with them yet " I then said " Yes I know that and I have had them done before and they are never layered on this thick " She then starts yelling at me saying " I'm not even done with them yet so why are you sitting here complaining " I then stated "I am not complaining I am telling you what I am observing ." It is very clear this woman does not know what complaining is because I did not complain I literally made an observation and I had 0 tone in my voice when doing so. The male nail tech witnessed all this. After that she immediately started speaking to the other employees and they both, very obviously, kept getting closer or walking by repeatedly and standing and staring. The nails look awful. I know for a fact after this interaction we had she sabotaged my full set and purposely did a shit job. I stayed composed really didn't speak to her at all. When we were done curing the nails she immediately stands up and tells me " wash your hands " and leaves the main area immediately. At this point I'm debating even leaving her a tip since I knew I would be paying for these ugly nails no matter what at this point. The male nail tech was waiting at the counter for me to pay. I said to him " ya know the way she interacted with me was extremely rude " he said absolutely nothing, didn't look at me, didn't acknowledge what I had said nothing. Here's where I made the big mistake I STILL TIPPED HER IN CASH. I just thought you know what you came for a service you received a service whatever. I will never return to this place after tonight which does make me sad because it's just where I have been going for the past 3 years. All the negative reviews about this place mostly center around this specific female nail tech. I think why people continue to go here despite having these commonly rude and unfriendly interactions is because they can do many artistic designs and that's about it. Never again will I go here and the male nail tech, owner or boss, whoever he is not acknowledging his employees bad behavior towards me when he witnessed it all sealed the deal for me. This is place doesn't even deserve a one star!!! This place is absolutely terrible. I had inspiration pictures and tried to talk them through what I wanted and they were very quick to turn me down and not listen to my suggestions. They went way too short on my nails and charged me $95 dollars for a basic French tip. Go to Oscars if you actually want good quality nails for a good price. They left polish all over my hand on multiple nails and when I asked them to please remove the polish all the lady told me was "it will come off when you wash your hands". read more
