Staff is super friendly, but if you come in asking for maps or puzzles be prepared to be hit on the head. I love how their name badges are nicknames like Boomhauer and Overlord. Address them by those names to give em a smile. Large variety of comics both old and current. There are action figures n games too but I didn't pay much attention to them. Very spacious. Supplies are well priced and in good variety.

They have about three rooms on the second floor to peruse (See photos). They have really cool stuff for sale, and it is decorated like a museum, with lots of musical memorabilia (a bunch of it autographed). Since I was there, I decided to peruse the selections of vinyl records for sale. They had a lot of really cool inventory, and even though I am not really a collector of records, I do still have some from when I was younger, and it was cool to see certain selections that I currently own, and the price that they are selling for. He was playing some groovy music that I was really vibing to as I looked through what the crates. I can always find something I'm interested in for $10 or less. Jerry's is a third place to me. It's a must visit every time I'm back in Pittsburgh! Jerry's is estimated to have over 500,000 records. Here's what I've learned from my two years in Pittsburgh to help sort through the collection: 1. Best sellers are located upfront. Normally there's a few of each artist: The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Rush, Aerosmith, and many more. Price range between $20-60 2. For people starting out, Jerry's has a lot of well known albums and artists for $7-8 a record. Common finds: Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Santana, REO Speedwagon, Jefferson Starship/Jefferson Airplane, Elton John, STYX, and Chicago. 3. Huge Christmas selection in the $3-20 range. They likely have what you're looking for. My boyfriend's mom was looking for Christmas with Mitch for many years. She found 8 copies at Jerry's Records in less than 15 minutes. 4. There's a large Broadway and musical soundtrack section tucked in the corner down the first hallway on the right. Normally they are about $5-15. 5. Before checking out, look at the record and sleeve for damages. From experience, most priced above $7 play really well. They may have a few crackles, but a quick wash takes most of that away. Things in the $3 range are risky.

The records here for the most part seem to be vintage. I didn't find a number of things I was looking for -- perhaps they were too new to be found here or a little obscure. But, I did notice that they have a very large collection of musicals and film soundtracks (the former of which I am a major fan). The rows and rows of what I think is their back stock not in the main center of the store are also a sight to behold. There are also a lot of hodgepodge bins at the front of the newest and "hottest" arrivals, as well as employee picks. I'm sure I'll be back here again. There must be 50K records in here. It is a bit overwhelming. Also, I will lastly say that the prices for the majority of items I saw while perusing are rather affordable and reasonable.

The shop has sleek, inviting signage in its window (I couldn't stop looking at the mannequin with a CRT TV for a body!). We walked in excited to see what the store has in store, and would you believe it, the *cutest* corgi came running up to greet us! If anything, stop in to meet Clarissa the Corgi. The shop is spacious, orderly, and not crammed with records. There is a nice selection of both old and new records, and at reasonable prices. I gravitated towards the older records and left the store with two for a total of $20. The owner was very friendly and welcoming and told us that she regularly updates the inventory. Parking can be a little tricky, but we discovered a lot behind the store and were able to find a spot. Wasn't able to buy anything mainly bc my ability to stay and look was shortened in the hopes of getting air and quickly.

I returned to the store this evening to try and sell the rest of the figurines and entertainment…read moremerchandise from my personal collection I have been building over the years. We went to the store a few days ago and felt that the young lady was fair in the offer she gave us for the few items we brought in to sell. As a result, we thought it was safe to bring the rest of my collection all at once tonight. Unfortunately, my husband and I truly feel like a fast one was played on us. We brought well over 50 items into the store. After waiting approximately 45 minutes for the three associates to look over the items, the young man called us to the counter to let us know that they were only interested in purchasing quote, unquote just a few things. He pointed to a bag sitting behind the counter that was stuffed to the top with my collectibles and said that they were not interested in hardly any of the action figures or collectible figurines. He then pointed over to a shelf which only appeared to have 12 items tops and said these are the few things that we are interested in purchasing. His offer was $20 store credit or $16 cash. Thinking it was only if you items I took the offer and brought my throne about collection back to my car. I just got back to my house and realized that I was never given a receipt showing what exactly they bought in the price they gave me for each item. On top of that, when I went through my collection that was hardly stuffed in the bag I found it was more like 25 to 30 items most of which were my action figures and collectible figurines. Needless to say I am not happy in the least. I have been searching online and all through the website looking for a contact form or an email. I would really like to formally document my complaint and dissatisfaction. Oh well... I guess I am going to just have to personally go into the store tomorrow to the bottom of this. I'll be sure to keep you posted on how the situation develops and the resolution presented... If any Grrrrrr
