Mocassins are made by Minnetownka which are all over the store. Check out the Native American headdresses on sale as you browse. They are very expensive as well as beautiful. They also carry suede and leather jackets, coonskin caps, Indian jewelry, pottery, carved gift boxes as well as some budget food. The boots are quality with famous names associated with them. Feel free to try them on before you purchase. The store is basically what you make of it. I was looking for Native American dolls and having found a few noticed that they were not authentic. I adore this place! I've been wanting to invest in a pair of nice cowboy boots for long time and…read moredecided this was the best place to do it. Their selection is staggering, with rows and rows of boots for men women and children. Some boots are better suited for work, some more fashionable, but they're all high quality with a good range of price points. The pairs I was eyeing ranged from $143 to $260, but they did have pairs for upwards of $400. The store was clean, well stocked, and well organized with friendly and helpful staff. I had no trouble finding my size for most of the boots I tried on. The shop offers lots of other items besides boots including suede fringe jackets, furs, leather, hats, sandals, jewelry, candles (Smell These Nuts - it smells amazing), weather treatments for the boots, lollipops with worms and scorpions in them, as well as nick knacks and souvenirs. I ended up leaving with a beautiful pair of boots from the Corral company and a pair of silver earrings with coral and turquoise. I didn't get a chance to weatherproof them before my darling boyfriend decided to drag me through the bottom of the hill on headliner night at Jamboree in the Hills. Ahem. We are still together, but I did spend about 30 minutes lovingly cleaning them to restore them to their luster, and these are some durable boots. I wish this place was close to me, I'd definitely go broke here :)

Wheeling is poppin' off with the food halls all around town. Centre Market is probably the biggest…read moremarket in the area, but it ain't even the only one. Do West Virginians love their food halls? Maybe so. Centre Market has the famous Coleman's Fish Market, plus a second location of Tito's Sloppy Doggs (called Tito's in the Market House), a cheese shop and Michael's Beef House, home of the original roast beef sandwich. There's a building that's not physically connected but still part of Centre Market, and it houses a coffee shop, a hand-pie bakery, an ice cream shop and an art gallery. This part of Centre Market also has comfy couches and games to play, so if you're looking for an area to hang out and stay a while, this part of Centre Market is your spot. I love a good food hall, and Centre Market is a good place to visit if you're looking to find something to eat but don't know what you want. There's something for everyone here, and it's all local, which is great.

On a Thursday afternoon the market area was mostly empty and desolate, but the vendors who were operating were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Makes me sad that Wheeling used to be THE city in which to see and be seen. We bought a few sweets and sausages from local vendors and I am sure I could have spent WAY more money here. The building reminds me of the marketplace in Charleston SC on a much smaller scale. I hope these vendors can make it and I wish them a major boost of life and vitality. Everything about Wheeling: the number of Victorian homes, the historic businesses, and the centre market have so much offer, if only a little love continues to go into downtown.

The stores sell accessories, clothing, footwear, electronics, furniture, craft supplies, home decor, home-improvement products, pet supplies, video games, chocolates, etcetera. The stores are definitely not upscale (e.g., Best Buy, Cabela's, JCPenney, Kohl's, Menards, Old Navy, Target, and Walmart), but they sell what local people need. The restaurants serve cuisines such as burgers, fried chicken, pizzas, Mexican foods, Japanese foods, steaks, ice creams, etcetera. Most restaurants are chains (e.g., Bob Evans, Eat 'n Park, Fusion Steakhouse, Jimmy John's, Primanti Bros., and Texas Roadhouse), and all have a casual atmosphere. Service businesses provide healthcare, nail and hair styling, cell-phone plans, banking, etcetera. Entertainment includes a movie theater, simulated golf, and a sports complex. Over the past several years, I have visited this shopping center multiple times. It is conveniently located for people who live near Wheeling city, Eastern Ohio, or Southwestern Pennsylvania and for people who are traveling through the area.
