A friend and I stopped in for mani/pedis. We were able to bring wine in with us and they provided clean glasses. The experience and service was very good and worth the price. I thought cost seemed average compared to other places I have been. I liked the massage chairs and scrub they used. MOST IMPORTANTLY ...I left a very expensive watch there that has sentimental value to me. I live 1000 miles away. I called and they said they would hold it for me. My friend collected it when she travelled there a month later and they wouldn't accept a tip. I'm astonished at this level of honestly, ethics and decency. Thank you so much. Got my nails done on Wednesday for 65 dollars + 5 Dollar tip. One of my nails popped off on Friday while I was zipping up my purse.(Obviously not applied well) Went to get it fixed and they said they were "out" of the original color I got. Gave me different color when I asked him to fix the other nails to make them match since they were out of my original color and I had an event coming up. They told me it would be 20 more dollars. I refuse to pay 90 dollars in total for a set of nails that were done bad didn't stay in at all and weren't even shaped good. Now my pointer finger clearly doesn't match my other fingers. I will go elsewhere next time. Update on Sunday 6 nails had popped off I ended up popping the rest off my Monday at noon... didn't even have to soak them like I normally would they legit just fell off... if there was a zero star button I would give that. read more

I've been going to the nail bar for six months and have been extremely satisfied with how my nails look , cost ,the amount of time spent getting them done and how much time I have between fillins . I usually go in on Monday since that's my day off. I went in this afternoon expecting to see my usual tech but he wasn't there. This visit to The Nail Bar was a total nightmare !!! I am totally traumatized! I arrived at 5:30 PM and was the only customer in the place until closing. I was directed where to sit and the gentleman came over almost immediately and I showed him a picture of the nail design that I wanted and he said "OK that's what you want, I can do it" I replied yes I'm going on a Disney World vacation with my family that's when the design is so important. He begin applying my nails and then when it was time to polish them he did so with ease then as soon as he started to paint the simple designs all confidence was lost ! After 10 tries and another nail tech later I was so anxious My ears were ringing, my heart was pounding outta my chest and I was on the verge of crying! All of the other mail techs were talking loudly all around me they had turned out the lights and was ready to go home I was not happy . The third and final tech that came to my "rescue "or so I thought ... finished the job and persistently told me how great my nails looked and how it was going to be so expensive. I was just sick of it and wanted to leave from there! My nails resembled the pic that I showed them but I also like a five year old painted them ! When I got to the front to pay "the man in the fur coat" he said there was so much detail that it was going to be $90 !!!! I will never ever go back there again $90 !!!! IT WAS HORRENDOUS. I repeat. Horrendous. Nail Bar is horrendous. I regret everything. Oh my gosh. I felt like I could have been on Candid Camera... They did NOT speak English. The man doing my nails (gel manicure) literally DID NOT speak English, and whenever he needed to tell me to switch my hand or anything, this other girl had to say it for him. It was filthy in there. Stains everywhere - on the counters, chairs, rags...you name it. It was stained. They hurt me over and over, and were extremely rough the whole time. They didn't use cuticle oil, and they had me soak my hands in cold water, then sprayed my WHOLE hand(s) with rubbing alcohol. They didn't use a bonding agent, and when I asked them about it, they said something ridiculous acting like it wasn't necessary...I still don't think they actually understood me. They barely used any top coat, and my nails look dull now. Even when I asked for more top coat, they didn't understand me so they didn't do it. The man doing my nails kept getting polish on my skin, and he would nearly cut my cuticles every time he would use his nail to scrape the excess polish off. The hand massage at the end was so fast, and I'm literally in pain now. They had nasty, stained rags. They were EXTREMELY unprofessional the whole time. One of the other men working was all but sexually harassed another female customer - asking her if she had kids, and then asking her why not. He said something in a very suggestive tone like, "Just waiting on the right guy?" She was clearly uncomfortable, and said "Something like that," and walked away. So awkward and rude. Another girl who worked there kept getting right in my personal space and watching him do my nails. Then, she proceeded to show me some random internet article that featured graphic photos of botched plastic surgeries as she was browsing on her phone. Like WHAT?!?! It was near closing time, and none of the other employees were doing anything - when there were things that clearly needed to be done. And, some loud and obnoxious TV show was on. They kept talking in another language and laughing. They didn't understand anything I said. Anything... It's also way overpriced. Wow. I was in way too deep before I could leave. I've 100% been going to Polished since they opened (the absolute BEST nail salon in Jackson, and one of the best I've ever been to), but I was desperate tonight, and they were already closed so that is the only reason I chose to try Nail Bar tonight. Again, I regret EVERYTHING. 0/10 would NOT recommend Nail Bar to ANYONE. Stay far, far away from Nail Bar. I wonder how in the world they are still in business! Go to Polished instead! --- Update: I went to Polished in Jackson the next day (my fave who I am so sad I betrayed because I was desperate for a mani when they were closed). They definitely came to the rescue! Buffed my nails and added a fresh coat of the same red polish and then topcoat! Actual topcoat. Finally. It looks perfect, and they only charged me $8. I will never go to this place again. I got a full American set and a pedicure. My nails look like crap. My thumb nail cracked a day after and 2 nails popped off after 3 days. The nail tech did my nails too quick and thin, it looks as if I need a fill. Then the owner or manager painted my toes. Worst paint job ever! They have already chipped badly. We have been long time customers of Leo at the Nail Bar, but the last 3 times that we have been there , we have been overcharged. Leo was not there and the girl running the register tried to charge us for 3 pedicures and two gel nail sets. She did not understand English or she acted as if she did not understand. We only got 2 pedicures ( 1 gel & 1 regular) , one acrylic gel manicure and one fill-in . They charged us $175.00. We will not go back there. read more

Can I give a zero stars? The very worst experience I have ever had. Leo wanted me to stick my hands in dirty acetone. Yes. There was debris at the bottom of the bowl. I asked for them to be wrapped instead. He pulled out these plastic nail cups instead of foil. He had to pick used cotton balls out of them before he could use them. He proceeded to cut my nails before the dip had been taken off and managed to break my natural nail below the quick. I spoke up and told him he hurt me. He asked me if I wanted tips. I recently moved to Jackson. Overall I was very happy with my experience here. The 4 Stars are because I waited over an hour for my pedicure. It turns out they are very busy all the time because of the skilled artists like the owner. Personally I don't do nail art but apparently NB is the place to go if you do. Susu did a wonderful job on my pedicure and massage. I have no complaints. She was very sweet and made sure I was comfortable. I had Lillian thread my eyebrows. I am so glad I found her here! Very disappointing experience. My manicurist was quite and friendly, however her skills were certainly lacking. Went in for a shellac manicure, lots of color choices, great. unfortunately I ended up with polish caked around my cuticles, along the sides of my nails and uneven color on my nail bed. A nice young lady, but definitely needs more practice. Nails chipping less than a week later :(. Husband seriously asked if I had let our 10 yr old daughter paint my nails....Ugh! NO! DONT GO HERE! I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star if I didn't have to! NEVER again will I go to this place. I actually live out of state now, and I am in for the holidays. I get a lot of manis and pedis, and I've never had an issue with polish chipping ONE DAY after getting them done. I got my nails done 2 days ago (Saturday) with my mom who also got a manicure as well.. Moms nails were fine but mine chipped the next day, went back in today (Monday) to see if they would at least fix my nails with a different color polish that doesn't chip and they wanted to charge me the full price again!! They offered to fix them with the same polish but what good would that have done..? Just so they would chip again? Ridiculous! I have been to so many different nail salons in Jackson, and this is by far the worst customer service I've ever had with a nail salon. I've had better manicures for better prices.
