Ordering delivery from here hasn't been a good experience for me. The last couple of times the steak portions seemed old and undercooked with some peices having grizzled cartilage in them. They also charge 35 cents for small sauces that used to be free. The food was utterly disgusting. I ordered hibachi steak and shrimp., with my steak prepared medium. They over cooked my steak and shrimp to the point where it was inedible. I eat here at least 100 times a week (kind of kidding, kind of not ). I always order before I get there so that I can use the drive up window. The food is always yummy!! I get the same thing every time: Jumbo Shrimp Hibachi add mushroom and I recommend it to everyone. However, my family and friends whom I have so freely shared this gem of a spot with get other items and everything is always on point. If ever there is a mix up with you order, they will make it right! Additionally, the staff is so friendly! So leave them a tip!! Enjoy! Hibachi chicken and rice... chicken was a bit dried out, which is a bit odd, since it was cooked to order. You order at the counter, then sit down. If you put your tip on your card-- it goes into to owners pocket, not the staff, so please use cash for your tip. Shrimp sauce is very good; seemed freshly made. Parking is tricky as folks are in and out of the lot for takeout, and it is small. Bathroom is passable. Food was ready quickly. read more

I find this place underrated. Is it the best hibachi you can get? Well, no. But it is great food and the price is something to keep in mind. For what you pay, it is wonderful. It's great takeout if you're on a budget and are tired of Chinese. I personally eat off the appetizer menu. They're shrimp tempura and fried oysters are amazing. read more

Not what we were expecting for a place advertised as a Japanese Steak House. It is set up like a fast food place - you order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. We had three playes of sushi and one (small) plate of calamari. They did not have marinara sauce for the calamari and the sushi was just so-so. This place doesn't look like much on the outside but is pretty clean on the inside and nicely decorated. The food is cheap. Maki rolls are less than $4. I like taking the kids to these kinda places...they don't know the difference between great and decent. This place is decent. The maki rolls were pretty good, although I don't like the huge chunk of cucumber that a lot of the lower priced places use in lieu of chopping it up. It overwhelms the roll. But I digress, lol. I really never write reviews but I simply must speak my peace about what happened tonight at Nagoya. My wife and I stopped in after 9 onto order something for take-out. I paid with a debit card, signed the receipt, and waited for the food. When the food was ready, the young girl who took our order asked me, "Did you put the tip in the tip jar?" Not knowing how to respond to such a ridiculous question, I simply said no. She then said, "Well next time just slide it across the counter because we don't get tips, the management gets them". I have many problems with this situation but mainly I don't tip someone for taking my order behind the counter. Basic Customer service is SUPPOSED to be part of the price. If I am waited on beyond taking my order I will tip based on the quality of the service. It's unbelievable how our culture has raised a generation of entitled brats. read more

Stopped in today and it was brutal. Register worker was very cold. We ordered from lunch specials...teriyaki filet steak, steak and chicken and shrimp teriyaki. When the filet arrived, it was over cooked, tough and tasted really funky. All three meals were very odd, almost spoiled tasting. Between here, Murasaki, and Sakura I'd say that Nagoya has the best hibachi chicken and shrimp sauce out of them all. Along the same price line as Sakura's but definitely cheaper than Murasaki. The worst sushi I have ever eaten. I took my son here to grab something to go. I realize it's considered, to me at least, "fast food" as far as their sushi goes. However, the sushi they serve in the case at Publix is much better than this. It was hard and gooey, it couldn't possibly be hand rolled in house. The service at first was fine. The first girl took my order quickly and correctly. When the order was ready the service was quite different. The second girl just set my bag on the counter. The waitress with dark hair, shoulder tattoo and a tongue ring was hostile and rude (apparently they spend more time getting paid to text rather than serve quality food). The food is nothing great and if I had a lot of extra time on my lunch break I would have went to the other side of town and had FUJI. The food there has far better quality, better taste and the service there is outstanding. If I could plaster a neon sign in front of this horrid establishment to help others steer clear I would. Y'all, my husband and I just had the WORST DINING EXPERIENCE we have had in a long time. This is a bit long so bear with me. On his work break we decided to go to Nagoya on hwy 81. We havent been therw in over a year, because last time I went the food was not that great. We usually go to Sakura or Nagoya on Clemson Blvd. He got there first, and ordered what we get anytime we go to a hibachi place....a hibachi chicken plate and a hibachi steak plate. I got there, and when our food was brought out, there was a hibachi chicken plate, and a childs size plate of steak. When the cashier was questioned, her response was "Well you ordered a side of steak, not a plate." My husband, a bit frustrated, said "no ma'am, I ordered two plates." She argued with him for a few seconds, then said "Well, you'll have to come to the regiater and fix it because we didnt charge you for it and that's not what you ordered." Keep in mind, my husband is on a time limit. He said "don't worry about it, u dont have time now." While he started eating, I headed up to the register to order some rice and veggies to go with his steak. While standing there in line (about 4 people were in line and no one was at the register) I heard the same woman say in the back "well shes just gonna have to wait because that's not what he ordered and he tried to tell me he did order it." She could clearly be heard at the front of the restaurant. I ignored the comment, ordered the food, and sat back down. During all this, one of the cashiers continually went to sit with her significant other, who was eating there as well. In between leaving the counter and making sure her SO had everything he wanted, the other customers were neglected. While we were eating, we heard this same woman say extremely loudly "this woman is getting on my nerves, if she doesnt PICK UP I am HANGING UP!!!" when i crave hibachi (insert fav combination), i typically just go wherever is closest. swung by this place tonight and ordered take out for my wife and i...the food was good but nothing special. what really got me was the customer service, or lack there of. the girl that took my order (who looked like she just rolled out of bed) blatantly acted as if I were bothering her by ordering food here. then as I waited, the other gal (who looked just as uninterested) asked me 'what did you order'? guess there was a mix up. The food is usually really good and very reasonably priced. It's bland compared to most Chinese or Japanese take out but the steak hibachi is fresh and cooked to order which you don't always get with Japanese take out. Both the hibachi and teriyaki styles are good but I prefer the hibachi. The sushi is nothing to get excited about but is OK as an appetizer.
