The staff are always friendly and more than helpful. On my first visit, she ordered blood work and said she thought my neck looked a little "thick", so she ordered a thyroid ultrasound. (I am on thyroid medicine already for hypothyroidism). She was so personable, and so easy to talk to, and it was the first time in a long time that I enjoyed seeing a doctor. I was pleased to find out that Dr. Akey does bioidentical hormone therapy, since I am already receiving them from a different doctor, and she is right on board and again, easy to talk to regarding this topic. After my blood work results, she recommended some needed supplements, and as it turns out, there was a small nodule on my thyroid that we are keeping an eye on. What followed was some of the best healthcare we have ever received anywhere. She was seen by Barbara Jean Williams who immediately showed concern and identified her illness through testing and examination to be Type A Flu, dehydration, a sinus infection, fluid behind her ears, fever and sharp internal pains and severe anorexia from her illness. Dehydration was an immediate concern and we were so thankful they treated Karen in the office and did not pawn us off to a Gainesville Hospital Emergency Room which would have completely wiped Karen out. The office was quite busy at the time. At one point 3 nurses were assisting in her treatment, all were very professional, compassionate and considerate. We spent a total of 4 hours in the office being diagnosed and treated. I was not allowed to take her home until I emphatically understood the dangerous nature of her sickness and treatments being prescribed. The diagnosis and treatments were spot on, we followed all our instructions and got past the critical stage and continue to slowly improve. Thank you for the excellent diagnosis and treatment to the staff, we will certainly be back.

My family member came after a car crash and thankfully she's ok but she waited hours for CT scan and then more hours to see a doctor. She came in at 4pm and did not leave til 2am. I had to order Jimmy John's for our dinner at around 9:45pm. As she waited her face continued to swell up and nothing was offered for her pain. There is a constant lying between nurses and front desk of when you will be seen. They do not even know themselves and have no order. I saw the same lady be brought into the lobby then back inside about ten times. While there i noticed so much of the lack of care they have. I don't know how many times we had to tell each nurse who saw us that we were there for 10 total hours and they did not even react. The bathrooms are disgusting. This place is extremely unhygienic. I came on here to see if our experience was an off day for them but crazy to see this dates back 5+ years of absolute no order. I cannot believe that they also yell out your personal information by intercom so the whole room can hear your medical information. This is a HIPA violation as well all know but apparently this place is a joke. There is no empathy or humanity from the nurses .
