We were checked in quickly, and they were not that many people in the waiting room…read more They took him back pretty quickly and put an IV in his arm and drew some blood for a panel. They were obviously busy behind the double doors because every hour a PCA would come to the waiting room and take vitals. After about 4 hours in the waiting room they called me back and asked me not to be mad but they lost mine and other patients' bloodwork. After a total of 9 hours I was called back and told they only have 1 of 3 CT scans working and had a CT scan performed. After 10 hours I was told I would need to be admitted and have surgery because my CT results were concerning. Waiting for surgeons to come by to talk bit no one, then a few hours later I was told "Oh, sorry, we re-reviewed your CT results and they are not concerning, the Radiologist re-read the CT scan and changed the diagnosis. So we finally got out of there. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the doctor was super. the processes I had to go thru to get seen is why I am rating as a 2. There may be other emergency centers close by, but we are not familiar with the.

I was wheeled on a bed lined up against a wall in a hallway for a good amount of time before they put me in a room with a bunch of other patients. The staff was loudly laughing and joking the whole t8me I was there, no sense of self awareness. Nothing to do but lay down and sleep. I kept asking when the doctor would see me to evaluate me, and they said they thought he already had. They forgot about me. It made me realize that not even people who went to medical school care enough to be professional with their patients. When my mom visited me, the woman by my bedside (who worked there) said she doesn't recommend patients coming to Shands. This place made me wish my attempt had worked. Absolutely awful and heartbreaking experience. Do better. If I could give zero, I would.

Call up billing, they admit tcvi cancelled/not my responsibility. 30 days later, same bill with collection warning- So now I have to get legal, asnd maybe stand outside their offices with FRAUD billing and let EVERY PERSON WALKING IN TO TCVI KNOW THEIR BS BILLINGS! Just hope that you don't need to return for a Dr. visit to discuss results and plan. The scheduling desk is non communicative with the rest of the facility and its protocols. I am having shortness of breath and have side effects from the meds I am on and the best they could do is schedule me an appointment 4 months from now. The Dr. wanted to see me 1-2 weeks following the test. Oh and I will run out of meds. They don't seem to care. Go elsewhere if you can.

Shands Cardiology should be ashamed. Nov. 14 my 82 yr old…read moremother had a standard ECG done. Before she was even home, she received a call from her Cardio main doctor saying they needed to discuss the results of the tests and he would call back. Nov. 17th, my mom sent him a message stating she has not heard back. Nov 27th my mom sent another message stating no one has called her regarding the tests results. She told me about this on Dec. 2nd, I researched the medical report that was sent to us and according to what I found, Torrential regurgitation of the tricuspid means surgery. We shared the tests with family, who are doctors and they said based on what the test report said surgery was needed. I called on Dec. 2nd was told someone would get back with us in 24-48 hours. I called on Dec. 5th, as no one had reached out, and was had an appointment set for Dec. 8th. Dec 8th was told by the nurse practitioner that based on what she was reading surgery was not needed but she would get in touch with the doctor that read the report and my mom's main doctor and have an answer to us by Friday 12th. On Friday 12th we received a "notes" from the appointment that occurred on Dec 8th with no mention of test results or conferring with doctors. The NP specifically said she would call back. Dec. 15th I called and asked to be put in touch with the highest person in the Springhill location office, was told an email was being sent to management with and elevated status and I would hear from someone within two hours. That was at 8 am this morning, it is now 1:45 pm and no one has responded to my request for a simple reading of test results that appear to require surgery, were important enough for the doctor to call the same day the test was done. Do better Shands!! Next step, I am not sure. I left a message at patience experience, supposedly that is the next step on the ladder but I don't have any faith in them at this point. Going to seek out a second opinion from Cardio Vascular Institute. Maybe they care about their patients.
