Whenever I called to check the status of the order I would get every excuse possible-someone was ill, it's softball season, we've been backed up, our printer stopped working. I understand things happen, but for a very small one-time order it should not have taken 4 months to complete it. I was extremely happy with the work they did but will never use them again.

CFU is the only option for residents in Cedar Falls for electric, gas, water and garbage pick up…read more But they also offer other services such as yard waste pick up, cable, internet and home phone services. I've been a customer for 11 years and have good experiences with them. They have always been very reliable with their services and the staff has been friendly and helpful when I've needed to contact them or make changes to their services. The internet they provide is the best you can get in the area. I've tried mediacom and have not been super pleased. It's nice to be able to get all the utility services from one place and only have one bill. They also offer budget billing. The staff in the office has been exceptional when I've needed to pick up a cable box or drop one off when I've decided that I didn't want cable any longer. The one service they don't offer is recycling pick up but with all the recycling bins around the area it's easy to find a location to drop off. There are also other local companies that you can use to have recycling picked up for a small fee. Recently CFU needed to upgrade my in house cable box and the technician was very kind and offered to wear a mask and wear shoe protectors in my home. Very professional.

I didn't know if I should leave it exposed or cut it off, one is at least 20 feet long. This was the first time I was not enthralled by CFU customer service. I asked again "so it's ok to just cut it off". He said again (do what you want it yours). I guess a wanted him to give me a (yes cuttting it off to get rid of unsightly wires is fine, they are not live wires,) His words were succinct and condescending. Oddly prior conversations were very helpful over the 60 some years as a customer. CFU must have told him not to waste his time on past CFU cable customers.

Makers of a first rate safe. Outstanding customer service…read more Each safe is made to order, the wait to get your safe will be months, not days or even weeks. Each safe is made in Iowa so you are supporting American jobs. The biggest benefit to their products is you can take the safe apart. Very key for those who move often, need to fit the safe in an unconventional space or for those who do not want people to know they have a safe. Business here is old fashioned. You call in, place your order and send a check. They do not have a method of ordering online and they do not accept credit cards. While they may do more business if you could order online and pay with a credit card, the wait would be even longer. With the wait time, it appears they are doing quite well. When you call, a person picks up the phone, not an answering machine. You are treated with the respect and dignity you would expect from a first class business.
