Their prices are unbeatable and they're frank with you about when your print job will be ready to pick up. So many other print shops seem to "hem and haw" when asked about a ready-by date. I look forward to returning to this shop with more complex projects in the future!

As soon as they picked up the phone I was met with a kind and accommodating person. When I went to the location I was shown the the entire process from beginning to end. Each and every one of their staff members was very knowledgeable. It genuinely felt like a family atmosphere. The print was ready in no time and the quality is far better than I could have hoped for. My three-star isn't because I couldn't find the item that I wanted. More so because my first impression was that of an employee sitting right outside the door on the concrete smoking a cigarette. At first I wondered if he was a bum sitting out there. But then I seen that he was wearing a name tag. I'm sure they have a back area loading dock area where he could've smoked instead. Otherwise he should've went and sat in his car and smoke. I didn't get greeted as I walked into the store but while I was looking for my paper punch Darlene came and asked me if she could help me find anything. So I did get customer service while I was in the store even though I didn't buy anything. I don't come here often because most of the office supplies that I need I can either buy online or at a store that's not so expensive. In the past I haven't gotten very good service at this Staples location. They don't normally have very much staff on hand but they also aren't very busy. Prices don't seem as competitive as if you buy items online or at stores like Walmart or target. I honestly don't see the Staples chain lasting for very many more years.

There was no one at check out, one over in the customer service area and one other person ignoring us with her back turned in that area. A couple people were frustrated with the long wait time (20-30 mins) and left. A worker walked by us (same one that was ignoring us) and we asked if someone was going to help us with our Amazon returns. She rudly said "Amazon is closed today" we just haven't taken down the sign yet. We asked if she could help us and she gave us a stiff "no, Amazon returns is closed". Someone asked if we could speak to a mananger and she said "I am the manger!" Haven't been back there since.

Upon reading the variety of paper they use, I instantly knew this was where I needed to go. There's such an attention to detail here and the owner, Liz, really knows her stuff. The shop is located in the back of Beadology on Washington in downtown Iowa City. I entered through the Beadology store and walked back through their crafting room - there's a cutesy paper sign outside of The Paper Nest's front door. I ended up buying a couple large sheets of paper here. Now that I've seen the space, met Liz, and seen her gorgeous letterpress work, I can hardly wait for the first opportunity I have to submit a letterpress order with her.
