Floors for Living - Extremely Disappointed and Still No Resolution…read more I don't normally write reviews, but I feel I have no choice after everything we've been through with Floors for Living. When our floors were first installed, I noticed they were already bowing up. I raised my concerns with the manager, explaining that the subfloor wasn't properly leveled. He reluctantly came out to inspect and assured me the floors were fine and covered under warranty if issues ever arose. At about a year and a half, the floors started to separate badly. The edges cracked and broke off, exposing sharp plastic that cut the feet of my 3- and 7-year-old children. The seams are now so raised that they pinch the bottom of your feet when stepped on. Despite the obvious safety hazard, no one from Floors for Living would respond until I physically went into the store. They eventually sent someone out--but it was just a subcontractor. He cut out a few planks from the middle of the floor, snapped some photos, and left. I never heard anything back. Later, a third-party inspector--sent by the flooring manufacturer, not Floors for Living (and without my knowledge)--came to inspect. He was professional and knowledgeable and ultimately confirmed exactly what I had said from the beginning: the subfloor wasn't properly leveled before installation. Since then, I've tried repeatedly to get answers. I've called and texted Adrian, who has done his best to help, but he's clearly not getting any support from management. I've been told for weeks that the District Manager, Sterling, would call me "tomorrow." That call has yet to come. The store manager, Adam, hasn't even reached out once. This entire experience has been frustrating and deeply disappointing. More importantly, it's unsafe. I would expect the safety of customers--especially children--would be a top priority. Sadly, based on my experience, that doesn't seem to be the case. Floors for Living, I'm still hoping for a resolution.

We hired a company to turn our bath and shower into a full walk in shower and it was a disaster from the get go. I finally terminated that contract and began searching for someone qualified to the major screw up. Charles with Vastine Remodeling responded in a few minutes and had a reasonable quote to me within 1 day. His team was extremely professional and friendly to my family and I. It wasn't long before you could consider these guys friends. They were awesome day in and day out, and worked nonstop until the job was complete. Carlos, the tiler, is an expert in his field. His attention to detail shows in every aspect of his work. From the way he carries himself, to the work he does, he is top notch! Cindy in the showroom was very attentive and helped throughout the entire process, from tile and grout selection, to ensuring we were in the know throughout the entire project. And the helpers were also professional and very helpful in ensuring a safe and clean workspace for them, and living space for us. Do not hesitate to give them a call! For honest, quality work, this is the team you want to bring your dream home to life...

Earlier this Spring we engaged Mr Miller's company Inside Outdoor to repair/replace an existing…read moreflagstone pathway in our backyard that was damaged beyond repair after Hurricane Harvey. Once the job was completed and all monies due were paid in full to Mr. Miller we realized that his crews had allowed concrete dust from the wheelbarrowed concrete they poured to stick to, and ultimately dry to the backside of our established decking and hot tub. Despite several efforts on our own to clean this area it was apparent that regrettably the concrete dust had dried and was not coming off. And that the deck would need to be re-stained/painted. We contacted Mr. Miller in late April to request he return and finish this and he initially agreed and asked that we purchase the proper stain for this job which we promptly did. Several weeks went by and it was clear that Mr. Miller had no intention of honoring his promise to make our deck right again, and we were forced to take on the job ourselves, spending most of the Memorial Day wknd and beyond repainting the impacted deck area. Subsequently, we made requests of Mr. Miller in the amount of $350 to cover time and materials it took to finish a job he had promised to do. He offered a settlement of $175 to which we countered back at $225 which we felt was sufficient to bring closure to this matter. Unfortunately, we've not heard further from Mr. Miller and it is now obvious he has no plans of settling this matter amicably. Thus, we are now forced to bring this matter to the attention of Yelp readers and other online social media to forewarn others who might wish to engage his services.
