Surprisingly spacious, glitzy Indian restaurant on the Bolton Road through Abbey Village. Bar area at the entry is functional - not very inviting but a nice enough place to wait whilst waiting on a carry out (errr provided someone else is driving to collect it!) or wait on a taxi at the end of the night. They have an extensive but not overfacing menus. All the classics are there along with some chefs specials. Each dish is marked with a chili rating to denote how spicy it is and our experience of 5 dishes, varying from no spice butter chicken to a naga special (yeow!). Our waiter was great - smiley and informative and only too happy to take (extensive) notes on our specific requirements (like the no spice butter chicken, veg biryani with no mushrooms... we are nightmare customers sometimes!). The bill for 5 of us came to £120 - that was poppodoms with mixed sauces, a curry each, 3 rice, 3 naan and 5 pints. Good value, I hope they do well and stick around as I want to be back next time I'm visiting my Mum! read more
