This is a great little food spot here in havelock which was much needed. What makes this place different is their white chili bean. It is soo good and I was not expecting soo much flavor. I highly recommend this place. They are very clean and I love that they ask if this is your first time. So they can guide through the menu. Finally got to go to the Nacho Shack storefront location last night, and was absolutely delighted! We ordered chicken chili nachos, and they were fantastic! The chip to chili/cheese ratio was perfect, everything was seasoned beautifully, and the portion size was just right for sharing. My son was a huge fan of the waffle fries as well. This place has absolutely blown me away. The food (I ordered nachos, chicken chili, and a lot of toppings) was the best I have eaten in this area in a long time. I am a decently well traveled "foody" type, currently my top spots around here are Cyrpress Hall, Mayte Sweets, and now this. I am still a little bit in shock by how great this place is. My only suggestion is to add more meat to the rice bowls, as there isn't much in them typically. I usually order delivery and they're pretty quick and we've never had any issues with their service. Found the food truck at "Carolina Home & Garden" Last week and I'm highly impressed. The staff were amazing, friendly and down to earth. Food came quick. The wife, son and i shared the smoked wings and let me tell you, for a restaurant called "Nacho Shack", they should really change their name to "The Wing Shack". Best wings I've had to date. My husband and I were camping at Flanners campground and didn't feel like cooking. We wanted something easy and someplace that would allow us to bring our dog. I had the nachos with chicken Chilli, cauliflower, cheese, tomatoes and cilantro. Best nachos ever! Originally I had planned to forego the Chilli in favor of just chicken. However, the young woman taking the order provided a sample of the brisket chili and I wad hooked. All three of the young women working were helpful and extremely kind. The owner was also very nice. Been a minute since I got somewhere new to write something about so it was nice to take this opportunity to have a go at it. My ride or Die took the trip from the Bern and headed east to Hevenot. Well, they have something with this gem. 5 stars for what it is and for here, it's about the food. I had the chicken Nachos where my partner had her rice bowl with Brisket. My Nachos were topped with sour cream and beef queso. I will say, the queso was a head turn for a second but was very complimentary. The wife's rice bowl was topped with beef queso, cabbage, cilantro, sour cream, green salsa and her guacamole. She was very please as well. Again, food was great. Want to give some feedback. If you are working with a customer, which is awesome so they have the best experience possible, do not neglect the rest behind them. The group in front of us seemed to be trying everything on the menu. The lady helping was very accommodating but at the same time, the 4 groups behind them including me were having a negative experience. Could have had someone jump in to keep things going. Please consider having some black beans available. Not refried but just have the beans. They would pair very well with the rice bowl. Last and this is nit picky. The napkins are too small. When your eating with your hands, better napkins should be offered or you end up using a ton. Last Last thing. Not sure if it was just us but tried the sauces on the table and the first taste that hits ya is the vinegar. Came pretty close to closing time and the staff was very energetic and polite waiting for me to figure the menu out and chose what I want, since it is the first time I had been here. After getting served (About a 10 minute wait) the food was hot, chips were crunchy and everything. The atmosphere was really nice too, loved the decorations and they have some cool merchandise to purchase as well. The biggest problem I had was the portion size vs the price (I pad 22$ for a very average sized nacho bowl and a drink ). I did have toppings which added to the price, interestingly enough nacho cheese adds to the price of nachos. I also got a pineapple tea, which was the best thing I have tried in a long time, only con to that was it was filled only 3/4 of the way and full of ice so I didn't get to drink too much. read more

The ambiance here was a bit confusing... they are selling food but also have karaoke going on that was extremely loud for the tiny space. The food is not worth the prices and the special $4 drink they sell tastes like raspberry lemonade koolaid. The service was sub par, everyone seems confused and disoriented. The best think they have going for them is the hot sauce that they advertise. I would not waste my money going here again. read more

Prices didn't match the menu items. Everything was overcharged on our receipt. I get it people make mistakes. When i told the little girl behind the counter she kept blowing it off saying yea we are in the process of changing our prices. I had to just about argue with her to make it right and thats when she decided to go get the owner/ manager. As the owner/ manager was trying to take care of my bill the little blonde girl behind the counter was telling her friend " lady I just work here" and she thought the whole ordeal was pretty funny. We literally paid over $30 dollars for 2 lunches. The girl that actually took our order was very pleasant. Maybe the blonde girl could possibly shadow the other girl for a while because she needs some serious training in customer service. read more
