I've been seeing Adam, my chiropractor, for ongoing care and I genuinely don't know where I'd be without his support. I live with lupus and fibromyalgia, and there have been times when I could barely move due to pain and stiffness. His adjustments have consistently helped me regain mobility and function when I've been at my worst. What stands out most is his holistic approach to care. Adam doesn't just focus on the immediate symptoms--he looks at the bigger picture of overall wellness. Over time, I've noticed improvements not only in my joint and muscle pain, but also in things like tension and what I personally experience as allergy-related discomfort after treatments. He takes the time to listen, adjust treatments to how I'm feeling that day, and genuinely cares about long-term improvement rather than quick fixes. His care has become an important part of how I manage my chronic conditions and maintain a better quality of life. I'm very grateful for his consistency, professionalism, and the way he supports my health journey as a whole. read more

Dr Adam is the best. I've been seeing him since 2018. He gives adjustments that instantly relieve built-up tension. I also like the pre-treatment devices. He is professional, approachable, and affordable. I see his practice as a neighbourhood gem. You can also book a sports massage at his facility, too. read more

After many years my chiropractor retired so I set off to find someone new. Dr Adam was pleasant, even a little quirky but most importantly I felt immediate relief after my adjustment. It was so good to find a doctor who used similar techniques as my last doctor. I'll definitely be recommending to others. Plus they have Saturday hours! read more

Adam Nachmias is not only a skilled practitioner but a gentle man of great kindness. His work is a gift to my back (scoliosis) and to my health generally. I deeply appreciate his care. His practice is ably supported by Chrystal and Leon. read more

Dr. Nachmias is the best chiropractor I've ever been to in my entire life. After years of recurring back pain due to the combined effect of scoliosis, carrying heavy textbooks in my book bags for years while in school, and a fall that hurt my back at age 15, I was desperate for relief and was convinced to go see a chiropractor by a friend who was tired of me constantly complaining about my pain. Dr. Nachmias struck me as a bit eccentric and unconventional at first, but make no mistake, he knows his craft really well and after having three adjustments I can confidently say that my back pain has been gone for a few years. I'm only leaving this review now because I actually miss going to the chiropractor and hearing the cracking sounds and experiencing the instant relief that comes from an adjustment. One day when I'm back in town I'll be sure to stop by to visit the best chiropractor there is. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Adam for 4 years. The pandemic and WFH turned my back into an everyday problem and Dr. Adam fixed it. I have been coming here for about 2 years now, and it's the only thing I can do to relieve my lower back pain from working at a desk all day - thank you so much Dr. Nachmias :) read more

My wife and I have been coming to Dr Nachmias for a while. He does an excellent job based on 2 dimensions: 1. He does a good job with the adjustments that need to be made and explains everything that is going on in detail and how it will help, etc. He also takes time to understand your daily life - do you sit at a desk, do you play sports, etc. At my first visit, he had me get x-rays of my neck so he could see what was going on in there. 2. He is very social and affable. He is very friendly and chatty. This is important because people get nervous when going to the chiropractor to get their back and neck snapped. His personality helps you calm down and relax before you get worked on. The other thing I like is that he has very good massage therapists working for him. It is important to match up a good massage therapist with the chiropractor as all the bones, ligaments and muscles work together. His office is conveniently located right outside the L1/2/3 stop at 14th Street (that connects to L/F/M/PATH 6th Ave stop), so the location is great, too. read more

Great chiropractor , very knowledgeable. Really pas attention to client's needs. Recommended highly

I've been seeing Dr. Nachmias for treatment for just over 5 years now. Back in 2015, when I first began treatment following a lower back injury, I was in constant pain. An initial X-ray showed that the base of my spine was very crooked, and the space between my disks was badly compressed. My neck also had poor posture, and equally compressed spacing. After a month or two of weekly adjustments and some stretching, I noticed a difference in the amount of pain as well as my range of motion. And after 5 years of consistent chiropractic adjustments (and exercize to strengthen my back), a new set of X-rays showed that my spine AND neck were perfectly straight, with greater spacing between disks. This treatment truly changed my life. He also employs some extremely skilled massage therapists who have helped tremendously with other injuries. Highly recommend this office! read more

When I first went to Dr. Nachmias I couldn't move my neck to one side and it was painful if I tried. I felt great relief after the first adjustment! I have continued to go for adjustments feeling noticeably better after each one. Dr. Nachmias gets my highest recommendation! read more

Seeing Dr Adam is a highlight of my week. His style of adjustments are different than I've had in the past (my last chiropractor always had my scans and X-rays pulled up and made my adjustments based on what he saw in those) but my spine and body have felt great since I started seeing him.He and his staff are kind and always have me laughing. They are also very flexible and make it easy to schedule appointments. read more

A friend of mine recommended this place and I love it. Dr. Nachmias and the staff are so accommodating and professional but also fun. Every time I go there I leave smiling. There are no waits at all. You go in, register and they take you in promptly. It's also affordable considering the service you get. Definitely recommended. read more

First of all, you cannot find a more personable and overall cool person to have as your chiropractor. He and his staff take care of you in a professional and efficient manner and the wait times are very minimal. Any tightness I'll have feels so much better after a visit here that you always leave better than when you came in to Dr. Nachmias.... oh , and did I mention that he is funny as hell, too? read more

My back had been bothering me for a while but like everyone I took two Tylenol and figured it would go away. OH, HOW WRONG I WAS! I woke up one morning, after a very uncomfortable night, and found I couldn't stand up straight and had to walk crooked to the bathroom. I was in agony! I found Dr. Nachmias from online doctor website and got an appointment rather quickly. The office is nice and very well run. The doctor himself was very laid back and very funny. But he was very serious when you tell him you're suffering. After my first visit. I had relief. After the second visit.....I was able to get up after a nights sleep with no pain and I was no longer walking crooked. I am so happy to have found this doctor. I can't say enough about him. I was so happy with him, I made an appointment for my son. He works out at the gym and every now and again he will lift a weight the wrong way and throw his back out. No worries. Dr. Nachmias to the rescue. I have sent other family members to him. I highly recommend Dr. Nachmias as he can and will help you. When your back goes out there is no pain on earth like that. And you can't do anything, it hurts to sit, walk, lay down it's a nightmare. But after visiting Dr. Nachmias things are so much better. Do yourself a favor and let Dr. Nachmias take your pain away. Also, another good thing....his office does message and his office has really nice photos around too. Book an appointment online at his website or call. You will not be sorry and say goodbye to your pain. read more

I came to Dr. Nachmias for lower back pain due to a sports injury that was keeping me from doing just about everything (I could hardly walk). Dr. Nachmias was able to help me with alignment issues that solved the problem almost immediately!! I went from struggling to walk to being back on the field in less than a week and I've felt great ever since. I currently go in for adjustments roughly once a month to keep my back aligned properly. It's very easy to schedule / move appointments when needed. The office has great communication and always sends a reminder when you have an appointment coming up. I'd highly recommend Nachmias Chiropractic! read more

Dr. Adam is one of the kindest and best chiropractors out there. Extremely knowledgeable in his field and the adjustment itself takes under 10 minutes. The in-house masseuses are also top notch. The staff is kind and considerate as well. Worth the regular visit to keep your body aligned. read more

Amazing for adults and children!!! I am very grateful that I found Dr Adam. Visiting now has become routine and feels like we are visiting loving family. He has helped correct neck and back injuries for adults, and has been intricate in relieving neck aches, headaches, and maintaining proper alignment for my young kids during remote learning! We have also noticed allergy relief after being treated!! Thank you! My youngest child wants me to also post that he "was in a very bad spot after sitting in front of a computer screen all the time, was getting headaches, and was not able to move (his) neck up and down without hurting. After his first treatment, he was able to move his head more and looks forward to visiting Dr Adam because he always feels so much better afterwards. Thank you so much Dr Adam" read more

I've been seeing Dr. Adam for almost seven years now, and he consistently provides the best and friendliest care. I've needed chiropractic services since I was sixteen and had bounced around to many doctors before finally finding Dr. Adam. He's not only incredibly knowledgeable in his practice, but he also is so fun to see. I always look forward to our appointment days and leave not only feeling better in my neck and back, but also in a better mood than when I went in. He's just the best, I feel so lucky for having found him. read more

Jameelah was my masseuse for me back in August 2018. She was AMAZING! I work as an accountant and I am always sitting straight up and my back is always tense. Jamilla used baby gel oil and massaged my body where I wasn't ticklish but very relaxed. She even held very good conversation, and if you want to sleep she will let you. I loved it and I am going back soon! read more

I've been going to Nachmias Chiropractic for 7 years and Adam has truly changed my quality of life. I had scoliosis surgery when I was a teen and as a result my body constantly goes out. Without Adam putting me back together I would be in constant pain. He's great at adjustments but also the philosophy of chiropractic and always does such a great job explaining to me what he's doing and why. I highly recommend him. read more

I love coming here and getting adjusted! I always walk out feeling 10 times better! Amazing people!

Dr. Nachmias is the absolute best! He's gentle, kind and super intelligent. An adjustment with him is always the best part of my month and I would highly recommend him for anyone with chronic neck pain. read more

Have been going to Dr. Nachmias for around 2 years; he's basically like seeing a good friend, who also happens to know how to adjust your spine very well! Each treatment starts with ~10 minutes on either the stretching machine or electric pads...nice and relaxing, then the adjustment happens. He's a great guy and a great chiropractor - highly recommend! read more

I've been coming to Dr. Adam for 3 years now and couldn't recommend him enough! I was initially nervous to see a chiropractor but he quickly put me at ease and I now routinely come every other month to get adjusted in order to keep my frequent back pain at bay and enhance my overall health and immune system. The stretching and electric stimulation therapies + chiropractic massages are great too! read more

I chose Dr. Adam for my husband back when he was my boyfriend... He is a journeyman carpenter standing at 6'4" and was always having back trouble due to the manual labor he puts himself through on a daily basis. To keep things short and sweet Dr. Adam was able to save my husband from getting back surgery and I love him for that. As far as my back... I had very little to no pain prior to pregnancy... Now that I'm entering my second trimester my back has extra weight to carry and was constantly cramping prior to seeing Dr. Adam. I saw him about a week ago and he was able to preform a pre natal adjustment on me that left me feeling the best I have in over three months. Not to mention the prenatal massage he referred me to... I'm am so thankful I read these same Yelp reviews and chose him myself. He is a huge relief to my little family.! Also on that note, his office is a little mom and pop type near the west village. Very old school New York. When you walk in you'll feel like you're part of the family... So if you're looking for fancy shmancy snobby Manhattan business doctor DONT go here because what you'll find is a cozy little office with a sweet team who will take care of you on a first name basis and keep you healthy.! read more

When it comes to pain or discomfort in your back him and his staff will make sure you are well taken care of.

I have been going to chiropractors all my life since my Dad took me to one at age 11, and will go forever! I've seen people who are book smart, but bad clinicians and visa versa. Dr. Nachmias is an all around great clinician who accomplished in one session what normally requires 3 or 4 visits to achieve the same. Since I retired a year ago I was a little scared that I was deteriorating with age (haven't told him this yet) After my session I was so relaxed and felt so robust! I wasn't sure if I could achieve these feelings again. The stiffness in my back was gone, and anywhere else it occurs intermittently. Everyone in the office was professional, very friendly, and it's been quite a long time since I found a chiropractor that made me feel this good. Leonard Bard read more

I've been seeing Dr. Adam for a few years now, and I cannot put into words how amazing my experience has been each and every visit. He's one of the nicest guys, and he's the best at what he does. I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. I cannot recommend him enough! read more

Most chiropractors have a bad reputation because they figure out how many appointments your insurance will allow and then somehow your treatment plan magically requires the same number of allowable visits and then has you in their office every two hours for the next two weeks. NOT HERE! I saw the doctor with some significant pain and discomfort, he knew exactly what I needed, gave me an adjustment, helped me stretch, and sent me on my way with instructions to return in about two weeks or sooner if required. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and courteous. I don't even live near the clinic but am willing to travel way out of my way to be a patient here. Way to go!!! read more

Adam is great and you can tell he really cares about his clients. I've been seeing him for about a month and a half and I've already noticed so much improvement to my lower back. I've been to chiropractors before, but really Adam took the time to get to know my symptoms and accurately diagnose where my lower back pain was coming from. He listens to his clients and has really helped me with my lower back pain. I have so much more mobility and am not living in a constant state of pain and discomfort. In such a short amount of time, Adam has been able to relieve pain that I was living with for years. I highly recommend him to anyone! read more

"I am going to be in pain for the rest of my life." That's what a said to my husband four weeks after my injury. The pain was horrible. I had been doing a split - something that always came easy and naturally to me - when I felt a sudden electric shock-like pain shoot through the right side of my body. Figuring it was a muscle strain, I did all the things one does: Rest, Ice, Elevation... No good. Sitting was torture and I couldn't walk more than two city blocks without a pause. Standing on a crowded subway train? Talk about a new level of hell! The pain was even making it hard to concentrate at work. Nothing was getting better and I felt pretty hopeless. I found Dr. Nachmias through my insurance and, after reading a few reviews, I thought I'd give chiropractic medicine a try. Best decision I've made in a long time! The office was quite busy, but cheerful and friendly. Dr. Adam came out to introduce himself and check on the appointments throughout my brief wait - very attentive and personable. When he met with me he could tell my right hip was not in the correct position and - after my first consult, an initial chiropractic adjustment, and a session of gentle electric therapy - sent me for x-rays to review on my next visit. My leg felt a small improvement after the first session - but it was after the second visit that I really felt a really big change- for the better! Chiropratic treatment isn't a "quick fix" - it's a therapy that offers long term benefit with regular care. And - with a physician as thoughtful, skilled, and concerned for the well-being and comfort of their patients as Dr. Nachmias - this is a boon, not a burden! While I'd happily take back the events that lead to my leg injury, I feel fortunate to have discovered the benefit of chiropractic and - especially - Dr. Nachmias! I wish all health care practitioners were even half as welcoming and professional! read more

I have absolutely loved seeing Dr. Nachmias! He is super friendly and funny, and he makes everyone in the office feel like a friend. He does an excellent job explaining his work so that I feel comfortable and understand what is going on, and the adjustments leave me feeling like a new person. Highly recommend to everyone! read more
