I've been seeing Dr.Goodman for 2 months and am now on a 1x a month scheduled visit. I recommend seeing her as she's very gentle and easy to talk to. My dad was a Chiro but sadly passed away when I was in college. Since then I've dreaded finding a new chiro, but I'm so glad I found her. I've been seeing Dr. Goodman for about a year now and I highly recommend her. Thanks to her treatments, I've had a major reduction in the chronic neck pain and migraines that I've been suffering from for almost ten years. First, Dr. Goodman is genuinely friendly and takes the time to listen to what's going on with your body. She gives you a full, focused block of time for your treatment, so it never feels rushed. She's very knowledgable about the body & alignment and her technique is very gentle, but effective. I also like that she explains exactly what she is doing so that you feel at ease. Prior to seeing her, I had a couple of negative and painful experiences with chiropractors who were very heavy handed, and my symptoms were worse after their adjustments. She's the total opposite-- I always feel much better when I walk out her her office. In addition to having less neck pain, I also get less migraines, and they are less severe. I used to suffer from migraines 3-4 times a month and since seeing her, the frequency has dropped down to 1-2 per month. Her treatments have made me a total proponent of chiropractic care! I have been to more than my share of chiropractors. Cindy is truly among the best I've ever worked with. She listens carefully to what you're dealing with, and examines you with that same listening. Some chiropractors, like many physicians, don't pay attention in that way, and just start treating you. Like so many of us, I'm usually bad about taking care of myself until I'm in over my head, so as is my way, I went back to Cindy in excruciating pain. I had forgotten how easy it could be to feel better. Her gentle treatment brought so much relief, and subsequent treatments have me up and running. And she doesn't do that crazy thing that some chiropractors do, convincing you that everything wrong with you starts with your spine and you need to see them twice a week forever. I think a lot of people are a little nervous at the prospect of seeing a chiropractor at first, but Dr. Goodman eases your discomfort immediately. Not only is she kind, communicative and makes you feel right at home, she seems to be one of those doctors who truly understands why going to any doctor can be stressful and scary. To be perfectly honest, I hate going to the doctor, period; let alone one who, in my mind, was going to walk on my spine, or whatever cartoonish image of chiropractors I was harboring. Within minutes of lying on her table, I felt like I was just chatting with a friend about why my back hurt and I was completely at ease. She manages to exude "total and complete expert" without being intimidating or overbearing. Then she got started, expertly working on all the parts of my neck and upper back that hurt. She felt around for knots and confidently decided how to manage them, whether it was through massage, the traditional chiropractor crack (which, at least in her care, is not scary or painful in the way I'd envisioned) and then suggested ongoing best practices to avoid more pain. I can turn my neck back and forth now, which I didn't even know I couldn't do until after a couple of session with her when I got my mobility back. I threw out my back in a lifting accident, causing lots of pain and my posture to become very twisted. After only one visit with Dr. Goodman, a lot of my pain receded and my posture improved dramatically. Traditionally, I've been very skeptical about alternative medicine, but Dr. Goodman is such a pleasant person to be around, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'd slept poorly for a few nights and had a very stiff neck; nothing an MD would really care to help relieve, in my opinion, so I went to see Dr. Goodman. She is not an imposing figure which makes it much less intimidating. After a few gentle cracks and pops, my neck definitely increased its range of motion by at least 50%. She gave me a few tips for stretching and body alignment and in a few days I was back to my old self. She is the only Chiropractor I've seen but the experience was very positive so I don't know why I'd try anyone else. read more

I was in NY for a few days visiting family and unfortunately threw my back out the morning of the trip. In pain & unable to walk upright, I called Dr. Goodman's office & spoke to Hope. She was very empathetic and helpful and even though I was a new patient, she managed to find a way to slot me in to the schedule that afternoon. I met with Dr. Goodman and she was outstanding. She took the time to understand my problem. Then worked on my back and gently adjusted it. My hopes going into the appointment was just to reduce the pain a little to help me through the next few days. Instead, she was able to rectify the misalignment completely and I was able stand upright, with little to no pain, before leaving her office. I was then able to enjoy the next several days which included a lot of walking with no issue at all. Dr.Cindy is such a find. I've always been weary of chiropractors...maybe I should say scared. But on the advise of a friend I went to her when my neck was out and it was super effective. Also, my favorite thing about her is how sensitive she is to fear. Not everything is a huge crack. She really moderates force so she can do low velocity adjustments too.
