I am the network administrator for a mutual customer. Our mutual customer purchased a camera…read moresystem from them, and they refused to fix an access problem with their system and instead wanted to blame everyone else for problems with their setup. When this system was first setup, the administrative password was requested in case of problems, but refused with a bogus excuse about a warranty (that does not exist). Fast forward to today, our mutual customer can not access cams outside network, called them, and instead of looking into the problem they said call me. After going between phone calls multiple times and wasting hours of both mine and my customers, telling them exactly what the problem was (dynamic DNS), but instead they give me grief and say there is nothing wrong with their system. After finally getting them to give the admin password, I was finally able to login and confirm my diagnosis and fix the problem in 5 minutes I have been a computer technician for over 15 years, installed and worked with numerous camera systems, currently a CTO at my primary job, and I have never had to deal with a company as horrible as this. It was a simple solution and I have no idea why they choose to put my customer through so much grief with such a simple problem/solution. And after finally giving the admin password, they told my customer never call them again and it was my problem now; real professional I would recommend people steer clear of Fairhaven Alarm Systems, either they are incompetent or too arrogant to fix problems with their installations, but bottom line just would never trust this company with anything, never mind security. And adding insult to injury about lying that if they give the owner the password it would void the warranty was just the icing on the cake. I even tried to call them back to tell them what they missed, but they "did not like my tone" (more like they did not like to be told they were wrong) and said they would call me back, which they never did
