They didn't seem to know how to set up a video conference (no zoom, google meet, Teams, or the like?). Was late for our meeting (and prolly forgot until I pinged them). Seemed apathetic, poorly managed, and unprepared during discussions. Very odd. Also of note: the rep who called me kept referring to their company as "At Home Care" (which if that is the case, I can see why they would change their company name -- At Home Care has terrible reviews on Yelp). The other review I saw for At Home Harmony (a 5-star review no less) looks like a sales pitch from an insider, but you be the judge. Another red flag was, the rep went right into a line of questioning about my age and medicare status (as if to line up future business) rather focus on the elder in my care. Too many red flags.

One attendant let my mom walk very far without her rollator, even though I'd just told her that my mom had fallen earlier in the week and had to get an x ray. The attendant was too busy on the phone complaining about my mom sundowning to catch that she was walking without her rollator. Another attendant brought my mom back with blood around her mouth and couldn't explain it when I asked questions. No wonder they've had huge turnover there.

The hospice doesn't issue their RNs company phones which they need to do their job correctly. Even knowing how close my husband was to death, they did not review the comfort cart with the facility and there was a delay with the morphine. Following his death, I never head anything from his main nurse. Only a call from someone else 7 days later about bereavement care. This is not the caring support I expected. Then, I had to call to push the doctor to sign the death certificate so my husband could be creamated. He was with this hospice over a year and not once did an MD or PA call me. The best part of the care was from the CNA who came to bathe him. I was naiive about the profit motive of hospices these days. Their monthly bills to Medicare were off the charts.
