But after 5 years it was still a rollercoaster of eczema coming and going and getting very severe at times, making it hard for her to sleep at night. I came here and she used a combination of acupuncture using some electric hand held thing (instead of needles), and some method to decrease her flare ups which I won't describe here because I think you just have to try it. Now a lot of the foods and things that caused flare ups are much less severe. It'll help if you know what causes the flare ups (ex: foods, heat, pets, etc). After the first treatment, I felt muscle relief and was able to focus more. Second session I felt the nerve pain where she needled around the eye and sinus areas. For my 3rd session, she needled me more than usual. She said I had a lot of dampness and sinus pain. I had cupping done as well to relax my back muscles. Acupuncture and cupping helps with relief. I was in so much discomfort that I had to take off from work. I was skeptical of getting an epidural steroid shot and instead on the recommendation of my colleague consulted Dr. Li. It turned out to be the most effective treatment for me. Thanks to Dr. Li, within a couple of Accupunture and Cupping sessions the pain and discomfort in my lower back and leg reduced signifacantly for me to go back to work. A few more sessions over the next couple of weeks along with some exercises and I no longer suffered from lower back pain or the radiating pain along my leg, even regained the feeling in my toes and strength in my right leg. More recently, I had an episode of Bells Palsy and again I consulted Dr. Li and she was very knowledgeable about this condition as well and the accupunture sessions helped me recover quickly (to the surprise of my primary care physician). I would not hesitate to refer Dr. Helen to anyone. She is a kind and personable person who is very knowledgeable in her field. I've always had terrible acne and literally anything, ANYTHING other than water on my face would break me out (I've tried things from Shiseido to Proactive to no avail) but after seeing her once a month, my skin has significantly improved and I barely break out now! I have Dr. Helen to thank for my improved skin, and am so thankful for her. My sisters all go to her as well, and she personalizes each of our facial treatments to suit our skin.
