Impeccable and friendly service with a true chefs tasting menu, be sure to make a reservation as the restaurant is small. Choose from a 1, 2 or 3 course meal, with dessert being additional, we came here twice and all menu items were amazing. The ravioli with stracchino, black truffle, mountain butter and parmagiano reggiano was my favorite. Mom loved the risotto with roasted onion semi dried tomato and basil. Interesting items such as the Catfish appetizer and complimentary seasoned herbed ricotta on a rice chip had interesting and unexpected flavors. Truly, don't miss this one.

The restaurant is clean and cozy with a beautiful fireplace . The service is outstanding and everyone is so pleasant and happy . Once seated , olive oil and bread was brought to the table. So yummy! Then another treat , herbed ricotta and chips was delivered compliments of the chef . It was so creamy and tasty . We then ordered the house wine which was excellent and for appetizer we had tge Catfish balls which were delicious . For our Primi and Secondi dishes my daughter ordered the Roasted Arctic Char and Ravioli with truffle. I got the Risotto with basil ,roasted onions and dried tomato and Sautéed summer vegetables in tomato sauce . The risotto was amazing , beautifully presented with a perfect bite . The vegetables were served in a pot , so fresh and tasty . Everything was exceptionally prepared well , flavorful and delicious! I highly recommend this lovely restaurant . Also be sure to make a reservation !

It was a very hot day and we asked for extra ice for our drinks, which the waitress brought without hesitation. It's a great stop, in fact I think the best stop, if you are looking to eat before/after visiting nearby Villa Balbianello. The food here is well made and reasonably priced. It's not gourmet cuisine nor does it pretend to be. We tried several dishes and everything was well made and delicious. If I was in the area, I'd definitely return. Food: 4 stars Ambiance: 4 stars Service: 4.5 stars Pro tip: if you are visiting the Villa take the express walkway directly to the restaurant. Look at a map app and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Our wine, pastas (stuffed ravioli with sage butter sauce and pasta with aubergines and tomatoes) were fabulous. The ambiance was great, quiet, slightly off the main area, and cute inside. If you're visiting Lake Como, this is an experience that should not be missed. Named after the…read morerectanglar sails of the Lake's fishing boats from a bygone era, Al Veluu would be worth a visit even if there was no panoramic view. The kitchen exhibits that ability peculiar to great Italian cooking of transforming good fresh ingredients in relatively simple recipes into exquisite dishes. We dined there twice recently, a dinner and a lunch. Both were extraordinary experiences. Two risotoo dishes in particular stand out : a porchini risotto and risotto Milanese with its saffon infusion; both were about as good as I have tasted anywhere. Pasta dishes and a preparation of a local lake fish were also perfectly seasoned and tasty. And both of the local wines that was recommended turned out to be delicious and well-matched to our dishes. But what elevates this epicurian experience above and beyond is the restuarant's location and thus its spendid vistas. Dining on the patio one sits high on a hilltop overlooking the lake, affording the diner with a majestic panorama. The candlelit table, the exquisite food, the wonderful wine and the splendor of Lake Como all around; as a romantic experience, it would be hard to beat. Getting to the restaurant, you should be aware, will generally require a car or a taxi. For our lunch we did walk up the hill. Walking takes around 20 minutes and the walk is up some moderately steep roads that are not pedestrian-friendly, so it would not be adviseable to walk it at night.

One of the best parts of this place is it's view. Make sure you see it with some daylight because it was pitch dark by the time we got there. Also, if you are going there for dinner think how you are coming down to Tremmezo again if you are staying along the coast. It was raining when we wanted to leave and we had walked/hiked there so there was only one way to leave. A Taxi. This was ridiculously expensive. We paid 25 euros for a 5-10 mins ride. Ridiculous! The restaraunt itself is rustic and the staff is friendly. The food is very yummy. I had the best prosciutto I have ever had and very good bufala mozzarella. One if us at the tomatoe sauce pasta and the other the pork loin stuffed with herbs and cheese. Yuuumy!!!! We were really full after our dinner and unfortunately did not go for dessert. The ambience is rustic and they had a fire going in their fireplace. The restaraunt is small and doesn't sit that many people. We were surprised that even tho there weren't too many people the service was relatively slow. Lastly, this restaurant is expensive. Portions are small for their price. But it's a really nice experience.

Our room was extremely well constructed and very clean. The view amazing and the breakfast buffet at Albergo was always fresh and we'll stocked even during peak times, never had to wait for a desirable table either. Nice bar off lobby and large restaurant on site. Also walking distance from ferry on Lake Como, fine dining, casual restaurants and gelato. When we stepped off the boat, there was a grassy area where the staff had hors d'oeuvres set up at a long table with a white tablecloth. There were cute little white wicker furniture sets with tables so the guests could mingle, take pictures, sip Prosecco and look out at the lake. When it was time for dinner, we moved from the grassy area to our tables, which were positioned perpendicular to the lake so everyone had a great view. The dinner was in the marquee - a permanent outdoor area with tile flooring covered by a big white tent. We had the garden half of the marquee to ourselves, so our seating area was adjacent to the grassy garden area where the hors d'oeuvres were served. The sides of the marquee were able to be closed independently so that as the sun was setting, strategic flaps were folded down to prevent the sun from annoying people as they ate while still letting a breeze into the marquee. The champagne was poured just before we were seated, and we had enough of it for everyone's toasts. After the champagne, there was red and white wine for the table. The antipasti we chose was the smoked salmon. It was a huge dish of thinly sliced salmon perfectly smoked and beautifully presented. The primi piatti we selected was a pasta with prawns. The pasta was cooked al dente and the prawns were very light and fresh. The secondi piatti was the beef limousine and vegetables. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare with a pink center and was very tender and juicy. Nothing about our wedding was conventional and we stayed true to that with dessert. Instead of a wedding cake, we selected a special dessert. With a wedding party of 32, there will always be a dish that someone doesn't care for because maybe they don't eat fish or they don't eat meat. But EVERYONE LOVED the chocolate fondue. They brought huge dishes of fruit with skewers and bowls of melted dark chocolate. The staff also brought out espresso. It was the perfect ending to a great meal. We had the area under the tent (the marquee) for as long as we wanted. But after dinner and drinks and long day, some people began to go back to the hotel. We stayed at the Albergo Lenno, which was less than a mile around the lake. It is a beautiful walk and very doable, especially since there are gelateria's along the way. But we also rented a bus for those in need of assistance for one reason or another. Inside the bar area was a dance floor and a local DJ (that we did not have to pay for) who played a great selection of popular songs that you would hear off the radio at home. We danced into the night with the locals and had a blast. They closed around 2am. It is also worth noting that on the other side of the dance floor is a large opening to a beach area. This was a large area with sand and lounge chairs. The kids loved playing in the sand in their wedding clothes .

Fortunately the menu for our day was outstanding and the pigeon probably tastes good. Mashed potatoes and cheese topped with caramelized onions 10/10 creamy, sweet, piping hot from the oven, just an altogether amazing dish. So much flavor it was one of the best dishes I experienced on a long trip to Italy. Wish I got a picture. Small salad came on the side that was a 3/10 it was so bitter I couldn't eat it. Spinach pasta with butter sage and nutmeg was really good! 7.5/10 it lacked a little flavor but the pasta was cooked perfect and the flavors that were there were balanced well. I would added more nutmeg and sage besides sprinkling the majority of it on top but it was good nonetheless Rabbit. Delicious meal 8.5/10. Surprisingly lacked a gamey taste and had a great texture. The sauce that came on the rabbit tasted so good I could've ate it on it's own. It probably would've been a 10/10 if it was served with some lamb chops or chicken. Let's be real rabbit isn't the best meat out there. Chocolate cake 6/10 lacked flavor. Looks like it should be fudgey but it was almost sponges and bready. Tasted more like nuts than chocolate. Overall a great experience
