Traditional casual Sicilian restaurant in central Catania that was a short walk from my hotel.
Great service and most servers can help in English. They also have menus in English which if you are not a native Italian speaker, I recommend as they have some interesting items on the menu you may not want to mix up.
I asked the waiter to help me select and enjoyed a pasta with sardines, tomatoes and pistachios €12. Epic! The main was pork stuffed with white local cheese and pistachio paste €14. Again, epic! Paired with the excellent local rioja €7, so good.
No room for desert but I would put money down it was good. This is a very nice restaurant.
Only thing I didn't like is several donkey plates on the menu. I love horses so not my thing. Apparently very traditional to eat horse or donkey on the island. With the Mediterranean Sea walking distance, I would have thought more seafood, less donkey. read more
