I was half an hour late to my reservation, but the staff very graciously gave me the next available table, which they did not have to because there was a queue of Italians waiting to come in. For dinner, I had the best Sicilian, 4-course, typico meal, all for less than $30: a half-litre of the House, blanco white wine, house salad (very fresh tomatoes, ricotta, cipollina/herbs), a primi platter of penne with anchovies and a caponata-like ragu, for the secondi, a grilled mackerel or "Pesce fresco di giornata," and, for dessert, a slice of "Woman's Day" cake (that's what it was called) that tasted like an egg-based/angel food cake, with a creamy, lemoncello-like filling.
