I don't know if he was a sommelier, but he certainly knew all about the wines in the region. I started with a crisp dry white wine and ended with 2 reds that were dry and flavorful ...okay so night number 2, yes I went back again. It wasn't a fluke, staff is really that knowledgeable about wine and food, they really are that friendly, music is really that on trend and food is really that good. Night 1 had a ribeye cooked perfectly medium with salt flakes on top. 2nd night tataki with sesame, almonds and honey with sweet potatoes on the side. Red wine was still on point. There are amazing places to eat in Catania so it means a lot to me to go to the same restaurant 2 times in 2 nights.

It was "early" for dinner but the server treated us warmly. They had two draft beers and offered a taste sample. Our order was the blonde ale, some wings, beef short ribs and a bacon cheeseburger (I know- "American food in Sicily, what were we thinking). The wings (7 pieces) were hot and delicious served with three sauces. Our entrees arrived and to our amazement, the beef ribs were fork tender and delicious. The burger was cooked perfect with a house made sauce - also delicious. The long and short is the locals have an amazing, "American style" smokehouse dining option that would be a big success in the BBQ locations in the US. Strongly suggest you check it out!

We got a rib and a lemony meatball, both were actually pretty good, not very gamey but the meat tends to be more tough than your typical beef. We also had their pork sausage and a couple of side salads. The meat is all cooked out on the grill outside the restaurant's entrance, so you actually get to watch your meat getting cooked. The bill was not cheap (50€ total) but it was definitely worth the experience.
