Best Greek restaurant that I've ever ate at. My wife and I stopped by this place on a random Thursday evening and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and the overall experience. We each had Cyprus meze, which was described as a way to experience a variety of dishes in one sitting by our server. We thought we were going to get tapas like, smaller portion sizes but to our amazement, the serving sizes were more than generous. Everything tasted exquisite and we had leftovers galore, even though we stuffed ourselves to the limit. It was unbelievable! We will definitely be back the next time we are in B-town. 5++++ rating. read more

Food was amazing and it was a pleasure interacting with the executive chef Andreas - you can tell he really cares about his food and customers. Highly recommend! read more

Great restaurant - awesome food. Service was excellent. Too bad we had screaming children right beside us. Parents did little to control the situation. I highly recommend this spot. read more

Great service and food. The owner came and greeted us which is rare nowadays. We had octopus, three of the dips, a skewer of chicken slouvaki ( custom as we asked), flaming cheese ( can't spell the name of it) and the chefs feta cheesecake. I will go back to try the lamb chops that looked amazing. read more

I visited this place on the weekend and loved it! It's a rather small spot, but very modern and well decorated inside with dim lighting which adds to the mood. Service was fantastic from the jump, with the waiter coming to us as soon as we were seated to introduce himself. For apps we ordered: calamari, Garadakia saganaki, halloumi, and saganaki opa. All were superb! Wonderful medley of flavors and very well presented. Delicious! For my main I had a greek salad with gyros which was also lovely. Others ordered the spaghetti with seafood, halibut, salmon and the chicken souvlaki dinner. Everyone loved their meal aside from the chicken souvlaki. The rice was hard unfortunately and chicken was not super tasty. This is the only reason they missed the last star The owner is the chef and walked around all the tables greeting everyone. He is so warm and friendly, you want to be his friend! Lastly, as he learned we were there for a birthday dinner, he provided us with Ouzo shots on the house and even took one with us (in true greek fashion!) . That was a great experience! read more

Best Greek food I've ever had owner and chef is amazing ! Top notch

I went to Mythos for my birthday dinner and LOVED it! The food is delicious and great quality, we also get large portions and leave feeling satisfied. I got a gyro salad and it was HUGE. We also ordered a platter meal and it was amazing. The staff are incredibly friendly and insightful about the food. I would definitely recommend and would go again and again. read more

Mythos is an amazing restaurant. It has an amazing vibe, and it is very comfortable. All the types of food are unique and relate with Greek, which gives a good feeling about the restaurant. All the meals are delicious and it is close to places with lots of people. I didn't like the timing since the food took a while to make. read more

Fantastic! What a great meal. The owner/head chef came out and checked on us multiple times. Prices are fair and taste is exquisite! Very friendly staff, great atmosphere. I highly recommend. read more

This truly is the hidden gem of Burlington. From the moment we walked in we were met with a welcoming atmosphere, pleasant smile from staff and Chef Andreas (owner) who personally ensured that our EVER bite was to our/his expectations. We left with a wonderful experience and a cheese cake (with a twist) that ALL should be lucky enough to try. Thank you Chef Andreas & staff we will be back :) read more

Mythos - Greek Near Me - Burlington, Ontario

New favourite!! Needed a place for a business dinner so googled top 10 restaurants in Burlington and took a chance. Couldn't be happier with the evening. Beautiful decor, amazing, fresh food. Generous and a nice mix of unique and traditional dishes. Friendly, attentive service by not only our very sweet and helpful waitress, but also chef and owner, Andreas who took the time to come out to meet us and all the other guests that night to make sure we were happy with the food and our experience, even sharing a shot of ouzo with us to celebrate our enjoyment evening! We will definitely go back (and will be recommending Mythos to others! read more

Honestly was a bit disappointing. Saw the reviews and the menu and the marketing and was expecting to get my socks knocked off but it just wasn't that good. It wasn't bad - don't get me wrong - just wasn't that good. read more

Great service and very authentic Greek food. Excellent Greek wines on the list. Decor is very welcoming. Minor drawback is the lemon potatoes or should I say "potatoes lemon". These are the most sour potatoes I have ever tasted. Maybe that's how they do this in Greece but the lemon could be toned down a bit. Not a major issue though. I will definitely go back but avoid the potatoes lemon next time. read more

I really like this restaurant. I had mousaka and it was probably the best I've ever had. I spoke with the chef and he explained that they cook the the mousaka one dish at a time. It was so fresh and delicious. The main course came with a Greek salad that was also very tasty. The service was great and the ambiance was excellent. The menu offers excellent choices. I strongly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants good Greek food. Great job!! read more

I took my parents, grandparents and fiance here for my birthday and it was our first time dining at this restaurant. We love Greek food, especially family-owned restaurants that make you feel welcomed and serve authentic dishes. We ordered a lot of food, wine, etc., and were charged $30 extra for "sharing" dishes. I don't know about everyone but whenever I go out to eat, i'd like to try all the dishes that are on the table. When we asked our wait staff why we were not allowed to share, he gave us an example of 6 people going to a buffet and only paying for 1 person (this makes no sense as it does not apply in our case). When we order at a restaurant, we get a fixed quantity, now, whether we decide to share it between 2 people or 20, it really is nobody's business as long as we pay for what we order. I found this to be extremely rude and it made our dining experience very difficult. And lastly, the wait staff had to be reminded twice that it was my birthday and my fiance had requested for a small pastry with a candle on it. He came by and told us that normally they would've charged for it but the chef decided to "do us a favour". There are a lot of other classier, upscale, or even family-style Greek restaurants that offer better food and better service. I would not recommend this place! read more

Yummy Greek food, excellent portions sizes and great service!

Tried this place as my wife's only request for our anniversary dinner was "good Greek food". Turned off by very poor service at Sotiris on multiple visits. After eating at Mythos, I wouldn't go back to Sotiris if you paid me. The service was fantastic and the food was even better. The Grecian platter for 2 was amazing and we brought home enough leftovers for lunch the next day. My new favourite restaurant. read more

My husband, two friends and myself had an excellent meal tonight in this Greek restaurant. The waiter who served us, I think his name was Paul, was very welcoming and attentive. The chef, Andreas, came to our table to describe how he cooked some of the dishes on offer and all four of us agreed everything we ate was delicious. We wish we lived in Burlington so we could come back to eat here often. They deserve to do well. read more

My first time here and I can honestly say it was a great overall experience. Good location, fantastic service, and a wide variety on the menu. I had the 32$ a person taste tester meal and while not everything was to my liking, quite a fair amount was. Definitely its for someone who wants to try something new! Their more classic meals like the pork, chicken, and gyro meat were quite tasty! If your looking for a decent souvlaki meal I would recommend here. While the rice is a little on the plain side, and the potatoes would be better served with lemon, it was quite a worth it dish. The dining experience and service was definitely high class and there was no logical complaints to be made about this experience. However I would not recommend the shareable plate for a picky eater. I generally enjoy most foods and flavours but certain things included, even I did not like them all. But would totally go back again! read more

I went here with colleagues a few weeks ago based on a the advice of a Greek friend who says it's her favorite restaurant and I loved it! I decided to return with my daughter and her friend and her mom. The waiter was very condescending. I enjoyed the rose house wine and asked to see the bottle. It was wild vines. A very cheap wine that we had just paid a silly price for. But it was the attitude of the older arrogant waiter as he slammed it down on the table I could do without. He served my Greek salad with onions when I asked without. He told me he would pick them out and and I suggested a new salad. He picked out half. With his bare hands? Let's hope not. He asked my daughter if he could box her dinner as she was still eating it. He cleared every dish, while she was clearly not done. It's Christmas, so he still got his tip, but they have lost my business. The dinner I enjoyed with business colleagues had a young polite waiter and made me want to return. This sour puss, not so much. read more

Finally a top quality Greek restaurant in Burlington. This is an experience not just a meal. This is everything you would expect on the Danforth. The food is so superb and the servers are attentive and friendly. We have had three celebrations in the last month and it has never disappointed yet. Go online and read the succulent menu. We have tried so many items and all are mouthwatering. Check out the huge sampler meals. Be prepared to take home more than one carton. For a starter try the saganaki (fried cheese) best we've ever had. Potatoes here are in the most amazing lemony buttery sauce. Rice is light and fluffy. Veggies are grilled and done to perfection. Hummus with warm pita is tangy and creamy. Souvlaki (chicken and pork) are perfect. Sometimes they have a salmon special that is salmon cheese and spinach in a phyllo pastry to die for. Greek salad tastes exactly the way it should and packed with feta. Be prepared to have the owner and or chefcome and visit all tables. Iwas treated to amelt in your mouth walnut sticky cake for my birthday and we all had a complimentary shot of ouzo. The personal fav now with our fam is the chicken chunks in ouzo sauce. Tell them to drown it. It is the best cream sauce we have ever had and we have been all over Italy and tried many creamy sauces. You must visit this restaurant whenever in burlington.
