It's a shame because there are so few good stores in this area. I went to all of them today and didn't find one that was a strong comic book store. If you like certain collectibles, you'll find a lot here, but if you're looking for comic books (which this store is listed) then you might be disappointed. SELECTION: Definitely packed full of product but I find that these types of stores in the end don't do well because product that doesn't sell sits on the shelves so long they gather dust. Not focused enough. And the comic wall isn't well stocked. SERVICE: Helpful in explaining why there isn't a lot in stock but too bad because this place has lots of potential. In a waning market this is the most well positioned store to do well. If they only did an ordering service, it would likely solve some of their problems. COST: Reasonable but not exceptional. Instead of going the collectibles route (I would definitely have collectibles but not the fad kind), I would go the comic book / gaming / sports card route. Card collectibles are of high value and take up so very little space. Funkos are great, but to give them shelf space they aren't worth it.

Owner definitely has an issue that needs to be resolved immediately. As for the contents of the store, it sadly left a lot to be desired. Comics were not sorted alphabetically on the shelves, older guy sitting behind the counter made it clear he did not want to be bothered, and some of the merchandise was WAY TOO expensive. I understand he has a shop in the Del Monte Shopping Center so renting the space can be pricey, but $30 for a "normal" Funko Pop that isn't a Chase, or special edition, is just plain ridiculous. Hot Topic on the other side of the shopping center had the exact same Funko Pop for $11.90 My partner found a cool Batman graphic novel, but by that point I felt like I was gonna be sick due to the mold smell, so I had to leave. I hope the owner can get their priorities straight, and take care of the store before someone does get sick.

Suzan was extremely disrespectful asking if "I was sure this is the right book store I got it from" and I asked why would I walk into this bookstore then? She replied back saying "because there's more than one bookstore in this area". I did not have a receipt but I did show her the purchase receipt on my Wells Fargo account. They don't even give you a refund just a store credit, which she did not go over. Do better on handling customer service!

I've been a few times now, and every time I walk in, it seems to be lacking in organization, friendly atmosphere, promotions, style, and customer service. During my most recent visit, the shop appeared to be the most disorganized and uninviting I have ever experienced. I got two things, which he rang up, and then he scanned another bar code taped to the wall, like I wouldn't notice, and then tried to overcharge me. I was like, "Uh... sorry but what?" And then he took it back, giving me a flimsy excuse, saying, "Oh, I forgot we changed the price of those." Which... who the hell knows what he was referring to. Maybe I could give him the benefit of the doubt, but the dude has always felt especially weird to me, and this seemed scammy. Also, when I asked if he had the most popular and best sleeves for cards that EVERYONE uses, he snickered and mentioned how they got rid of those years ago...... I don't know a single other shop that doesn't carry them. It's actually crazy. I won't be going here again. There need to be some serious improvements made. Here's some advice: you're in one of the wealthiest places in California, and therefore, the world. Maybe try to capitalize on that.

It felt like stepping into nostalgia with a modern twist. I was extra pumped to see queer stickers, flags, and pins. Big love for that inclusive touch. I left with some treasures: a pin for me, stickers, a puzzle, and a ridiculously cute teacup "porse" (for my wife's friend). The girl behind the counter was really nice and helped us choose a puzzle! Already planning my return. Next time I'm hunting for that perfect game or quirky gift.

The bookstore section is kind of small, but it is nicely decorated and organized. There's a large children's section that I appreciated and the plethora of plush puppets was something I had never seen before.
