Booked and paid a deposit for 1am, they didn't turn up, none of the numbers they gave on the website or confirmation worked and when we did eventually reach someone, he claimed he was calling us from 12:50 (we had no missed calls or messages) and he wasn't going to return until 02:15, wanting to leave 4 women stranded for over an hour. This company is a complete scam. Do NOT use!! They took the deposit, booked and confirmed and then change the price by 60%. I was was left arguing with them on the phone at the airport, with the taxi driver demanding more money and being left out of pocket. Do not use. About 5 days before we travelled we booked a taxi to Exeter. Price quoted, agreed and paid for. About 10 hours before it was due a flood of emails and WhatsApp messages came in demanding an extra 5.50 was paid to the driver. As I'd paid I replied no. Then the price went up again, 15 pounds etc demanded with links to pay, again I said no. Eventually they effectively said pay it or we will cancel. I replied I've already paid. Then they agreed to do it for the original price. Then sent another demand that 10 pounds was paid to the driver. I replied no,you agreed original price. Then they offered to cancel and refund. Refusing to let them bully me into paying more,I agreed to a cancellation and a refund. Still waiting for that of course. Stuck then for a taxi at 4am taxi from rural Devon to a train station to catch a train for a flight. An 80 Yr old man had to get up at 4am to give a lift. Then the taxi turned up,also demanding money insisting he'd been booked An expensive, stressful mistake using these. I'm not even sure if they are legit. I booked with mytaxe, got emails from GBAirport something,messages from Henry's taxi company and then someone called James fro yet anothef company turned up. I think the scam is, let you book at one price, then contact at the last minute saying its more and get increasingly pushy to pay or lose the booking and, as many will be stuck otherwise, hope you pay it. The most disingenuous and untrustworthy company I've used. I booked a ride, but they didn't recognise my deposit. Then when I called to confirm the ride, they said they didn't have any cab available. I asked for a refund, and they wouldn't. Never use this company. read more

Avoid at ALL costs! Booked and fully paid for an airport transfer; when I wanted to know the name of the company that would be picking me up they refused to tell me, then when I did my own research and found out, the company told me that there was no booking made with them at all. Red flags now raised, I realised the website was full of badly-spelled English and I read the reviews... realised all of this too late, and at my own cost! Five days later and I have been passed to every employee there, none of whom speak English very well, and hide behind their lack of understanding as an excuse not to help. I have been told, by various people, when they aren't hanging up on me without a reason: 1) I cannot cancel or have a refund 2) I CAN have a refund, but with a 10% admin fee 3) I don't have a booking at all 4) I can now have a full refund 5) I'll be phoned by the admin team 6) There IS no admin team 7) They'll process my refund same-day 8) No, wait, it'll be next week before my money returns to my bank 9) There's no record of my booking OR my refund I'm still waiting for my refund, and half expecting a taxi to turn up for this supposedly cancelled booking... We had booked a cab from Canterbury to Ashdown Forest and return and paid in advance.They requested my contact information with email and mobile number. They said they would contact me prior to pick up at eight am on Sep 18. I received no email, text or call from mytaxe. When no one had arrived, I tried to call the numbers on the website and they did not work. I did establish a chat and was told that the driver was not coming because of car trouble. I do not know why no one emailed, texted or called to notify me prior to that moment. I was told that another car would be sent but that the other car would not arrive until nine forty five. We agreed to wait and the car arrived at ten ten. That driver was very upset and told us that he was notified late and could not possibly have arrived at our Canterbury hotel by nine forty five. He warned us not to book online with mytaxe in the future. We did finally arrive at Ashdown Forest more than two hours later than we had planned Mytaxe had guaranteed to send a cab to pick us up at four pm. Again, despite what they had told us about the driver contacting us, there was no email, no text and no call. Because of our problems that morning, I started another chat about three thirty to ask about status of our cab. I was told that it was on its way but when I pressed for details, I was told that the cab was not coming and that I should make other arrangements to get back to Canterbury. Just imagine my situation. We are in Ashdown Forest, not in downtown London. I cannot step out to flag a cab. They had abandoned us in the forest. We had a contract and they reneged on that contract and left us stranded miles away from our hotel. We were fortunate that there was still someone at Ashdown Forest who gave us the number of a local cab company but they could not provide us a cab. We called around and were eventually successful. That driver was polite and knew what he was doing and had us back in Canterbury in less time that our trip in the morning. I marvel that this firm is still in business. Mytaxe never did any of the things that they had told us they would do. I cannot believe that they had no hesitation to abandon us in the woods of Ashdown Forest. After contacting MyTaxe again, I was told they would refund the fare I had paid for their cab that did not show up. It has been two weeks and no refund so far. read more

Never use this taxi company. I booked a mytaxe cab from Brighton to Horsham for 3am on Sunday morning., and had received a confirmation text and email. When it hadn't turned up by 3:10 I called, and was told that there was no taxi available for me, and there never had been, yet I had not been notified of this and they had no intention of telling me so (I asked and they told me this was the case). About 20 minutes later I received a call saying that there would in fact be a taxi coming for me in half an hour, and was told this was a 100% guarantee. After waiting in the cold until 4am I received another call to say that there would in fact be no taxi coming, with no apology for the inconvenience. This meant that a group of four vulnerable 18 year old girls were stranded in Brighton at 4am with no other way to get home. Eventually we found a taxi that could take us home, but for £130 when the taxi we had booked would only be costing £50. I called the next day to explain what had happened and asked for at least some of the £80 cost difference to be given in compensation, but whoever I had spoken to then and the night before was completely dismissive and I was told 'whatever' when explaining myself. I was told they would call me back, yet this has not happened yet and I highly doubt it ever will.
