The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals every day, which saved tons of money (restaurants in Montreal are expensive). The best part of the apartment is the gorgeous deck, where we spent every evening enjoying dinner, wine, and relaxing. The apartment is about a 10-15 minute walk to Marche Jean-Talon, which is the first thing we did in Montreal-- stocked up on tons of fresh fruits, veggies, local meats and eggs and bread. The apartment is only 5 minutes walk to the Beaubien Metro (subway), which we used almost every day to explore the sights of Montreal. The subway is clean and extremely efficient, and cost-effective if you buy an Opus card. Alain was a nice host (he and his wife live downstairs), and although we didn't need anything, he made sure we knew we could always knock on his door if we did. The rental process itself was easy, and he immediately refunded to us our security deposit after we checked out. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we can't wait to go back!

I booked with them upon returning to Canada, and from start to finish it was a complete nightmare. First, they charged me a $1000 "deposit", which they claim is refundable after your stay. I have yet to receive a single cent back. Then, they added a "professional cleaning fee", even though the apartment was anything but clean. The floors were filthy -- my socks turned black just from walking around. There was dust everywhere, and food crumbs stuffed between the couch cushions, clearly left behind by previous guests. When I arrived late at night after more than 12 hours of travel, I was greeted by a broken bed, a leaking shower that was already developing mold, a damaged blind, and furniture covered in dings and scratches. The furnishings looked like they had been picked up from garage sales. One side of the couch was broken and sat lower than the other side, and the kitchen table was so oversized for the space that it had to be shoved awkwardly into the living room, overlapping the couch. The hard plastic dining chairs were unbearably uncomfortable, and the kitchen island, which was bar height, had no bar stools -- just one of the plastic kitchen chairs awkwardly placed beside it. For a company calling itself "Corporate Stays," there was shockingly no desk or proper workspace at all. The place felt more like a run-down dorm room than a professional rental. During my stay, one of the kitchen drawers broke off its track, adding to the growing list of issues. To make matters worse, we had a terrible experience during their "fire alarm testing." It was chaotic, poorly communicated, and incredibly disruptive. I would never recommend Corporate Stays to anyone -- not even my worst enemy. You'll end up overpaying for a subpar, dirty, and poorly maintained apartment managed by a company that clearly doesn't care about its customers. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. DO NOT BOOK WITH CORPORATE STAYS.

Then they emailed to say we would receive the full refund however, that took almost 3 months before it was received and they were not answering phone calls or emails. Customer service was brutal! This little hotel was perfect. Clean, well decorated, and full stocked with cooking and eating utensils, fridge, dishwasher, stove, microwave, toaster oven, etc. The place is perfect. The bed is comfortable, there are plenty of pillows (a comfortable bed and good pillows are a must for me), and free internet. There aren't many parking spaces around, so if you have a car, let the owner know ahead of time. She let us use her private parking space, which is fine for us, but do call ahead and make sure that there is room. The toilet flushes a little funky, but overall the place is clean and exactly what we need for a slightly longer stay that lets us feel more like living in a home. You will not get daily maid service, but this is fine for us as we usually don't let the maids in when we are in a hotel (it makes us feel pressured to clean up before they come in). However, if you need anything (extra towels for example), the owner is available during business hours. Overall, this is perfect for what we wanted. At a big chain hotel, we would be paying twice the rate to get half the things in terms of size and convenience. Plus, this place is much quieter! No screaming kids running down a hallway outside! I would definitely come back, and it's also nice to know that I'm supporting a small local business.

Extremely convenient location right in the heart of Vieux Montreal; lots of shopping, great restaurants, directly across the street from the port, and just steps away from Rue St. Paul and points of interest. Our streetside room overlooked the port and was very quiet, with a view. I called with a question before our stay and the gentleman was very courteous and helpful. Price was very reasonable. As it is still off-season (mid-April) I'm not sure if any of this would be different during summer peak. Yes, you need to park off-site as you would anywhere else in old Montreal, but the Grand Quay parking is right across the street, very safe and convenient and at $35 CD for 24 hours, very reasonable. Yes, this is an "AirBnB -type accommodation" where you need to make your own bed and hang up your own towels, as some have stated. But this was right up there as one of the top AirBnB experiences I have ever had! Our kids and friends rented an AirBnB in the building right next door, and our place was sooo much nicer, cleaner, modern than theirs (was very run down) and I am very glad we chose to book this one. I truly can't say enough good things about our experience, highly recommend it and will definitely look to stay here again on any future trips to Montreal!

The only "watch out" is that there is a cleaning fee at the end which may not be detailed well in the listing rates-it wasn't expensive but can be a surprise for some.

My husband and I were forced to postpone our stay at ApartHotelMontreal due to a flight cancellation on Air Canada. We attempted to contact ApartHotelMontreal multiple times to notify them of the situation and struggled for days to reach someone in their offices. When they finally responded, the manager agreed to provide a hotel credit if we cancelled the reservation on Expedia. We contacted Expedia as instructed, and the Expedia representative informed us that ApartHotelMontreal would need to cancel our reservation independently. When we tried to resume contact with the ApartHotelMontreal staff, they were unresponsive. After many phone calls and emails, we finally received a response regarding a credit. They retracted their offer. Highly unprofessional and a deeply unsatisfactory experience.

There's no reception desk and you check in to the hotel and your room with a code that's emailed to you. There's a lobby with coffee and on Sundays, some pastries, and laundry machines in the hallways. The rooms themselves are like mini apartments. There's small kitchenettes and nice bathrooms with rainfall showers. TVs come equipped with AppleTV's and there's reliable and fast Wifi. Walls are a bit thin though. My next door neighbours were binge watching The Office which I was reminded of every time the opening played. It's a 5 minute stumble home from 3AM La Banquise poutine and next door to a fancy meal at Au Pied du Cochon. It's 5 minutes from the Sherbrooke subway station and next to the beautiful Parc Lafontaine. It's a great location in the Plateau and out of the really touristy areas. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. While there wasn't a check in counter, it didn't feel impersonal at all.

    We did like the location, feel and actual apartment we stayed in at Le Qube, and we did book…read morethrough AirBnB. However, I feel for the price, you could do better-- and I wish they were more communicative about the problems that they had encountered to prep the guests for their visit. I did write a review through Airbnb, and I will relay the content through there, as well as add pictures to describe what happened. Per my Airbnb review: "The location is wonderful, apartment is a good crash pad... However, the A/C was not working as advertised, and they were aware of the issue beforehand due to a fire. Since A/C was essential during a hot summer, they were nice enough to bring a fan, however, they DID know about the issue beforehand and they could have warned us so we could have made alternate arrangements, or they could have offered more for the inconvenience. They had limited amenities-- no hand soap, for instance, though there was dish washing soap, and shower gel. While they were nice, and somewhat timely, it was difficult to reach them if it was urgent (my calls usually went to voicemail.) Some doors were not working (entrance) or they were hard to open. They should be able to keep their properties updated better, as well as updating their potential guests about issues that may arise. While the location was great, given the inconvenience, I would hesitate in rebooking unless they were extremely specific about updates re: amenities." So let me update with what happened: We booked this apartment due to the location, and the amenities. Due to medical conditions, I tend to run unreasonably hot and therefore, I usually book places that have air conditioning. We booked it, given that the apartment looked nice and featured air conditioning. As soon as we stepped into the unit, there was no "welcome booklet" provided from the company (we had to look downstairs in the lobby for their quick check in sheet), as well as the A/C unit itself was not working. We quickly told them this, and they were nice enough to send a maintenance man over the next day. The maintenance man came over and then told us he did not know how to fix it, after trying a couple solutions. After letting them know about the result, they went out of their way to message us, telling us that the problem was connected to something that they knew about beforehand. Yes, I understand a fire is out of your control, but this is your property. If you knew it would affect the units, why wouldn't you remedy this by providing this information to guests that you are renting the units out to, or offering to place them in a different location? I don't think that's unreasonable, and most places providing service of that caliber would think of solutions. They did provide us with a fan, which I noted in my original review-- was great on them. However, it wasn't enough to provide us with a comfortable sleep. I find it funny that they kept citing outside temperatures and that we should be able to sleep comfortably. Unfortunately, even with the windows open, apartments can be well isolated and since there is no wind, it can still cause apartments to be hot. With the fan on, while they cited 18 C temperatures, it was, in fact (due to their wall units and the temperatures we had seen) actually 24 - 26 C consistently in the apartment. None of the support people were even on property as this is a self-serviced apartment, so I believe they are just trying to save face. After reading their airbnb review (saying I was "unfair and trying to demand more money even though so and so") I would never stay here again. Despite their paltry refund of 10% and a complimentary night stay-- why would I stay at a place that knew about the problems, and then didn't try to remedy them beforehand? And then, additionally, why would I stay after they wrote me a bad review with false information? This would have been a 2-3 star review due to excellent location and cleanliness. But their service is severely lacking. You could do better.
